i still laugh every time i think about the final proposal scene. nothing screams "ROMANCE" like bringing your lover into the forest to run away from gunmen about to shoot ♡
it's truly amazing representation. vlad is one of a kind. but this isn't the show for you if you're looking for a cute bl fluff type of show. actually, it isn't even for you if you want to watch a bl. this is more so about what it's like being gay rather than the romantic side of being gay which is why it's so highly praised and set apart from other mlm shows.
it's very very slow and honestly quite confusing for most of the "episode," but the ending was great. it truly clicks everything into place and made the experience worth it (at least for me)
i watched this a while ago so i don't remember the story or all the supposed frustrating actions all the characters made. what i do remember was how cute the main couple was. the whole story and concept behind them was a bit urhughuh, but i think hyoseop and boyoung had SUCH cute chemistry. i remember full-on fangirl shrieking at some of their scenes lol
a lot of people might not find the comedy funny because it's very slapstick and overdone, but the story, the fights, and the lovable characters make this show so addicting. even though i stopped laughing by ep 3, i physically couldn't stop going to the next episode. it's a great show if you can tolerate the over-the-topness LOL
this was so heartwarming, funny, touching, and exciting. i adore the concept so much and despite some dodgy cgi/practical effects here and there (don't get me started on ep 1's cat omg), most of it felt believable. the way transformers had different "powers" depending on their species was so fun. i actually wanted MORE episodes by the time i reached the end. it honestly needs more. it was fairly lighthearted with some deep topics. i'm gonna miss these characters so much :((
The thing is, in the novel we can read BLY's point of view, and he does want to have sex with GH. The problem…
well i kind of commented a really long response, but i decided to delete it because i don't want this to turn into some big argument. neither of us would change our minds anyway so it'd be entirely fruitless and we'd just get frustrated at each other lol. i mean, i'll never understand how anyone could like any of the characters you mentioned, but that's just me and everyone has different opinions and values. i'm not here on mdl to fight or anything, just to track dramas haha. i wish you well :))

i mean i don't disagree with you either, i did watch the whole thing and enjoyed the show itself, but it feels weird to me to see so many people defending him as a "toxic flawed character" when he toes more towards the line of a r**ist than a messed up person. he kinda literally kidnapped BLY and tied him up LOL. just from what i've seen, it seems like people are only really defensive of it because it's gay. i feel like it was a m/w or if GH wasn't good-looking, reactions would be different.
i'm not too sure about padme/anakin and ezra/aria cuz i haven't watched star wars and PLL, but out of the examples i don't recall them ever kidnapping them, tying them up, forcing themselves on the other, etc. T^T i think there's a pretty big difference between toxic and illegal.
i'm also not saying shows shouldn't include these types of characters because obviously everyone has flaws and isn't perfect, but i am saying they shouldn't really be romanticized to be an ideal type of person/lover/partner, esp if they're practically r**ists like GH. just in my opinion T^T
the eps leading up to ep 24 were so so slow, but i thought that post-ep 24 was super cute. all the romance bits were really nice, the business stuff not as much lol. definitely refreshing to see the role reversal and the healthy relationship dynamic (although not so great actions here and there). probably could've done with less eps esp the middle ones. still entertaining though
what makes this series great isn't the series itself, rather your interpretation of it and the characters after you finish. with a seemingly okay ending, once you start thinking back on the events that unfolded, that's when you realize how incredible the show is. it's truly up to you and your mindset on how the series actually ended.
i love how they represented so many different types of familial relationships in the same residency. it was so heartwarming to see such different people with different stories begin to get along and understand one another after taking the time to learn about each other. i grew to love every character for their individual flaws. daiki and nana are honestly one of my dream ships because wow they were such an incredible couple, portrayed so perfectly by kenichi and kyoko. i wasn't thrilled about the ending, but i also really appreciate it at the same time. loved it!!!
