uh oh did he do something new (other than all the previous stuff he's said)?
again, i'd really like you ask you how you're just so damn sure youngkwang is this incredible, amazing, great person when you don't know him personally. you're saying he's a good person like it's a fact. how could you possibly know any more than what anybody else says about him online-good or bad? how can you tell a good person from a bad one online from your expert observations?

also can you please read my old comment before replying? you clearly missed most of it with me saying IT DOESN'T MATTER, STOP POLICING PEOPLE'S OPINIONS. WHAT I SAY OR WHAT YOU SAY OR WHAT ANYBODY SAYS DOESN'T AFFECT HIM AT ALL. HE'S STILL POPULAR AND I STILL WATCH HIS WORK. literally what more do you want from me? you want me to put him back on my favorites list and then you'll be satisfied? was i badmouthing him before this and spreading false news calling him sexist left and right? did i even say he 100% said those answers? did i send him death threats? no i did not. i'm not even convinced he actually said those things, but i'm still cautious in case he did, so why are you so damn pressed?

you're better off spending your time watching his videos and dramas instead of commenting these paragraphs saying it's pessimistic and wrong to feel uncomfortable about someone because it's hurting their reputation. not sure if you noticed, but if you don't like someone, then you won't care about their poor reputation. sorry to be blunt and rude, but just get over it. coming for someone like that will never ever change their mind, just as nobody can change yours. hope you actually read this one this time ugh. i sound like a broken record. didn't know you were youngkwang's bestie.

sometimes they don't really have a choice though because of addiction. i mean, coke is so addictive you can get…
how do you know if he sought out help or not though? maybe he could've tried and it didn't work or he's been in heavy denial that he's addicted, which happens often. based on his use of propofol, and ketamine, it could even be likely that he got addicted through prescription drugs and eventually moved to heavier stuff like coke from addiction to getting high. addiction through prescription is more common than people think, especially if they come to rely on those drugs for whatever purpose (for example using ketamine as an antidepressant).

drug addiction is life changing because it's one of the hardest things to stop. withdrawal is very real. people try drugs all the time even if they know it's unhealthy. human curiosity, belief that they won't get addicted if they only try once, and peer pressure (big factor) all contribute to initial drug usage. it's not always as simple as "just stop taking them" or "don't do it in the first place." celebrities like to fit in too. i imagine drugs are quite popular within the industry. weed may be illegal, but most places don't care if people use them. i wouldn't be surprised if that's where he started either since it's relatively harmless to your body.

i'm not saying that ahin should get a pass on illegal drug usage, but it's nice to be more understanding towards drug addicts, especially without any personal or second-hand experience. it's obvious he's insanely addicted and needs help more than blame or being banned.

After all twist and turn end, in the end of drama,They will cross path again in persent timeline,Then ML will…
i feel like there will be some twist that those weren't her real parents (so she'll still live by the end), or she was an accidental pregnancy and the marriage has nothing to do with it. it feels like they'll keep making it seem like she won't exist at the end, but then she will. i hope it isn't gonna be an open ending, but i feel like these types of shows usually have them

sometimes they don't really have a choice though because of addiction. i mean, coke is so addictive you can get addicted from the first use. and i'm sure there's a lot of peer pressure in the industry as well. sometimes it starts out as a crutch for temporary stress or depression or as a peer pressured first try, and then it quickly becomes an addiction that's hard to get out of. it's not always a selfish choice they make over and over again. driving while drunk or high IS a selfish choice, but drinking or taking drugs is not always.

You think it should be higher or lower?
unfortunately so true. i've seen too many hidden gems on here held back by like a freaking 7.4 rating or something. not even low 😭

yes i'm cautious with the possibility that he's a bad person because i don't want to support someone who is potentially is one. idk how i could be cautious with him being a good person? i am just as cautious with johnny depp and seon ho because none of us knows who these people are behind closed doors. it's very easy to fake personalities online. i'm sure you've even seen examples of this from characters in dramas. if youngkwang and the people around him know how he is, then that's great. unfortunately i and the rest of the internet do not have that luxury.

i'm not sure if you know what it's like to experience misogyny, but it is the most mentally draining aspects of life and it's everywhere for women. pretty sure anyone has the right to not support an actor because he makes them uncomfortable, false allegations or not. i've seen many videos of him. he used to be one of my favorite actors, after all. so i have one of the most unbiased opinions of him i can make. i'd also like to ask you to unbiasedly wonder how great of a person he is as well, without all the tv glamor and public personas. how could you possibly know whether he's being his genuine self or not?

i choose to be cautious about people i support and you choose to be trusting. not the end of the world for either of us. and in the end, it's not like either of our opinions about him matter. he's still getting jobs and still getting paid. he more than likely doesn't even know mdl exists so it's not really a big deal. people are always going to be talking about celebrities, good or bad, it's a part of their job. you don't really need to be policing others on what they think about a person, even if they "spread rumors" in some comment section off one corner of the internet. he's still popular and relevant so like...why does it matter? and still: my opinion on him doesn't affect you nor him. i literally still watch his work. this really isn't some war you need to fight.

whether he said it or not and how i personally feel about it doesn't affect you, nor does it even affect him. i still watch his stuff, he just can't go back onto my favorites list because of the possibility that he really DID say those things. if he really did say it 10 years ago, it's likely he'd be the same person today because people don't change their views and i know this from real people. if he really did say it, then he HAS done me wrong. i haven't slandered him or called him names. i don't know if he actually said anything or not. i can form my own opinion about him, just as you are able to. it's not illegal to feel cautious about someone with bad rumors.

I see what you mean~ esp if the korean production focuses on marketing the actors instead of their story. I remember…
i think kdramas excel in romance (ESPECIALLY COMPARED TO JDRAMAS OOF) and they have some good thrillers here and there. i'm not the biggest fan of signal or beyond evil 😭 but i think squid game and the glory were great. so it probably depends more on the director and team than anything. i personally don't like how much kdramas tend to focus on romance even in non-romance stories, but there's been less nowadays i think? also, kdramas tend to majorly slow down by the end. i absolutely LOVED the beginning of taxi driver, but was struggling to finish the last 4-5 eps for months. obviously depends on personal preference as well.

jdramas don't really excel in romance (kdramas) or thrillers (cdramas), they excel in slice of life by far. i def think they have the lowest quality cinematography, but i adore how strange and out-there they get with their content. i swear every jdrama description i read feels like the most original thing.

anyway, kinda long rant lol. all in all, i would enjoy seeing korean adaptation, just only if there was a japanese version first. idk it feels weird to me to have a korean ver of a manga? not sure how to explain it.

yes there's a happy ending, but this drama isn't really for everyone. it's fairly slow and frustrating at times (like they keep going back and forth with each other/some miscommunication after their breakup in the past). i personally loved it and thought they had great chemistry and it had a good ending, but obviously it's not for everyone.

Follow the Genres tag. The % given to a drama usually does NOT veer from the order in which they're presented.…
i have before, i'm personally not a fan because i loved the original too much so the remake doesn't feel the same

i think i would enjoy some korean adaptations of manga, esp some of the thrillers, but i also usually tend to find that korean dramas lack more in terms of storytelling. at least in my opinion. they do far better with characters than japan does (usually because of the series length), but then because of the series length the plot takes a hit.

compared to kdramas, jdramas def lack in visuals and cinematography. i never want to see another wig again. though, they have some kind of charm to them that hasn't really been captured by any other country. they just have such unique concepts every time. it'd feel a little odd to me for a korean studio to produce it esp if a japanese one hasn't yet. like taking straight from the source and not adapting off an adaptation.

that being said, i'd love to see death parade get a live action adaptation regardless of which country it comes from. such a great story and concept.
