Is the drama worth watching? I'm busy with the novel currently and contemplating watching the drama.
I think it is definitely worth watching. It's a realistic slow burn story so if you need everything to be fast paced and have a lot of action this won't be for you. But if you want a historical drama with talented veteran actors, witty dialogue, and realistic sets and storyline then you'll love it. One of the few dramas I think that actually deserves its 8.9 rating.
Can someone recommend me some good historal chinese dramas? I've been searching for some and all the one's I've…
1. The Story of Ming Lan (this one looked hella boring to me at first too but trust me, it's soooo fantastic. Best historical drama I've ever seen) 2. Goodbye My Princess 3. Princess Agents (open/incomplete ending, just an upfront warning) 4. Eternal Love (this one takes about ten episodes for it to really pick up) 5. Journey of Flower ( super shitty cgi that some people can't overlook but if you can then it's a really great drama)
I gotta add another Zhao Li Ying character, Ming Lan from the Story of Ming Lan. She was so freaking badass in the most subtle devious ways. My favorite female character ever.
there's a painful love triangle in this? because if there is i don't think i can handle it =(
I wouldn't say painful. When the leads get together their past loves are done and over with, the SML pines a little bit too long for the FL but that's really it.
Four years and no subs:/ I hate that chinese dramas aren't as popular as korean ones, they always get subbed and super quickly despite a lot of them being super shitty.
What would you do if you know you have very little time left to live:1 - Forsake your love, hurt him, let him…
Ugh I know. This happened in the Legend of Dugu. The dude the FL initially loved and who loved her back wasn't going to live past 30 so they didn't stay together and it reeeeally pissed me off! They both ended up settling for other people and not being nearly as happy as they could have been together for the remainder of his life. I really hope they don't do that in this one.
2. Goodbye My Princess
3. Princess Agents (open/incomplete ending, just an upfront warning)
4. Eternal Love (this one takes about ten episodes for it to really pick up)
5. Journey of Flower ( super shitty cgi that some people can't overlook but if you can then it's a really great drama)
