i don't understand why people hate NJ. never seen a straight forward girl like her. doesn't make things complicated.…
she's one of my fave sfmls i've ever seen. she's honest, but she's not selfish. she's extremely kind and genuinely wants the best for others. despite her occasional arrogance lol, i love how aware she is of other's feelings. i adore her tbh
I have been suffering from all those tragic romance dramas for the past few months, I just saw some clips from…
it isn't really lovey dovey at all. it's less cute and more realistic + a bit angsty. there are some cute moments and flashbacks sprinkled throughout, but most of it is the awkwardness, anger, and uncertainty reuniting with your ex after a bad breakup. i would highly recommend it if you're a character kind of watcher or if you love more realistic romances. just don't go in expecting an adorable happy romcom. it's more calm and soothing (slow burn-ish but doesn't feel slow at all imo)
A full 16 ep season would have helped so much. It was hard to connect to characters that I knew little to nothing…
yes exactly!!! there were so many times when i had to pause and see if i even recognized the person getting killed. i couldn't tell you for the life of me who the guy that was shot and put in the fridge was. i can't remember a single thing he did tbh. and even with the main characters, they had nothing to make you want to care about them (except ig captain and his daughter???). not to mention the very very large open threads surrounding luna, the government connection, the traitors, and the aftermath. love the concept, but not enough in execution
Totally agree! Seems like Netflix has been trying to westernize Korean dramas for a broader audience, making them…
i feel like it's more so the fact that netflix only puts out 8 eps so most of their shows don't have enough runtime to fully flesh out their characters before the story. but then again, idk which older korean netflix series were better than the ones now, according to the original commenter.
i honestly thought eps 2-3 were incredibly slow, with eps 1, 4-8 being insanely thrilling. however, and i normally never say this, i actually think this show would've benefitted SO much more with 16 eps (at least more than 8). there's simply too much to unpack and explain for just 8 45min eps. the least they could do was 1hr eps. although i suppose that would only make the eps feel ever slower :///
i personally really enjoyed it, but i think you have to turn your brain off to watch lol (or you're a big jdrama fan). it has absurd humor with pretty mediocre romance and fine plot. mostly worth it for the comedy and death prince. not worth it if you're expecting a good couple. subjectively a 9, objectively maybe a 6.5 or 7? it starts picking up more after ep 3 or so
definitely not perfect, but quite intense and filled with intriguing moral ambiguity. you should honestly just watch it for kim hye yoon alone, she played a FANTASTIC k
lol, i love how loyal santa is with kyung yi. edit : I KNEW THAT SANTA IS NOT MUTE- i got the instinct, but since…
i mean, he IS mute, just selectively mute. most mute people are physically able to speak and are comfortable doing so in certain situations (like only with friends or only at home). for santa's case, he's only comfortable speaking when he's alone
high hopes, but SO FREAKING FRUSTRATING. the amount of "near-saves" was just comedic tbh. the decision-making was promising at the beginning, but quickly degenerated by the end rip
i was still fine and dandy with mujin despite knowing what he did to jiwoo (cuz at least he had a reason to kill her dad), but when he killed pildo with the way and timing, HE SERIOUSLY CROSSED THE LINE
i know you made this review 10 months ago, but i agree with literally everything you said here. i prob had even MORE cons that you did lmao. some of the others in the comments just seem salty there's a lower score than 8 T^T
i personally think the story is a HUGE mess with WAY WAY too many characters and sub plots (think murder mystery, bullies, cult, serial killer, zombies, etc). that being said, the drama itself is quite a fun and intense survival horror. you sorta just need to watch it with your brain turned off and low expectations
definitely the produce 101 series if you haven't watched them yet. for korean it starts with produce 101 (ioi),…
i don't think there are any where there are both guys and girls are literally in the same groups, mostly just stuff like mixnine or the unit where there are both guys and girls but not necessarily together. bands also don't get much attention, though there's the show called superband with really incredible bands that compete (only guys).
i think most of the time guys and girls don't mix because they're very very different within the industry. there aren't many co-ed groups that i can think of, mostly because fans get upset when they see their fave guy with a girl or their fave girl with a guy, etc. so they're usually separated by bg or gg :((
coming back to say aib is a plot-driven drama and squid game is a character-driven drama. no need to fight and argue over which is better than the other when they're literally INCOMPARABLE. idk why some of you guys take it so seriously anyway as if saying one is better than the other will change someone's mind lol. just say which you prefer and move on T^T
IT'S CHOI MIN SHIK ON DISNEY+ LMFAO
