Sina and Thi drunk scene had me rolling. Oppa! And typical drunk guy thinks he can pee anywhere bwahaha. Im gonna miss them,and Nuan too.

Just finished and it's one of the best dramas I've seen, and certainly the best Thai drama I've watched. Wish there was more to watch.

On ep 12 and loving this drama. Usually have to fast forward a lot through lakorn, as there is a lot of filler and screaming banshee second leads that are annoying,but I am loving every secoind so far. The leads are also hilarious together,and way too cute!

I think your reasoning is right. I had read in article online somewhere that there was a petition to stop rape in lakorns,so there must be enough people that agree this is problematic. I wonder about the impact on young girls and boys growing up seeing this,not that western tv is any better with all the sex and violence,drug and alcohol abuse. I do think it will be difficult to stop it,if it is something many want to keep watching.

This is actually what I find the hardest part to digest. The people who should be protecting her want to throw her at the guy who hurt her,whether she is married to him or not, and if she can't forgive him,she is just being "stubborn" and needs to get over it. They are clearly blind and deaf,because they dont see how much damage he caused her. He is willing to "take responsibility"(by owning her for the rest of her life) so clearly he is a catch. Where do i sign up to meet such a gem? @>@

Nevermind that there is always the second lead who gets friend-zoned, nice guy who cherishes her and would treat her well. Used to 2nd lead never getting the girl,but when your other choice is an abusive rapist...really?? There is only so much disbelief I can suspend.

Yes, his abuse was more verbal. Stuff like this I could never accept in real life,but within the scope of revenge lakorn,this is rather mild I guess.

I actually edited my comment above,because yeah it's not an easy watch at all. The cruelty of the male lead doesn't bother me maybe as much as it should, I may have become a bit desensitized :/

I would actually say the male lead was also bad guy,but not at the same level. Often you see in lakorn the bad guy doing the same thing as male lead,but his torture is an "act of love,while the bad guy's action is seen as criminal acts,or if raping the bad girl,he is meeting out a punishment of sort(because she deserves it??) Anyway it's better that rape/attempted rape was portrayed as a bad thing and he got no redemption.

As for the scene you are referring to between the lead characters,I don't know if I would call this rape. It would be coersion(which is also rape on my book) of he had followed through,but he wanted to back off while she chose to continue,and then he went along. This was an emotionally gripping and difficult scene to watch. They clearly cared for each other,but were bent on destroying each
other and themselves as well.

Certainly an emotional roller coaster of a drama. I actually came only for Yaya,but left a fan of Mark Prin as well. They had great chemistry,layered
characters and great acting,so that may explain why I could become invested in their story that I normally wouldn't buy otherwise.

Normalization of rape and other abuse is a big reason I don't watch a lot of lakorns. There are some good Thai drama out there,but I generally stay away from slap and kiss genre. I will never understand how love can come out of that,and I hate to hear close friends /relatives encouraging the girl to foegive him. I am all for forgiveness believe me, but since when does forgiveness equal marriage with psycho abusive person. Pretty sure forgiveness can be delivered to someone behind bars too,which is where Mr. Rapey belongs.

That being said,there have been a time a two I was pleasantly surprised by revenge type lakorn,and a few times I watched rom/com and shocked by a what the heck is this rape scene doing in here moment. It can be an odd feeling sometime watching lakorn. On the one hand you know what to expect,on the other you never know what youre gonna get XD

I've really like the ugly duckling series most out of what I've watched. Also Kleun Cheewit -would only recommend with reservations(guy was quite cruel to female lead)and anything with Nadech and Yaya. Those two are adorable. Currently working my way through cupid series,Leh Nangfah and Cheewit Puer Kah Huajai Puer Tur. So far so good.

One of the love stories ends in tragedy,I wasn't aware before I watched and wasn't quite prepared. I still enjoyed the movie. Gave it 8/10

This was touching,beautiful (both the story and visually) music was lovely and went well with the feel of the movie
