Leo Luo uses his own voice in this drama (also in Ashes of Love). So that's how he sounds: slow, seemingly weak, but with steel in every word he speaks. I like it.
Rong Qi doesn't give the impression like a 'real' brother to Rong Le; she is more like a lover to him. Fu Chou…
Oh well, a lot. He's just too perfect for a real man. Kind, smart, devoted, upstanding, determined, good looking, powerful, wealthy, intelligent, good swordsman, good academics, good chess player, good taste in everything including tea, cultured, has all the finesse (I can include the whole dictionary with all the good terms to him, and he has them). So we're more or less talking about a man outside of this world. However, if you do ever come across such a man in your life, what would you do?
I watched over half of this before I realised there was a uncut version, but it was too late for me to go back…
Yes, but if you get a chance and time, you should re-watch the uncut version too, because you would have understood the Li Chen Yin character better and why he did what he did. The cut version makes us hate Li Chen Yin because we couldn't understand him.
But first excuse my english language ;)when I'm watching this drama..My goals is just to completes this drama!I…
If it makes you feel any better, I finished this drama almost three months ago, until today, my body is still trying to find my soul back, and make blood to nourish it. I have indulged myself in binge watching other dramas just to get my mind off this one (just like those who indulge in alcoholic drink to forget). The pain still lingers.
Is it just me or is Wu You extremely annoying and the main leads have no chemistry together? I don't buy how the…
Rong Qi doesn't give the impression like a 'real' brother to Rong Le; she is more like a lover to him. Fu Chou comes across to have more desire for Rong Le than Wu You does. The relationship between Rong Le and Wu You is just too cordial, like good friends, instead of lovers. Sigh! What a mess!
It is true that in almost all Chinese dramas, boys meet girls through girls falling and boys catching them, and they both stare into each other's eyes for eternity. Come on, can't the writers think of something new? Girls don't fall that easily.
Agreed! This drama isnt getting enough love and everyone's too focused in the length of the Male leads face smh
It is unfair to judge a drama based on the look of the actors, and not on their acting skills. Though look is important in today's world, it's not everything. Furthermore, Aarif Rahman is handsome and talented as a person. It is unfair to slander him just because some viewers do not like how he looks.
yeah me too. his character is way better than Wu You's
Yep! I agree. Wu You seems to be too 'perfect'. He doesn't seem to have to pay any price, apart from losing Rong Le in the beginning of the story, for whatever decisions he makes; he always gets what he wants; things always work out for him. Whereas for Fu Chou, whatever he does, even with good intention, it always turns bad. So much so that, he becomes numbed to the results he gets, and doesn't get mad anymore; he, kind of, knows he'll always get the lower hand and accepts all the consequences. The writers are unfair - they are too kind to Wu You and too cruel to Fu Chou.
Really overrated.... The drama plot is really with big potential but i think the problem in writing of characters…
I agree to what you're saying. I had the same issues too with the main male lead when I first watched this drama. It was so hard to get over him, thinking (like you), is he smart or stupid? Yes, it was confusing, and it did leave me with anger most of the time. If you read the earlier threads, you would see me together with many, venting out our anger towards Li Chen Yin. We called him names. However, towards the end, many of us forgave him, just like Xiao Feng did. I feel his character is best analyzed by one viewer: https://mydramalist.com/discussions/good-bye-my-princess/39043-li-cheng-yin
If you have time, it is a well written article analyzing this character, a joy to read.
