Title In Your Radiant Season Spoiler
This is a rare show where I completely get why the ML isn't being honest, cause telling her who he really is would also reveal her BF was a cheater who didn't even care enough to send her a few texts, which would be really painful after everything. I still think it would help her move on better, but I wouldn't be eager to tell someone that either.

It's also so refreshing that the FL has self awareness and is actaully changing and not making the same mistakes over and over, I have seen FLs not change in an entire season as much as this FL does in one episode.

I like the ML a lot but I find the way he forces smiles uncomfortable, but I guess that's the point? He flipped so hard to the happy side that it's more like toxic positivity at times, but he is realizing he has to face his past one way or the other, cause he got hella baggage to work through still.

I love the warmth and easy connection that has formed between them, and how they've both already been able to open up and learn from eachother. I am not bored in the slightest. I binged all 5 eps in one day and was so sad there wasn't a 6th!

Honestly why does the storyline seem so farfetched? I love lee sung kyung and really wanted to like this drama,…
It's easy to convince yourself that someone is just busy, esp when they're telling you everything is fine, she's human after all. And for the time the ML was talking to her instead she developed a closer bond, tho to me her deep sadness/trauma about it all was less how much she loved him and more about the fact that he died suddenly, just like her parents.

all the go youn jung haters are jealous bc they can’t be her…I can’t wait for this new drama the only problem…
Imagine calling Koo Kyo Hwan, Kim Seon-ho, Lee Jee Wook, and Seo In-guk ugly with your full chest, how embarrassing I would literally quit the internet

I wouldn't call her a great actress, but calling her "wooden" is pretty wild. That's why I can't take any of these negative comments seriously. You can tell when people are just commenting out of pettiness when they exaggerate. She has great chemistry with her costars every time, has good charisma, and does certain emotions/expressions/vibes very well. There are truly wooden actresses who she acts circles around, and there are actresses who act circles around her especially in some areas of more subtle acting. But she is talented enough to be given main roles like this esp if the director and writer believe in her ability.

I’m on episode 5. This drama is a mixed bag. I’m enjoying it while simultaneously frustrated by it. I’m…
SIG is sooo good once he actually has a part to play, it is worth the wait. But I don't think the second half washed out the bad taste from the first half, it's still quite frustrating even after it shifts more to the real world focus

This show has its really funny, dreamy, and even moving moments, but I'd suggest heavy use of the 2x speed button for this one. The first half really drags, I can only watch the FL fall for so many other dudes while the sparkling SIG is standing around in the background looking more handsome than ever and BEGGING to be the actual male lead. And once he is by god does he deliver, he is so wasted in this drama. I thought Jisoo brought a lot of energy into the role, but the writing for the FL (and maybe partly her performance) made her seem super capricious and that made it hard to really believe in their love. I really only cared about it cause Gyeon Nam is the weirdest, cutest little puppy ever and deserves to be happy.

I felt the exact same way as you at that point and it DOES get better so kepe watching, but the FL is frustrating throughout

I think you really exaggerated that there weren't signs he liked her before episdoe 6, I felt like that was pretty obvious from the beginning. Him getting her the coffee (was made clear he got two to give one to her even if he denied it), him going to more team dinners and always seeming to be pretty satisfied when they had to spend time together, and just a lot of littel things about the way he acted, like I noticed like after they would have meetings he would stop at the window outside the room and just watch her for a few seconds, stuff like that.

But I totally agree with your other points, even if there were signs there was not enough of him and enough of their interactions and I actually watched quite a bit of the first half in 2x speed because of the amount of time spent on her dating the virtual guys.

I actually think all of the boyfriends did something important for the story, the first one helped her understand romance writers and help the crazy writer lady out, seo kang joon helped her face and work through the breakup with her old boyfriend, and then later highlighted how noen of these virtual bofyriends are really "hers" and I actually thought it was great that her "ideal" virtual boyfriend looked just like the ML in real life. But it didn't work overall because of how little and late the actual love story between her and the ML developed, and it took her sooo long to actually give him a chance.

The episode where we finally see how the ML has been feeling this whole time made me kinda mad ,because it made him such a different character, and also SIG is such a good actor and I agree he was wasted for the first half.

I feel so dumb but I'm sooo confused who the ML is and how he knows the FL and who was the guy who died, like…
Okay I read down and I guess her real BF ditched her to travel and had his friend (Seonu Chan) talk to her in his place in the chats. So the person she fell in lvoe with was Chan, or at least partly was him, I guess? I wish they'd have just shown that at the end of the first episode

I feel so dumb but I'm sooo confused who the ML is and how he knows the FL and who was the guy who died, like I'm just so lost after the first ep that I can't get into the drama because I don't even know what's going on and don't know if I should continue it. Like.. I don't know if the ML actually knew the FL or did he just meet her once in the past, it's just making it hard to connect to the characters

Title Reply 1997
How does it have this rating? Anything above 7.5 is exaggerated, even for standards of 2012.
Probably because people rated it on average 8.4 out of ten.

It's been too long since SIG graced our screens as a romantic lead. Gawd I actually still remember when he got cast in Reply 1997 and everyone said he was gonna be trash cause he was just an idol and then he blew everyone away.

I hate Netflix, they're ruining Kdramas like they ruined American series by starting this trend of fewer episodes…
I would agree if K drama writers could write a decent story that length. They're always so good for like 6 eps then fall apart and eps 7-11 drag, fall back on ridiculous tropes, reuse the same plot points over and over, and then sometimes stick the landing ep 12 and sometimes not. Better to just keep it short and high quality all the way through

I've been keeping my eye on this drama cause I wanted to binge it at the end, seeing it plummet in the rating is so unfortunate! Seemed like it had so much potential

I would guess the majority of people who hate love triangles actually hate love triangles that are thrown in lazily for fake drama, like where the second lead is clearly not even in the running yet keeps getting in the way cause the writer can't think of anything more creative.

If this show is actually about a woman who is drawn to two men for different reasons and throughout the drama grows by unpacking her attraction to them, it could be a dynamic that's interesting to explore. Ideally they all become friends and it's less about who she chooses and more about all their different interactions together.

That's a big "if" tho.

On To My Beloved Thief Feb 23, 2026
I liked the drama but too many characters were underutilized and too much of the plot was resolved before it got to go to the depths it could have. The set up, the overall plotlines, the backstories of the characters were so well drawn out, but the execution was shallow and disjointed. I enjoyed it well enough but it's not a drama I will be thinking about next week, and it dosen't stand with the greats of the sageuk genre.

I've been obsessed with this drama ever since they released the first trailer last year. I always try not to have…
Same tho. I've never watched a C drama live but I think I'll make this my first

Person Mun Ka Young
Someone cast her as a villian.. i have feeling she will serve with an exquisite platter of evilness.
She was soooo good in Tempted, she was an awful person yet I could not hate her and was riveted by her in every scene, the FL could not hold a candle to her. Exquisite is the right word. She is wasted on all these innocent, plucky, upbeat characters. I wish she had been cast as the lead in Dear X, she needs a role like that.
