the ending was definitely not as bad as other kdramas i've seen. yeah it didn't feel complete, but it's wayyyyyy better than having some bad/sad/lame ending.
but what ever happened to sunghoon's proposal? did she just not accept or something? lol
I was just thinking the same…..how exactly and why is he a top Hallyu star when he’s really hasn’t done…
i do love him a lot, but wow. when you think of him you'd only really think of iotnbo, my love from another star, moon embracing, and maybe dream high and secretly greatly. and while the first three are no doubt huge dramas, it's strange to think that those three alone are able to make him the highest paid korean actor compared to countless other popular actors with subjectively more impressive resumés.
Not only would it have broken and stopped the time-loop , but even collapsed the entire Timeline of the plane…
omg thank you so much for your in-depth response. i think i understand it again? everything is ringing a bell LOL, but wow time travel is so freaking complicated.
but let's say LZW in 2019 was just like "no i don't want to get on the plane, i just want to go live with HYX" and then continued in the 2019 timeline. i know this would prevent the time loop from happening again where he goes back into his original 2008 body and it would prevent ever saving MJJ or CYR, but would it technically be possible? wouldn't HYX just remain in her own body and LZW remain in WQS's body in 2019? (just a hypothetical question)
what would've happened if younger LZW didn't get on the plane though? i know it would've broken the time loop, but what negative repercussions would it have had? it's not like LZW knew HYX was going to be able to save CYR so why didn't he ever just refuse to get on? (it's been a while since i watched so i'm trying to remember what happened and why)
This description is confusing. Much romance, happy ending?
a good amount of cute romance and a bittersweet ending. it's not exactly happy, but there's a little bit of hope in the last few mins. i'd say that despite the ending, the main couple are worth it though
i'm a little surprised they went with AHS. i love him to death, but i've never seen him in as playful of a role as LZW, though i'm sure he can pull it off. now i'm wondering if they're gonna tone down the korean ml now and go with a more melo direction or if they're gonna crank up the comedy to be more like a romcom
it's crazy how he's one of the most popular actors (a household name) and the #1 on the flower leaderboards since it even came to exist, despite only having like 6-7 significant roles
To be honest, i think that's more on their culture. I asked my teacher from China once about it, when we visited…
of course there are rehearsals, but they still take multiple takes as with any other film set. they'd rather film more takes than needed to be able to use for editing. there's nothing worse than editing with too little footage.
food can sit out for a long time on set and not necessarily taste the best. imagine they have to eat a whole plate of old, cold food for a scene and then they take 3 more takes. that's too much. sometimes food isn't even real either, made purposefully for the camera to look pretty. eating food also has the potential to ruin makeup and such. what if they ate noodles and dropped it on their costume/outfit? BIG PROBLEM. it's just not worth it sometimes when they can fake eat.
although i find it funny when they order a whole buffet worth of food and take two bites then leave the rest LOL

well that's when you just leave a little as a sign of respect for the chef. cdramas don't usually make them eat food because they have to take many, many takes so they'd either have to refill the food a lot or the actor would get too full. based on the time they take to film, a lot of it probably gets cold and goes bad too, hence why they typically spit it out behind the scenes.
it was an entertaining, very twisted, and messed up story that is honestly quite toxic but gripping nevertheless. i did enjoy it, but i think i would've been able to rate it higher had it been only a little longer. i don't think we got enough of who nana was as well as her neighbor. while i'm sure it was supposed to be left ambiguous, i'd probably enjoyed it more had they dove ever so slightly deeper. twas vv good though
the diversity of his roles is actually crazy. how can he go from a perfect charming boyfriend in one, to an abusive psychopath in another, to a mafia member, to a happy snarky chef, and to a charming detective??? he isn't just a pretty face either, he certainly has the skills to back it up (at least in my opinion). i've loved every one of his roles i've seen so far. he's definitely been shooting up the ranks recently.
