If this is based on the manga then no, in the manga we get the explanation for the Joker and it's not as you interpreted,…
Ohh okk. I wish they had put it in the drama to be clear, but I'm glad I know now. Thanks :)

Title Shut Up: Flower Boy Band Spoiler
I can relate. I also needed a break before I watched beyond that episode. I watched this drama back when it was…
I definitely want to, so thanks for the extra push! I hope I get brave enough soon. It was definitely a hard hit. Such a brutally unexpected death too, my goshhhhhhhh. I am literally tearing up just thinking of his smile. OH LORD. 😭

i'm pretty sure the meteorite WAS the real story and the borderlands was just the land between life and death…
That all makes sense! And honestly my questions would be cleared up automatically if this is the real end. It's the liminal wait between that makes there be any questions lol. I liked the ending too, if it is in fact the real ending.

Title Eternal Love
Love between fairy and devil is a nice drama that doesn't start with too much mumbo jumbo. But rather looks at…
I really like LBFAD! I agree with your assessment of it. It was really good and the special effects (that I can remember) didn't take me out of the story at all.

This is going to sound really rude but I genuinely do not mean to be, I just honestly am unsure and would like to know. Are the special effects supposed to look like so... bad and unrealistic? I've watched a few dramas such as this now and I've noticed they all have that in common. Is it a budget thing or is it part of the charm? No hate or anything, I do really enjoy the rest of it. I just find it can make it hard to take the plot seriously when I'm giggling at the monsters trying to eat the leads.

On Alice in Borderland Season 2 Feb 1, 2023
The joker card at the end means they are being fooled (like the whole meteorite story is just a trick and the hospital etc. is fake), right? Means that there is a joker they need to fight? Seems not to be an open ending but rather the indication that there will be a season 3.

This season (especially the last episode) really played with your mind. Gah. I wanna know what happened and what the fireworks actually were (if they weren't a meteorite). The car crash killing his two friends seemed way too real, as well. I really hope there's a season 3 to clear this all up.

I keep picking this up, and then end up dropping it. I really want to finish this, but I just can't seem to push…
I put it on in the background while I was doing other things on the same screen (glancing ever so often at it)and then around episode 17 I was more hooked. I still fast forward through the couples and plots I don't care for, but I'm now on ep 40 after 2 days lol. If you really want to watch it and haven't yet, that's what I would suggest. :)

I finished it! I stuck through and watched the remaining episodes and I'm actually really glad I did. Instead…
I do agree with the showing of healthy relationships!

There's a few off the top of my head that I'd recommend (Forever Love, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, and Accidentally In Love). I find they really stand out from the usual dramas. They have really healthy and secure relationships, although there *is* still some cliche drama in the surrounding cast and plots. But I still think they did a good job in showing what it's like to grow into a couple the right way like this one did... and there's a sense of security while you watch them. Also, while totally different, the main leads relationship in Sell Your Haunted House is the most healthy relationship I think I have ever seen... they way they grow to completely respect and think of one another is honestly so super beautiful. But it's not really romantic in the normal way--think more like friends who love each other, or even a blooming asexual relationship. Anyways, just thought I would try to give you some more healthier dramas since you said there should be more :)

I have nothing against this drama, but I keep putting it on hold. I'm trying to watch it again and I just am so…
I finished it! I stuck through and watched the remaining episodes and I'm actually really glad I did. Instead of leaving it off with a begrudging and negative feeling, I feel completely satisfied and even happy about watching this drama. The ending really made it worthwhile, so if you're like me and stuck on episode 10 give or take, imo it's worth sticking around to see the rest. There were so many sweet moments that I'm so glad I got to see (especially the last three episodes).

I'm giving it a 8/10, I can't overlook what I felt above, but it really was still a good drama that portrayed such sweet and healthy relationships. I loved that about the drama, how very healthy all the relationships were. (Although, I do love the dramatics of a toxic relationship hehe, maybe that's why I felt bored.)

I have nothing against this drama, but I keep putting it on hold. I'm trying to watch it again and I just am so bored (on episode 11 now). Like, the FL is adorable and fun to watch and the ML is cute in his own way as well, but man... I feel like I'm getting my teeth pulled trying to finish it. I don't know why. Maybe I'm just not invested enough in the leads as a couple. They just feel a bit boring together--which isn't to say they don't have chemistry (they certainly do during their skin contact scenes). Something fundamental (idk what) is just missing between them and I can feel the lacking of it while watching them.

After writing all this out, I think I might just keep it on hold forever lol

Is this like the drama 'Honey, don't run away' ? It sounds so much like it from the description.

This drama had me bawling my eyes out ngl, but it is one of my favorites!! Their story is beautiful
I NEVER cry but good gosh I was crying over every little thing in this drama. This makes you cry for so many reasons too--out of pity and sympathy, frustration and anger, heartbreak and sadness, and just that good old 'where is the freaking justice or mercy'. Seriously, ML's backstory still got me bawling my eyes out over here.

Title Honey
I was cringing too hard to even watch the screen. I'm usually a fan of J dramas and movies but I'm either in a bad mood today or this just wasn't hitting the same as the others. I just felt like everything moved way too fast and the reactions and emotions were way too big for that short of a timespan. Just was so overdone and overdramatic, I couldn't take it seriously and in doing so I found it really embarrassing to watch. But whatever, it's fine. Just not my cup of tea.

Just a guess, but I would assume it's because rural towns like her hometown normally have a strong patriarchy…
Eh well maybe she does wear them. And the skirts are normally longer anyways, so it's not as scandalous lol. My take is that it's a rural, patriarch-driven town and FL was probably an anomaly (seeing that all the other fighters were male 'brothers').

It was a ride, that's for sure. Not a structurally sound ride, but a ride nonetheless. It was bumpy, sometimes the belt securing the passenger to the seat felt as if it were about to break, the track seemed to be missing in certain areas, and the themes holding it all together seemed to be confused and change completely at random and without warning. So, all in all, it was a miracle it held up to the end.

The romance carried the show, the chemistry between the leads and how cute the characters all were, really were the saving grace (if there was a saving grace). But just like ML's hair, there seemed to be consistency flaws in the plot (from his hair changing to black to grey to green to blue depending on the factors surrounding him). Rules were made and broken and changed at random and you could never pinpoint the world building behind the scenes. Even after it is all done, I'm sitting here wondering what the point to it all was--the laws that seemed to be based on nothing more than a whim. If they were trying to go for vague godlike beings doing vague godlike things that make no sense to humans, then, hey, they did just that. But was it fun and entertaining and worth watching? Meh. As I said, the romance was what carried it all and for me, as a die-hard romance lover, I'm okay with it all and have made my peace. Whatever the writer was trying to convey in this story, I personally wasn't able to interpret it, but I still enjoyed watching it (although, it totally dragged after episode 10). Then again, they really threw in all the romance they could possibly think of, I mean what with the completely unrelated love story thrown in there lol. As a romance lover, how could I not appreciate the effort though?

Best advice I can give? Go in like you are the Kevin character. Use your own interpretation of whatever the heck is going on in the plot and just be happy you recognize love, family, and being together. Don't try to understand everything and get needlessly frustrated because all that's matters is whatever little you do understand. Lol. Kevin was arguably the best one in the drama.

Plot: 3.5/10
Romance: 9.5/10
My Compromise: 8/10

Well obviously like most things, it didn't age all too well in certain areas. However, if you can get passed some of those initial controversies that are common tropes from that era, I think it makes up for it in later episodes. It wasn't frustrating, like at all (imo). All misunderstandings, drama, and issues are solved pretty early on every time something pops up. And the relationships between all the characters are wonderful to watch (minus a certain middle-aged dude who attempted to groom our girl into his little bride... ew). There are many cute scenes between the leads (and other couples and friends) and I don't think anything was left unsolved by the end. I especially loved how the drama tackled all of MLs trauma, and how very therapeutic it all ended up being for him. ML definitely got the better end of the stick in everything, and everyone did everything to make him comfy--but honestly, at times he did sorta deserve it and I wasn't really mad (until the very end a bit). That's not to say that I don't think some things were wrapped up TOO easily, but hey, it's a drama and why not live in a fantasy world where everything works out like magic for a bit?

Overall I give it an 8.5/10--but that's going in knowing I'd be met with problematic tropes. Don't go in expecting a FL that breaks the glass ceiling. She is there to be the support ML needed to heal (because, you know, men obviously can't go to therapy and get a real therapist *roll eyes* women are expected to do everything *sigh*), but she isn't as horribly written as some dramas. She's very cute and knows exactly who she is and what she stands for; I don't think anyone could have the heart to hate her.

The ending for me soured the overall story a tiny bit. I just wasn't pleased with how easily everything seemed to be overlooked and the storyline itself seemed very unnecessary, if not just a last minute plot device that made a certain successor thing work itself out too easily. But in doing so, I think it hurt an overarching theme important to the leads. Not a fan of that. Still, it was cute and light and easy to watch. Turn your brain off for a bit and enjoy :)

Review Full House
Yes yes yes! Thank you for summing up my feelings perfectly. The first 15 episodes are the only ones worth watching. After that the writing turned all potential for character development into character assassination! Mike became such a coward and so dense!!!! Ughhhhh I loved it so much before and would have given it a 9, but after ep 15, I gave it a 7 (and that was only to be nice to the earlier episodes—they deserved so much more). But they really took all that potential and dumped it down the drain... *sigh*
