Title My True Friend Spoiler
Gosh! Episode 23, when Jin Ran and Zhen Zhen were alone in the hotel room, they couldn't even touch each other's hands. What is this? They are both adults but acting like some middle school kids when boys and girls draw the line clear. The attempted kissing scene was a torture!

Love Ma Tian Yu, but don't think I can continue with this drama. Still keeping an open mind. Please let me know if it is worthy to watch.

Love the Zhao Guan Chao's character. Despite him being a playboy and wants no commitment, he has always watched out for his little sister. Wish to have a big brother like that.

I love Yan Mo's little uncle. Despite all his flaws, he is so warm to the heart and can be counted as a real friend. He reminds me of some kids in my early school years - some trouble makers whom no one in the class liked. But with this character, he only looks bad on the outside, but inside, he's an angel.

This is a drama of pure innocent, friendship, and youth. The self-deprecating jokes are heart warming and endearing. This drama brings me back to my early years of school - what a journey!

Title My True Friend Spoiler
Will the name of drama ("friend"), the subtle uniqueness of plot and realistic direction will leave us more than…
Love your analysis. Yes, it's indeed very hard to see how the drama ends eventually. It's totally unacceptable to make Zhen Zhen fall out of love with Jing Ran and fall in love with Peng Cheng because that would have been out-of -character for Zhen Zhen. Furthermore, her feelings for Peng Cheng have always been just friendship or brotherhood despite she disliked him in the beginning (don't blame her; he acted like an AH on the surface - rich and spoiled). So it is hard to see how Zhen Zhen can turn a brotherly love into a passionate and intimate love affair between herself and Peng Cheng.

Though passive and lack in understanding the needs of a woman, I do root for Zhen Zhen to end up with Jing Ran. I don't think Jing Ran would ever fall in love again with and marry another woman had he lost Zhen Zhen because he's simply not the type to go out to find love. Furthermore, the woman also has to pass the test from his mother. I don't dislike his mother; I find her to be a poor mother like many who wait patiently for their children to come home. I can also empathize Jing Ran's predicament; on one hand, he loves his work and to live in Italy, on the other, he is also a filial child who tries hard not to upset his mother, and live up to his mother's wishes. He is very torn between the 2 worlds. I guess the crunch eventually will boil down to his priority and what he views as most important - his career or his family.

Despite whatever ending we may eventually get, I feel this drama is worthy to watch, even just for the entertainment value we get from the Shao Peng Cheng's character played by Deng Lun. He is simply funny and hilarious. The exchanges between him and his "little girlfriend" are enough to make one laugh rolling. His analysis of himself and comparison with Jing Ran makes me laugh out loud even days later. He is simply an adorable character. Despite all his flaws, he reaches our hearts and the screen lights up every time he appears.

Folks, go for it. Watch it. It's fun!

Same here. Hopefully we can see more of him if they decide to make "Princess Agents 2". Fingers crossed. Deng Lun has quite a full schedule lining up for the next 2 years. Can't wait to watch more of his work.

I know. That's the first time I discovered him. Loved him since. He was hilarious in "Princess Agent", except his appearance was so limited.

I love the exchanges between Shao Peng Cheng and his "little girl friend" whom he denies, and his bantering with Cheng Zhen Zhen is super funny. Whenever Deng Lun appears, the whole drama becomes simply hilarious! Deng Lun is amazing in playing characters like this. Really enjoy watching him.

Yes, I do agree with you on this, ".... Asian culture- parents are like that." Even to this day, most Asian parents,…
Yes, I know what you're going through and how you're feeling. I went through that in my childhood. My dad almost gave my younger sister away when she was born because she's "another girl"; they had wanted a boy. Throughout my life, I've always believed that whatever these parents have done to their daughters, one day this would come back to them. It may not come back in the same generation while they're living. These parents want boys to carry on their family names and genes. It is really an irony that now, many men cannot find wives, let alone passing on their names and genes, because men now outnumber women in China.

Yes, I do agree with you on this, ".... Asian culture- parents are like that." Even to this day, most Asian parents, especially the Chinese, favor boys. This is an irony. Today, we have more male than female in China. The gender disparity makes many men unable to find wives in China. In my parents' generation, daughters were not allowed to inherit any properties. They were considered thrown-away water, a waste of the family resources, even just to feed them. Many mothers smothered and killed their own new-born female babies. Today, you can see many of the lucky ones (being thrown away instead of being killed) get adopted in the USA. My neighbor adopted 2 beautiful healthy daughters from China. To get rid of their daughters, many parents also resort to "selling" their daughters through marriages. It doesn't matter how their daughters would be treated in the in-laws' families. All it matters were they get a large dowry from the men's families. This type of thinking and rot really puts the greatest nation to shame.

So far at ep 15, this drama is worthy of watching. I love the Shao Peng Cheng's character, so well played by Deng Lun. Despite being wealthy and unruly, he is simply kind and adorable. I also love the Jing Ran character played by Zhu Yi Long, those sad eyes hiding untold stories, and his calmness when facing challenges; Jing Ran is a deep and complex character to analyze. Angelababy's performance is pretty good here. Beautiful, and almost teenager-like, she portrays her character Cheng Zhen Zhen convincingly.

Although the show seems to be strangely conflating interior designer and architect for Jing Ran, the writers are…
Yes, that's the line that caught me by surprise, "the competitor sabotage was especially effective because public opinion has been influenced by growing xenophobic tendencies due to refugees public safety issues and economic instability". This is such a current issue that the writer has captured it beautifully.

This drama has not been watched by many, what a pity. It is a wonderful drama and I'm glad I decided to watch it. The scenery of Yunnan region is simply out of this world - so natural and so beautiful. The minority group living there is one of the most beautiful people with beautiful costumes and traditions. I hope most viewers stumble across this drama like me and decide to give it a try.

I like Liu Tao. She's a very good actress, especially when she played the Empress in the "Legend of Mi Yue". But playing Wang Ke Ke in this series as a happy-go-lucky girl, I feel very uncomfortable. I wish the producers had chosen a younger and more naturally innocent girl over Liu Tao. Seeing a mature person acting as an innocent little girl makes me cringe.

Nahnahnah, not Yu Zhi. He's a sweet soul .... XD
"Put Your Head on My Shoulder (2019)" maybe a good candidate too - no annoying triangular relationships, or antagonists. Just pure, plain, sweet romance.
