she's most likely focusing on her family atm. she just gave birth to her baby last year and the year before that she was pregnant. she prob won't come back for a little while longer.
when i started this, i didn't really understand all the heavy praise. people raved about it being different, but…
there were a few things i wished they changed though:
- i wish tinn got more character development as an individual than only as gun's lover. pretty much every scene he's in, it's FOR gun in some type of way. i would have liked to see him explore a little more into what he wants, what he dreams for, etc. we didn't get much of that at all so he doesn't feel like a complete character.
- definitely more winsound moments. i love how they got their own story about halfway through. i'm kinda a sucker for those side couples that don't start from the beginning and gradually develop over time. but i don't think they gave us enough moments. i thought they were adorable and then i'd think about their fight on the mountain and YIKES lmao. but what they gave us was definitely too cute,
- the whole tiwson and por hint thing felt strange to me. i wish they either went all into it or didn't hint at it at all. unless maybe they're trying to create a potential pairing in the future? i just thought it made it less believable? like the old bl cliche of having every single male character pair off with each other. it would've been fine if they were a couple or at least romantic interests, but they didn't so it felt out of place.
when i started this, i didn't really understand all the heavy praise. people raved about it being different, but it felt like a pretty typical high school bl. but after about 4-5 eps (particularly the tilly bird ep) i was like "okay now it makes sense." yes there's still quite a bit of cringe and comedic sound effects. at first it doesn't feel like anything different. however, i'd say this is a slow burn type of romance. it does take a bit of time to build up, but once they get there it is TOO sweet to handle. i couldn't stop awwing. not even just with the romance, also the friendships and motherhood.
it's a rewarding series. by the end i really felt like i went on a journey with them. i teared up too cuz i didn't want it to end or to say goodbye to them. i would definitely say that the highlight of this series is not with the plot at all. it's with the characters. the cute puppy love, the ride or die found family, the unconditional love from parents. it's just an overall feel-good watch. perfect for when you need a pick-me-up or even if you're in a drama slump.
i've always wanted to see tay play a cheerful non-moody character cuz he's so loud and upbeat irl. i feel like…
right??? i was surprised it was taynew doing this cuz they're...not exactly known for their cute fluff i'd say lol. i always associate them with moody melodrama so besides tay, i'm excited to see this new side of taynew.
can you people shut up with your fetishes, not every drama needs to be bl to be good
yeah agreed. well they both annoy me tbh LOL. i'm not really a fan of when some people bl-ify or het-ify everything. i think it's perfectly fine to ship if there's no romance in the actual thing, but it feels kind of strange to me to wish shows to be bl or het romance if they're not.
but i agree that some people take it way too far with their responses. i think it's because some fans are frustrated with the fans that romanticize gay relationships. i don't like that either and there are definitely a lot of fans that do do that. but for sure people get TOO intense about it. can't really change how they type online though. we all are anonymous too so that probably adds to it.
uh oh did he do something new (other than all the previous stuff he's said)?
i hope so too. i can still watch his stuff but it'd feel too uncomfortable for me to ever put him back in my favorites. on your wedding day is my comfort movie and his character do minik from secret secretary is my fave drama character ever so i feel kinda sad about the whole thing.
I’ve never seen Tay play a cheerful character who is head over heels in love - the characters I’ve seen him…
i've always wanted to see tay play a cheerful non-moody character cuz he's so loud and upbeat irl. i feel like he'll do well in this (and hopefully not go overboard). i wonder if he'll try channeling what machida keita did for kurosawa or if he'll put his own spin on it. i'm pretty excited to see this remake and with taynew too of all couples. they surprised me with that.
i'm such a simp for love and fourth so this is so perfect.
i'm kinda annoyed about the bl-fication of every show now though. not from the show itself but from the fans. how rare are well-budgeted gl shows that cast great actors? fans keep raving about gem4th and most milklove fans just came from bad buddy (a bl) anyway. i swear so many bl fans say they're fans cuz they "love gay representation" but only when it comes to cute guys, i guess. i wonder how many would watch this if gem4th wasn't the side couple 🤔
now i can't unsee it or watch it without thinking that.
