It's funny, but too over the top for my taste I think. I got about 1 1/2 episodes into it before I dropped it.If…
I've dropped after the 4th episode. It's really over the top. It was over the top from the very start but I hoped it was going to be chaotic but good. I liked their take on Cinderella story and the way they use the narrator. But after there have been new characters presented it got too cringy for me. I just can't stand the 2FL. She's awful and always angry. The ML is in denial that fails to be funny. Also (as it's only 10 episodes) the rest of the plot is rather clearly shown already and I don't expect the drama will get much better.
Um FL is annoyingly childish cuz she literally is one. She was primary, then secondary school in the first few…
Well, let me rephrase my question then... For how long does she stay a child in the drama? Is it all showed from her point of view? How much of the story is about the "grown-up" romance?
It was quite a nice watch. I liked the banter between students. But while ML was handsome and dashing it was a little annoying how he always solved all the problems before they were even presented to the audience. And actress playing FL just wasn't right. She was so thin it was disturbing to me. Also FL felt a litle detached from the reality. In the beginning it was supposed she is quite a genius (thus lives in her own world) but in the end she was just following ML and didn't get to achieve anything special. Even in the game's super diffucult mission for the best couples she was reduced to waiting for ML to find her.
Surprisingly yet, I finished it thinking it was something nice so I guess there have to be a lot of good moments:)
When does FL stop being so annoyingly childish? Is her love one-sided for most of the drama?
I've seen first 7 episodes and it's been rather slow and boring. I hoped it would get better soon but there's still mostly her one-sided crush, bratty or immature behaviour and a lot of "hidden" agenda about studying hard and obeying your parents.
I was thinking what will fill the gap now that Lovely Runner is complete? Looks like this drama and The Atypical…
Cinderella theme is my guilty pleasure :) Although I like it when there's some twist to the theme. And in this drama I love how she wants to be Cinderella because of all the cynical reasons (money, rent, debts etc.) rather that some romantic notion.

Well, I'm new then :) and while I like all the info about dramas and option of commenting, I really would like for the ratings to be more varied. I just feel that the 9 rating means something while there's hardly any difference between range 7-8. Actually, ratings around 7.5 means the drama is probably below average. And the scale is from 1 to 10! So an average drama should be around 5 :(
Sorry, for the off topic. It's just that the whole rating system kind of sucks 😅
I wish I enjoyed this drama as everyone else but unfortunately it wasn't a good experience for me. The romance…
Firstly: the rating is based on votes from quite a lot of people so I think it clearly shows their preference.
Secondly: are you new at MDL? High ratings are typical here. Just go to any high rated drama and check the comment section. There are always some comments going like this "it was an ok drama, I didn't enjoyed it as much as I thought I would and a lot of things bothered me so I give it 7 (or 8)". There's almost no difference between dramas that are really good and dramas that are only ok, because people rarely rate anything below 6 :)
I have kept this on my plane to watchlist...I picked this today as off to watch on weekend...but AAAHH...the ending...now…
I like your comment about the first love being something special and holding a special place among our memories. I agree with that. But in the film I didn't like how FL was portrayed as if she was unable to live past that experience. As if she was stucked on ML for the rest of her life and unhappy.
A movie don't need always to have a happy ending to be good. Tragedies happens in our lives. Of course I wanna…
I'd like it much more if there was something Bo-Ra learnt from this whole experience, if she gained some wisdom. But it seemed she was unable to go on with her life and was forever unhappy. For example, in "Titanic" there's a feeling that although Rose was super sad that Jake died, he gave her an experience that helped her go on with her life in better way that she would do if she has never met him. So although they weren't able to be together she was better after knowing him even for a short period of time. Here, FL's seems pointless and hinders her adult life.
Just watched.. I thought it was a cute romcom, until it wasn't. I can't say I even was sad, I was mad. Part of…
I feel you! It was a cute film and then suddenly it felt as I was watching something totally different. Had I been watching the TV, I would think I changed the channel by accident.
This is actually a real life story based on the writer's experience. I hope that explains why the ending was made…
Hey, I found an interview with a writer (on the reference list on Wikipedia) and the only thing that is based on her real life is observing another student for her friend. The rest is fictional. Even if it wasn't, telling a real-life story without a message/moral is pointless. Obviously, life isn't logical. But I think the stories about life should be.
let's not bring other dramas here to be respectful 🫶🙌
I am not asking about QoT (which I haven't seen). I'm asking how someone can have a personal grudge against people who enjoy the drama? It's just crazy.
What the hell was this ending? I don't understand why it was made this way. For me, it doesn't deliver any message…
I wouldn't mind sad ending so much if it was making some existential point. But the film starts as a story about friendship and first love to end like this. Why did he die? What was the point (plot wise) for his death? And why would a teenager be broken for the rest of her life after one failed romantic relationship (that to her knowledge ended just because the guy ignored her)? She doesn't know he's dead until she's thirty something and it seems she's going to stay single for the rest of her life. I mean, a widow could be alright after so many years and what about a girl who was ready to give him up for her friend? Who never was in real relationship with him? Was the message: "be selfish, don't care about your friend's feelings, if you like someone go after them because they can die any time"?
Well, we understand that you dislike the drama—that's your opinion, and we totally respect that. However, your…
Off topic here (I didn't watch this drama). It's just that... there's a thing I don't underestand about MDL: when someone says "I don't like this drama" there is always someone else who comments like you "I respect your opinion but you are wrong, check the rating/comments/whatever and you will understand your mistake". Honestly, if they say they don't like, they simply don't like it. They're neither right, nor wrong (we're talking about opinions, not facts). Just let them be.
