Yes, do watch Joy of Life. It's very good. Just that Xiao Zhan doesn't appear until episode 38 or so. But the whole drama is very well made and the story is intriguing. Maybe this new drama can help you move on, not that you want to ... :)

Talking about The Untamed, all of a sudden, I can see Hu Yitian playing Lan Wanji, tall, quiet all that. But I'm glad we have Wang Yibo. Hu Yitian may not have that amazing chemistry with Xiao Zhan. :)

Not only season 2, there's also season 3, spread over maybe 5 years. With that in mind, yes, there's a ton of unfinished business and unsolved mysteries. You should watch it if you have time because it's really very good. Just be very patient and wait for seasons 2 and 3 after this. I waited for Ever Night 2 (same author). Now it's out. It doesn't feel that long for the waiting.

You're so right. Actually, I quite enjoy watching the 2 brothers. I feel Chen Zhe Yuan's acting is very good despite this is his first drama. I like Hu Yitian's aura and look - tall, serious, few words. Overall, I quite enjoy episodes 3-4.

What an achievement for Xiao Zhan! Despite he didn't get the championship, he was in the final round. The other 2 teams were very strong with very popular evergreen singers Fei Yu-ching and Li Ke Qin. They are considered the "Voice" in Asia and world over among the Chinese communities. So Xiao Zhan's achievement is very remarkable. Way to go, Zhan Zhan!
