Yes, I know you were talking about the character, but sometimes a character can be given life by an outstanding actor. And the opposite. Do they evolve and become better? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Sung Hoon has stayed exactly the same throughout his career. He arguably was better in earlier projects (Oh My Venus, Five Children) where he had a secondary role than when he became a male lead. My darling Cha Eun-woo has stayed the same too, no big improvement. Same for Ahn Hyo-seop and Ong Seong Wu. Same for Ki Do Hoon whom I first saw in Once Again and now I'm seeing in Jinxed at First. No development. Maybe if they made the effort to drop their career for a while and spend three years in a good acting school... But that's probably risky for them, they might be forgotten and other, younger actors could take their place. They already have a very small window until they go to the army and then they are in their '30s.

The problem is that she very obviously doesn't see him like a man. At all.
Generally speaking, when you want to know who the girl is going to end up with, look at the posters and the order of the actors' names on the official releases. Here both guys are in the poster, but Chani's name is before the other guy's in every list.

Because as an actor he's totally forgettable.

I can understand why he hesitates. It's because she has never given any impression that she likes him romantically. Deep down, he knows that she doesn't reciprocate his feelings. Confessing and getting rejected would make things awkward and maybe ruin the friendship. But he hadn't thought (or didn't WANT to think) of the eventuality that she would fall for someone else.

That's another matter. And yes, I agree with that. However the character is supposed to be 21. Actors are known to play characters younger and older. Just think of all the actors nearing their 30s who have played high-schoolers. Lee Minho in "Heirs" comes to mind.

She was never 30, she was 21. And of course she would act like that, given her background, isolation and censorship of books. But she adjusted pretty quickly, didn't she, when she saw different sorts of people in the world.

Yes, that was his problem in Once Again as well. I thought well, let's give him time, he will eventually get better. But no.

I don't think she meant realistic character, but realistic growth, even if the characters are fantasy. In good fantasy or Sci-Fi books (and films and dramas), that create fantasy worlds, this fantasy world has its rules, and everything has to go by those rules. For instance in Asimov's robot novels (and also those of others of that era) there were the Three Laws of Robotics, and all stories had to take them into account. And so on. You can't write random actions which wouldn't make sense within the fantasy world. For instance, you (the writer) say that your character has X powers, you cannot show him/her not have them in a random scene, unless you explain why they were lost. Otherwise, the audience will call you out on that .

She has childish reactions because of her upbringing, but she's not dumb at all. Are you implying that children and teenagers are dumb just because they don't have many years' experience? (Okay, they do lots of dumb things, but you can't call them dumb for that). You can be dumb at any age. This said, the FL does become adjusted to many things quite quickly. I have watched until episode 6 and there's quite a difference.

I think that Babi was traumatized because of what happened when he was honest with her, and now he's walking on eggshells, and making blunders as a result.

Her standard is that the man has to be a 100% perfect Disney prince. With this mindset, she'll end up alone. After all, she's not 100% perfect herself: immature, insecure, uncommunicative, prideful, always trying not to lose face. She hasn't evolved much since season 1. A little bit, yes, but not much.

Yes, someone like Konrad Lorenz would have lots to say about it. Or Robert Ardrey (author of "The Territorial Imperative"). LOL!

True, that. But he didn't actually say anything. The story of those two is full of things that were thought but never got said.

A lot can happen in two episodes. Not Woong, of course. Let's see. The writers want to keep us guessing until the very end.

On the other hand, there are people like that in real life as well. People who don't want to (or just cannot) communicate their thoughts and feelings and let misunderstandings and silence ruin relationships.

Some growth... Yes and no. It's easy to be confident etc. when you have money and success. The real test was when he was at his lowest. Now he doesn't have anything to hide now, on the contrary he wants to boast of it. His Pride cell is still going strong. And, on the other hand, he's still childish and petty in the confrontation scene with Ba Bi.

Wung has grown? Yes and no. He still values his pride, he wants to boast about his achievements because he felt inferior in Season 1.
