Build said Kinn slaps Pete I'm leaning towards that it's the price to being able to leave the main family alive…
I might be wrong but i believe build was talking about one of the workshops where they all tried different roles and scenarios, for instance i remember this vid where time, tay, porschay and khun where sitting on chairs acting as if they were in a car, i don't think that a scene like that it's actually part of the script so that might be just practice. Obvs this is my interpretation and i want to believe it because kinn slapping pete doesn't make much sense ^^'
First episode's shitpost incoming, read at your own risk lol
-The introduction of the characters was very meh and kinda trash, especially kim's. I don't want to be one of those "but in the novel" people, but at least in the novel he was presented as this hardworking guy who kinda had his sh*t together and just happened to be heartbroken. On the other hand, here kim's character is presented to us as a pathetic loser who spies on his crush while getting drunk because he can't accept that he already has a lover... is this who we are? is this who we represent, kim? seriously? - Everything is so random: the random way the scenes are put together, the random slow-mo moments, the random (bad) music played every 10 seconds (i know that thai's editors are in love with putting music and sounds effects at every given chance but this is another level, not one-second of silence lol) -The acting is not that bad, the only bad actor i would argue is kim's who can't act for sh*t which i believe might become a problem because he's the protagonist :( But tbh overall i expected much worse acting so if below-mid average is what we're going to get, i'll take it! The one i'm most impressed is definitely Yoon (kamol), he has this baby face i can't get over but his acting as a mafia boss is not that bad, very stereotypical but not bad. - That long-ass whip. Yeah let's not talk about it lol - Why are the damn colors so dead and toned down? It makes the quality lower than it actually is. I don't know, i supposed they were going for sultry/mysterious vibes but what is giving is funeral and depression. - Sammy is a queen and she'll forever be one, she's always the one that lights things up and i'm in love with her, i might continue this just for her (Sammy if you're reading thing marry me pls <3) - Is our boy kim an ugly crier or he just can't act? I'm going for the latter. - I guess the mafia aspect, for now, it's okayish, better than everything else we were given. - The chemistry between kamol and kim is not there at all, sure they are visually pleasing but i don't see or feel the spark, bummer - Omg the bathroom's talk while the water was running, the only thing in my mind was: "close the damn faucet!!" No fr i was actually getting mad lol - Onto the bed scene: every reaction of kim is so exaggerated that i can't, and don't let me start with the sounds he makes, a bit of wax and he already reached nirvana, like baby it doesn't work like that. And the kissing, oh lord, that kiss is what i imagine it would be like to kiss the floor, like kim c'mon put a little bit of work, it was you who asked to be with him, be more proactive we are in a "bdsm" drama. -The return of the whip part. 2 because you know what? let's talk about it. What was that whipping supposed to be giving? Pain? Not to sound mean but being scratched by a kitten would hurt more and leave more wounds than being caressed by that fringed ugly thing.
Yeah i'll end it here with my final thoughts: it was trashy, awkward and not even entertaining which is what i hoped it to be so, for now, it's a big no but i'll tune in because i like to hurt myself and because i believe that it could become interesting. Jokes aside, the only real downside of it all for me is kim's acting, like kim bby i beg you, stop sounding and moving like a robot. I can handle the cheapness and tackiness of it all, i love trashy drama but bad acting from one of the protagonists, that is where i draw the line. Btw these are just opinions, not objective facts, so if you want to get mad go argue with the wall :)
guys, is anyone watching love mechanics? is it good?
Define good lol I've watched the first 2 episodes and i was pleasantly surprised, the cinematography is good, the acting improved (especially yin) and it's entertaining so for now i'll recommend it :)
why are thai mcs so inappropriate and shallow? I don't want to generalize because i know that there are some great hosts out there and ofc this type of people are not exclusive to the thai's industry but yk i can't help but notice that they are a majority not to mention they receive the least amount of backlash for their unprofessional behavior which hints that it's probably a cultural problem (?) I don't know, this is just ranting for the sake of it, they obvs will not stop just because a bunch of international fans are pissed but seeing the cast, and not just them, so uncomfortable kinda hurts. They put so much effort just to be asked about nc scenes and the most superficial question ever that you could probably know the answer by just a google search...
Lmaoo I thought it was something mandatory but ig not Most don't put emphasis on it because it entails additional…
Honestly, i would prefer they invest more in the acting and less in other things such as locations, props, etc... Because at the end of the day it is the actors who sell the story not the decorations around them. Also, money is no longer an excuse when 4 dollars budgets masterpieces like "blueming" exist, it's just being lazy and cash-grabbing ahah
"But you not liking them doesn't make their scenes "unnecessary" or "boring" or "not important" to the story....Its…
Yes, and what irks me the most is that they make it sound like some "fair" critique when it's just their personal dislike. Not everything is bad writing or plot holes when preferences are a thing lol
https://twitter.com/urmysuninnight/status/1538796780561010688 So, is this the reason why a lot of bls suck? Actors don't rehearse before shooting? I'm honestly shocked, call me dumb but at least i thought that there was some kind of effort put behind these projects... Well now a lot things make sense lol
I just finna rant a little so yeah Why are we having this KP Vs VP thing......I thought we were all collectively…
"But you not liking them doesn't make their scenes "unnecessary" or "boring" or "not important" to the story....Its a YOU problem" LOUDER!! I keep seeing people calling kinn and porsche scenes fillers (same thing that happened with episode 8) not understanding or maybe not wanting to understand that they are very much important to the development of their relationship which is the main focus of this whole series, without them there would be no vegaspete, no kimchay, no kpts. And for the rest of the comment, i agree, people are so stupid, sure you can have your likes and dislikes about certain characters or couples but they are still part of the same show, plus there's no competition at the end they're all going to become one big "happy" family lol
I had 0 expectations for this as i wasn't the biggest fan of their en of love's installment (which was arguably the best of the 3 and that says a lot) but i was pleasantly surprised, yin's acting really improved and the cinematography is kinda nice. It's not the best bl i've ever seen but it's messy, it's a bit toxic, so far the pacing is good and the acting is not overly cringey and that to me it's enough to make it enjoyable lol
okay but can we all agree that pete and vegas conversation is going down as one of the best scenes in the series? Like it's been hours and yet vegas' face after the slow realization that he might not be the sh*tty son that his father convinced him he was, still haunts me.
Exactly, i feel there are lot of people who are hating on vegas pete and claiming their relationship as abuse…
I believe t's too soon to see their relationship as one that falls under the bdsm umbrella (but they're probably going to develop this aspect in the next episode which i'm very excited about). However, besides the nature of their relationship, people need to realize and keep in mind from this moment onwards that pete does not have the same moral compass that the viewer posses, therefore to judge him based on that, not even trying to understand his character, is kinda unfair to me. But yeah i agree, their relationship will not be everyone's cup of tea, especially those who had a problem with episode 4 ending scene, which is okay and also why the skip button exists lol
I'm just going to say two things about this episode because it's what i've seen being discussed the most so i also want to give my two cents that no one asked for ^^
- For it to be a "victim falls for his abuser" trope there needs to be a victim and pete is not one. Sure, at a surface level he might seem like a victim as he's being held hostage against his will while being tortured by vegas HOWEVER taking things at face value is not what we do in this household. Pete does not act like a victim, he does not think of himself as one and doesn't let himself be one and i feel that build's portrayal of pete made that clear. How you see yourself influences how others are going to see you and this is why when i look at pete i don't see this vulnerable abused victim at the mercy of vegas, on the contrary, to me it seems the one at the mercy of the other is vegas. Labeling their relationship as simply one of victim-abuser is oversimplifying all the nuances and the complex layers of the human being that they are presenting to us. This is obvs just my personal interpretation which could be totally a bunch of bull but it's still how i see it.
- Why all the complaints about kinn and porsche being lovey-dovey? Haven't you ever been in a relationship? Don't y'all remember your FIRST relationship? It's normal to act like they are doing and i would be extremely pissed if they didn't because they wouldn't be showing us that shift in the relationship that is needed for us to see them as a well-established couple and to distance ourselves of the "bodyguard-boss who are somehow in love and most of the time f*ck" relationship we have been presented for the most part. Also, some of y'all act as if you had 50 minutes of them being cute together when it was literally 2/3 scenes of a couple in love being what? a couple in love, shocker i know. Like c'mon get over yourself, this might be a mafia-themed series but it's first and foremost a love story between kinn and porsche, it is to be expected to see them act like the insufferable couple that they are. Btw since i'm on the topic, y'all have to let go of your hatred for kinn at some point. If he's cold with porsche? You complain. If he's good with porsche? You still complain. Whatever he does he can never win and it's frustrating. What do y'all want from him? He's just a human like you and me, you have to let go of those expectations of him being some unrealistically cold, omniscient and omnipotent mafia boss from a badly written fanfic where love and human emotions besides ruthlessness are frowned upon, not even vegas (who is the one that resembles the most the stereotype) is like that because guess what? When they're not on the clock (and they were not), even mafia bosses love, go on dates, have fun and do all the sh*t that we common human beings do.
Sorry if i sounded a bit pissed but the complaints keep getting weirder and weirder each episode. You can have your opinions and dislike the episode and the series all you want i'm not stopping you but at some point, you need to ponder if the critiques you are moving and presenting as fair are really all of that or are just the result of the expectations you yourselves have set not being met when nothing, and i mean nothing, in the show hinted that they were well-warranted. And i don't want to hear "but the trailer made it seems more..." i don't care. We are on episode 11, it's not your vibe? leave a negative review and drop it.
Yeah Im a bit sceptic too. I hope we will get at least 20 minutes of them tommorow but we will see. I also like…
I believe that they'll take their time to develop their story the best they can because unlike some i trust and i like what boc did with the series up till now, but from the comments i'm seeing around all soc med, i also believe that some are creating unrealistic expectations based on what apo said and i don't want anyone to get disappointed or bash the series for that
i don't want to burst anyone's bubble but i have the feeling that lots of fellow vp stans are going to be disappointed by vegas and pete's screentime. To me it seems that apo's words were a bit misunderstood by some, sure we are going to get more of them and vegas' backstory but i still don't believe the main focus will be on them, like if on tomorrow's episode we're going to get 20 minutes of them to me that's still a lot more of what i expected. Also, while i can't wait for more of vp, there are still a lot of things that need to happen between kinnporsche and the families' conflict so, not to be the pessimistic b*tch that i am lol, but don't get your hopes up too much just to get disappointed when the expectations that you yourselves have created are not met ^^' Having said that, i would love to be proven wrong so boc do your magic! <3
Why are people bothered because Mile has a girlfriend? I mean, Mile and Apo are both obviously straight. The only…
First of all, saying that they are "obviously" straight (whatever that means) is very ignorant, assuming one's sexuality is something i thought we left behind years ago, like c'mon it's 2022. Regarding the reasons behind their choices to take part in this particular bl, both mile and apo have already explained themselves multiple times: mile did it for the experience (he wanted to act in a series and a serious project before hitting 40) and apo came back from ny cause of rona and decided to give it a last shot before actually leaving the industry, an industry that deeply disappointed him (btw apo was already pretty popular for his minor roles which contributed a bit to the series receiving this much attention in thailand since the very beginning). I'm not denying that what you said might be true for some bl actors, because we know that bls are actually the preferential short cut for aspiring actors to get rich and famous quickly and with the least effort however i don't think it's the case for this cast, especially considering the amount of time, money and effort they all put in (like i've seen no bl actor or actor in genral being this loyal and fight this much for a project, if this doesn't show you that they care and it's more than just a quick buck than i don't know what to say to you). Also, mile was being offered some bl's role before kp, which he declined because he didn't see himself in a cute bl which means that if popularity was really his ultimate aim he could have achieved that in an easier way years before, but believe it or not there are actors that act in bls and they do it for passion (shocker i know), they do it because for them it's serious work and not just some stupid sh*t, there are actors in the bl word that actually care about their acting and the project they take part in it and believe in them. You can obviously have your opinion but facts speak louder than any assumption you have going on here ^^'
