From the perspective of revenge, I don't think Fu Chou is despicable enough. He's too soft hearted and kind. That's why he's not hated by the viewers.

Woke up this morning and have an epiphany - Wu You and Man Yau (Rong Le) don't seem to have chemistry because Man Yau's true love is not Wu You, but Rong Qi. So, maybe the story would end like this: Wu You gets their son, Fu Chou gets his daughter and Rong Qi gets Qin Man (Rong Le). Win-win-win situation. Sigh! What chaos!

There's no hard core romance if that's what you're looking for. It's more like best friends kind of stuff (PG rated). Even though Zhen Zhen eventually falls in love with Shao Peng Chen, apart from a few pecks here and there, there are no bedroom stuff, nor French kisses. The relationship is cordial, but the process from the beginning is worth watching just for the sake of Deng Lun's performance.

Wow! I must learn from your drama watching skills. I'm watching too slowly. There are so many to watch, including the crappy ones which of course I wouldn't know before I finish the whole thing. With your skills, I can simply skip all the nonsense. Thanks for showing me how.

Wow, wow, wow! If Qin Man (Rong Le) is really like that - one foot 3 boats, my gosh! I'm going to scream! As it is, after episode 56, she has spent 6 months with her Ex. I don't know how Wu You would feel; it's going to eat in him.

If she is supposed to be like what you said in the original novel, oh damn! I think the whole community watching this drama would be on fire! XD

Have you watched the latest 2 episodes, #55 and #56? Mostly Rong Qi 's scenes.

Hahaha! But then, as it is, Qin Man (Rong Le) loves Wu You the most. She only thinks of him. She has forgotten Rong Qi, but her memories start coming back. She hates Fu Chou and wants to stay away from him.

If you skip all Wu You's scenes, then there's nothing much left to watch. I do enjoy watching Fu Chou's scenes though, there's more excitement - a lot of evil but he manages to stay out of it, apart from the silly mistakes like sleeping with the wrong woman, and then poisoning the wrong one later.

Wow! You guys are missing a lot of development of the story.

Imagine three men all over you, and you cannot even breathe. Furthermore, these are not ordinary men; they are emperor and princes. I don't know that is a blessing or a curse. XD

Rong Le is the lucky girl - all three powerful men fall for her. Well, lucky or headache?

The romance is not like lovers type of romance until the very end, but they spend a lot of time together, doing everything together, bantering all the time. It is this bantering that makes the whole drama interesting. Shao Peng Chen's character is really very sweet, self-deprecating all the time especially when he's with Zhen Zhen. My favorite part is when he compares himself with Jing Ran, that is really a hilarious scene.

If you watch this drama because of Deng Lun, then you may want to start from the beginning because his acting is first class. Even though Shao Peng Chen and Zhen Zhen didn't start their romance until Zhen Zhen broke off with Jing Ran, the time they spent together was very sweet. They bantered all the time, and yet, they care and respect each other. Deng Lun's character development was awesome. You can see Shao Peng Chen grew up and became a man from a spoiled brat.

I'm not an Angelababy fan either. Like you, I love "General & I" but not so much for her. But in this drama, her performance is not that bad, at least we can see she tries her best.

Actually I quite enjoy the pace, at least it's not draggy like many others.

No, they are not related. They were couple (ie lovers or husband and wife) before Qin Man (Rong Le's actual name) lost her memory. The real Rong Le died, so they replaced her with Qin Man. It's all a plot by the dowager empress and Rong Qi was forced into it because both he and Qin Man are poisoned by the dowager empress. She has the panacea for the poison hence holding them hostage.

I don't know if I'm confusing you further. If so, please let me know. I'll explain it in a different way.

Yep! That's what I'm guessing too. So she was sent to Bei Ling as a spy (maybe to assassinate someone later) in the name of marriage. But they didn't expect her to fall in love; and they lost their "horse" (as in Chinese chess).
