Still can't form a coherent thought, the episode slayed me in every possible way, i'm dropping here to say that everyone's acting was on point and that i actually never seen such a well-balanced (skills-wise) cast in a thai drama and that pool scene, omg it was BEAUTIFULLY shot, but i'm not surprised since the nc scenes in this series are pure art, like could be put in a museum kind of art <3

I agree and like i said I'm glad he apologized and in no way i was trying to justify what he said, I'm a woman myself i understand the stigma and I'm fully aware that this kind of behavior only reinforce that. Maybe it's the way i worded it but my point was more about the attitude of some people, the normalization of digging up dirt on x individual (and you can tell that the intent is never a pure one, let's be real) and hold that dirt over their head for the rest of their lives, then proceed to rightfully ask for an apology only to doubt the sincerity of that. This is a behavior that it's just toxic to me.

Yeah the response was mostly positive but there are still people in the qrts being little b*tch about it and i just know that they'll only grow in numbers because people thrive off hating others...

So is this who we are? Is this what society has come to? Digging up problematic things people have done or said almost a decade ago asking for an apology and then dismissing said apology because you didn't like how they addressed it or you don't believe in their change when everything they did up till now never made you question that person? I'm really pissed, i'm not defending the problematic behaviors in question but this holding past, like decade-old, mistakes over the head of people need to go. I'm glad that build apologized but i almost hoped he didn't..

New episode, new shitpost:
-the Evan introduction got me rolling on the floor, like what was that?? the editing reminds me of those low budget indian series, and while i do enjoy some dramatic effects here and there, the editor got carried away, or maybe they were drunk out off their mind on the job, there's always that lol
-Oh lord, the conversations are so cringe (they're going verbatim from the book so i expected that but still, the scriptwriter was found dead along with the acting coach), and they are also so random and short at that (two sentences and they are done, next scene action!): man A calls man B to tell him something that he could have easily messaged him. yes, i'm nitpicking because it's hilarious. And since we are on the topic, the goddamn monologues, these people can't keep a thought in their head and it's kinda worrying.
- The chemistry is still dead as my first pet and i probably had more chemistry with it than kim and kamol lol Jokes aside, still waiting for some sparkle because two episodes i can take it, an entire series with not even the least amount of chemistry, that's gonna be tough but i'm doing it for the humor so i guess it's not that important
- When kamol entered kim's home univited i wanted to smack kim so bad, like someone entered your home, hello? where's the anger? where's the screaming? wake up kim, i know you're not the brightest crayon in the box but maybe call the police? do something? Novel kim would be so disappointed in you, at least he was freaked out, series kim is just a confused bambi all the time, cute but he's so triggering my anger lol No because is it that normal in thailand to trespass into you're one-night-stand home? just asking
- Another week and there's i still complain about the damn colors, srs it's so depressing, their skin is grey, they look like living corpses, add some colors or balance that out pls i can't take it anymore :(
-If someone jumps on my bed with shoes on i would murder that bitch so kamol you're on sight from now on, i don't trust people who don't take off their shoes when entering the house.
-Onto khom and baiboon... okay so i'm a little confused, did they age up their characters? I really hope so because in the novel their relationship was all about ped*philic tendencies and grooming on khom's part and i i'm not here for that (baiboon was 15 acting like 10 and khom was 30 or more acting like his biological dad). So please somebody tells me that they at least did that, the drama has already a lot of problems it doesn't need another.
-The mafia scenes, the ones i expected to be the cherry on top of this trash pile, are actually almost solid for the quality we've been served. And since we're talking about cherry, to me she's the real MVP of this series, the queen, the villain i want and crave. I don't know if she's supposed to be the villain or whatever, but she's the best, she's good and entertaining, her scenes are the best and tbh she has more chemistry with kamol than kim. The girlies are taking over this bl and i'm not mad about it, look at the banter/catfight at the clinic scene, that was probably more bdsm and tension-filled than the nc scene of episode 1. Go girls, let's carry this show!
- The sex scene while kim was crying in the background omg poetic cinema. The boy does not know how to cry and they keep giving him crying scenes, y'all must be evil also two episodes and he already gave birth to a river, by the last episode we'll swim in an ocean, pls someone turn off his faucets.
- The korea trip was the most pointless scene i've ever seen in a drama, not to mention also the quickest trip in history, i know that thailand and korea are not that far away but still..
-Now onto the acting: Yoon kinda "improved" his facial expressions(?), don't get me wrong i still think that he's not the pushing 40 y.o daddy mafia we all expected him to be, but at least he toned it down with some of the ridiculousness that we've seen in the first episode *war flashback of him whipping kim*. And while i still don't think he's suited for the role i really like his voice, that is the most suitable thing he has as a mafia boss.
Ton, on the other hand, is still as robotic as ever, like you can tell that he's trying to do something with his face but the tone is so flat and doesn't match with the emotions that he's trying so act. Again, waiting for the improvement that we'll never have lol

Overall this is 100% trash, and unlike checkout (yes i'm throwing shade i don't care) it's good trash. I know that i just finished shitting on everything that was this episode but i'm starting to really like this, it's unintentionally hilarious and since i'm going through some tough times it's exactly what i need! Can't wait for next episode <3

So... people are predicting the kp fallout/breakup because yk it's episode 13 and apparently there needs to be a breakup (fuck the episode 11 curse, i thought we were past that) but to me it doesn't make any sense, not after their "confession" scene, not after porsche's promise to not let go of kinn's hand. In short, a breakup would be utter nonsense. What i think will happen is that we're going to have a bit of misunderstanding before the big reveal and some pondering on porsche's side but everything that might happen between them will be resolved within the episode. But yeah this is just to say that i would be very disappointed if they're going to give us the cliché breakup after all that growth they have gone through, not to mention after all that solid trust they're slowly starting to build, a breakup would make all these 12 episodes pointless and kinda ruin this couple for me.

If it's true, and i pray it's not, this is kinda sad and gotta be one of the the cheapest strategy i've seen to gain attention...

To be fair, most people commenting here have no actual problem with the trashy or messy plot, we were absolutely aware of the cheating mess this was going to be and we expected that, we expected all that toxic, exciting, and entertaining time this series promised to its viewers. The real problem and, i would argue this is where the disappointment comes from, is the execution and delivery of this mess of a story: the acting is kinda off (where the hell is that good chemistry they had in episode 0?), the pacing is too slow, making even a promising plot boring, and the editing is a mess, these for me are three fundamental elements that were presented to us as decent and promising in the special episode, setting the expectations very high, expectations that like you can tell were well-warranted. But then the expectations were not met, causing a general disappointment. And btw i'm not saying that some people don't have a problem with the cheating plot, but they are a minority, keep scrolling down and you'll see how most comments are about the show being boring which has nothing to do with the plot ^^'

I don't understand how we've gone from "porschay must be protected at all cost" to "let's push him under the bus because he's actually acting like the teen that he is". And yes, he is a teenager in my eyes and in the eyes of the oxford dictionary, he might be legally an "adult" in some countries but you can't tell me that a freshly out of high school who has almost no life experiences if not traumas is an adult. He's not a child obvs but to call him an adult, like i've seen someone in yesterday's battlefield, is simply not true. You don't magically become a mature or an adult just because you hit 18 and you're no longer a minor. Sorry for the rant i went off topic ^^' But yeah, fictional or not, we need more porchay defenders they keep getting fewer and fewer these days and it's sad.

We didn't directly witness to it but the psychological repercussions were hinted and not even subtly which is what brings me to this rant, people reducing all of what is happening to chay as to just "because of a man" kind of thing speaks volume on the lack of understanding of this character.

"Fiction always had a huge impact on real life" This is just my take, no need to agree, but as i see it fiction has the POTENTIAL to affect reality and that potential comes from not having clear the difference between fiction and reality and letting the clear lines separating them getting blurred. Great example is thinking that just by liking and rooting for vegas we are supporting such behaviors in real life which to me is not the case.

To the people calling porschay dramatic, dumb, childish, cringe? Are y'all okay? No fr, if you can't be dramatic, dumb, childish or cringe at that age, when is the most appropriate time? at 30? Also, not to sound rude but why the heck after every episode you decide to completely erase from your brains everything that happened in the previous ones? My boy chay has gone through so much, probably the most out of all these people with the least amount of support, something that is fundamental when dealing with shit, especially at that critical age (and that is why teenagers that don't have that, they usually go astray), just to name the few traumatic moments showed to us: his brother left him and lied to him, he was kidnapped in his own house, and not just the person he loved and trusted, but his idol, the reason behind his dream used him just to abandon him without any explanation whatsoever??? The rebellious phase he is going through at the moment, it's not just because of a "man" (kim just happened to be the last straw). Porschay is lost, he feels lost and you can see that even before the whole heartbreak ordeal and it's mind-boggling that people can't see or what to see that. The most recent giveaway was the pool's coversation, when even after all the reassurances you can still see how uneasy he felt, those abandonment issues are peaking through for sure. Also, i honestly don't understand the anger of certain novel readers directed at boc for making chay "spineless" or "wimpy" (yes these are words that were actually used to describe him) when first, we didn't know much about chay since the very beginning, literally, there is no story or description of him just few convos. Tv series porschay is just a normal teen going through some tough times and trying to cope with a shitty life by doing shitty/cringey things and making dumb choices which is what a failed support system pushes you to do, trust me, been there, done that. So i'm sorry if the "badass porschay" you had in mind was not the one we are seeing and that boc made him more relatable and human-like. Yes, i'm ticked off by the porschay slander and the lack of korn's slander who is the cause of everything that is happening right now and will happen in the future so let's direct the slander to the ones deserving :)

And to all the people saying "he's just a fictional character no need to write paragraphs to defend him" shut up pls, this is my time and i do what i want and if want i want to do is write essays to defend a fictional character then so be it, y'all can keep scrolling <3

It's iqiyi, that platform likes to censor curse words, and not just that, overall, the subs are a mess, they should just hire better translators atp especially because people are paying for it, the least they could do is provide good subs

I wanted to give this a fair chance but i feel like i can't, not when i literally fell asleep while watching last episode... I don't know if i should drop it or just wait for it to end to binge-watch it (which could become a kind of mission impossible as i can't even stand one episode per week). Well i guess i'll come here from time to time to see if something changed or will be a snoozefest till the end l lol

i'm not one to cry but when vegas slapped himself that shit made me burst into tears like a newborn baby, i felt every ounce of his self-hatred :(

So, i'm back again with my weekly rant because the backhanded comments and toxicity i've seen after this episode (mostly on twt.com, what's new lol) bothered me a lot and i need to vent it out so skip it if you're not interested in seeing me bitching about the absurdity of the kp fandom .

Like every damn week after watching the episode and going through some of the comments, i keep getting more and more confused about the expectations some y'all have for this series. First of all, i want to remind everyone that not everything is a plot hole (not saying that there's none, there are but atp y'all are just misusing and overusing this term) or bad direction/editing, etc.. just because you don't like or get it, it doesn't mean that it's done wrong, there's a thing called preferences (ex: a lot of people don't like the abrupt transitions from one mood/tone to another which is perfectly fine but it is a stylistic decision, one that unlike most people i quite enjoy). Also, before calling something a plot hole ask yourself these questions: is it a plot hole or did i not pay enough attention to the conversations happening on the screen? is it a plot hole or maybe i don't have the ability to read between the lines since most characters like to show their reasoning through actions and subtleness? which is the specialty of this show lol. Having said that, about the episode: what exactly did you want from it? because this episode literally served everything y'all possibly needed and asked for (overload of emotions? too much stuff in one episode? maybe), we have angst, tenderness, brotherly love, sadness, more plot than in the past 2 episodes, very small use of humor (which y'all should be happy as it's one of things intls viewers dislike the most lol), the return of time and tay, vegaspete's development, etc...
And since we're talking about vegaspete i'm going to say my two cents. Don't get me wrong, i get the disappointment of some novel readers about the changes and all that jazz but just because the source material is the novel (which is a totally different media that since the very beginning set the expectations further from those set by the novel with its many changes) it's not fair to judge the series based on that and the expectation you had of that, rather than the ones set by the series itself which to me have been fulfilled. I'll never get tired of repeating this, it's dumb to get disappointed by the expectations that y'all yourselves have set up, and again i'm not saying this to stop criticism because criticism keeps the industry improving but shitting and being downright disrespectful to the actors just because they did not follow the novel, did not show these or those scenes, did not do this how you wanted to and liked to, it's a bit dumb and pointless to me. Now, this is just my opinion but as a "fan" of the novel, i really liked vegaspete, i always found them an interesting couple but unlike kinnporsche, the way they developed their story in the novel made me unable to have a deep emotional connection to them, something that the series did right for me. We are not in pete's mind but we can understand why he's acting like that, we get his inner turmoil without him having to spell it out to us, we're not in vegas' mind but we see what kind of broken individual he is, which to me is not something easy to do, because like i said the novel and series are two different media and conveying a story that complicated through a show is not the easiest and this is why i believe that boc did the best they could for vegaspete (obvs there was some room for improvement for me but i get it). Oh and about the nc scene, this might be unpopular as a lot of people expected more from it but to me it was perfect, i'm a whore for the way they shoot love scenes in this series, the angles are so artistic, they made the scene so much more dynamic.
The last thing i want to touch upon is this dumb vegaspete vs kinnporsche fight. There is absolutely no need to compare as they are different in every possible way, there's no better couple as some are saying. Sure, you can have preferences, but there's no need to put down one couple and their characters /story to uplift your fav, because at the end of the day it's all up to individual likings. You like kinnporsche? Cool. You like vegaspete? Cool. Are you like me and you like both kinnporsche and vegaspete equally? then you're winning just like me bestie <3
