Since ZZ has accepted JR as her boyfriend, logically, she should have kept some distance from SPC to avoid any misunderstanding. Although, most of the time, it is SPC who comes on to her, she should have drawn the line with him. I don't like it when she pretends she doesn't know SPC's intention and goes along with him.

I feel sorry for JR for being put in a difficult position. On one hand, he feels the responsibility as a son for his mother; he comes from a conventional family and he' s a filial pious son. On the other hand, this is the first time he meets a woman that he truly loves. Losing her may mean he may never marry again; he's not the type to simply find any woman and get married.

JR has tried to accommodate ZZ in every sense. But ZZ is the one who wouldn't compromise; she doesn't understand what it takes to have a happy family - sacrifices, like the way JR sacrifices for her by leaving Italy and coming back to China to start over.

Though I don't like JR's mother that much and wouldn't want a mother-in-law like that, what she says is not totally untrue - to have a successful marriage, both husband and wife must spend quality time together. Just that, her suggestions for ZZ to become a perfect housewife like, learning to cook gourmet food, flower arrangement, etc are a bit, .... urg! I wouldn't want to do that.

ZZ loves her work as a realtor, but she needs not do it at the expense of her family, especially her own boyfriend. She just needs to be more empathized to his needs and works things out with him if she seriously loves him.

His interview in the magazine quoting his ideal wife as someone who simply just stays by his side and be loved by him, shouldn't be taken as something unreasonable. In the right mind, who doesn't want to be loved and pampered by her man and not worried about finance and work?

Yes, I know you're right about JR. Actually, my point is quite general. Time and time again, in Chinese dramas, filial piety is like the birth right of any parents whether they deserve it or not. There are times, I feel, just like to strangle those annoying parents like the shop keeper's (Miss Zeng's) parents.

All children should love and respect their parents, but blindly obey to every wish and whim, that's called stupid, not filial piety.

You may be surprised how many potential mother-in-laws are thinking this way, especially in China. They normally have only 1 child. Divorce rate is high. They are so fearful that their child's divorce may ruin the family financially, especially from the perspective of the wealthier side.

You're right about Zhu Yi Long's roles in many dramas as a mama boy. Apart from this one and MingLan, the other one is Royal Sister Returns. Even when he played in MiYue, he was also a mama boy.

The trailer is quite deceiving. So far, 6 episodes in, it doesn't feel like a very serious drama. Even the villains are silly and funny!

OMG! This is a cute youth/school drama. Can be as good as "Le Coup de Foudre" and "Put Your Head on My Shoulder". Watched 2 episodes, loving every moment of it.

After 5 episodes, this is my verdict:
1. Bad acting, especially by the main male lead, Jeremy Xu.
2. Bad logic.
3. I don't know if it's supposed to be a comedy or what. The exchanges can be funny and comedic. But when it comes to seriousness, it is still comedic. Furthermore, the villains are also comedic.
4. I cannot see how it can be a tragedy. Everything is a joke.

Should I drop or give it a chance and watch a few more episodes before I decide?

Episode 1. This really befuddled me. Why didn't the acrobatic troupe change their verses knowing that they could get into trouble for repeating the lines provided by the Princess? Some of this logic is weird.
