idk much about this drama, but can anyone tell me dramas it has a similar vibe to? still debating if i should watch it cuz it doesn't seem like my type of drama
this was actually such a pleasant surprise, wholesome found family despite the dire situation. honestly, i would've even loved it to be a little longer to get a bit more character and relationship development + more into their backstories. i was so intrigued by these characters, but obviously the length prevents us from learning enough. overall though, really enjoyable watch

hmm i was pleasantly surprised. i thought it was good and this is coming from someone who watched both anime seasons, finished the manga, and watch the live action movie. i'm very familiar with this story and these characters and for the most part, i think they nailed it. i loved sawako, chizu, and yano in this. they may not be 100% accurate to the source material, but i don't need them to be. i think they did splendidly regardless.
shota, ryu, and kento though hmm. i think they were fine? they did well, but they weren't as interesting as the girls imo. in the manga i preferred watching ryu and shota, but here i preferred the girls. i wasn't a big fan of suzuki's version of kento tbh. he felt a bit...over-active? maybe because the story was so rushed, i feel like you easily could've excluded him and it wouldn't have made a big difference.
the pacing is okay. it's very very slow and yet also rushed at the same time because they put the ENTIRE story into this. there's certainly a lot of skipped sections, but without comparison i think they did a good job seamlessly fitting it into one show. the entire confession is just as frustrating to watch as it once was.
overall, i think it was a cute watch. i wasn't fawning over the couples or anything, but i had a good time watching. it was cute. it was pleasant. it definitely wasn't bad and i think they all did a good job with such a beloved story. nice to turn on and relax to. it's good, not great. 7/10.

there's some scenes of dead bodies and blood. it gets a bit creepier later on and includes a couple minor jump scares from what i remember, esp in the latter eps. there's some deaths as well, but they mainly die from endlessly vomiting water. nothing too gruesome or gory or anything, but i'd say some parts were creepy in an unknown-entity-in-a-dark-space-station-kind-of-way.
tbh though, it's pretty damn slow and tame until around ep 4 or 5.
just watched ep 1 and that's the biggest rollercoaster of emotions i've ever had from a single ep. the acting, the story, the pacing is absolutely superb. excited to binge the rest now.
honestly i think if dfqc wasn't the mc, then orchid and changheng would have SUCH a cute story. i rarely ever get sls and tbh i still ship dfqc with orchid anyway, but i can't deny i think they had a pretty strong premise. the forbidden love mixed with the hidden romantic gestures, secret crushes, and eventual realization they were destined for each other all along is TOO freaking adorable. although, that just makes me appreciate how much this story changed from that typical kind of historical romance. obviously that love story wasn't the point of the drama, i just wanted to temporarily gush over how cute they were. now back to dfqc.
