seriously I don't understand the ratings ....? like it was so terrible? why did I even finish this? I didn't feel…
OMG yes I know. I already watched it. Let me just say it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo unbelievable much better than the K-version. First I hesitated a little because I thought the Thai-version would be just as bad. but it was so gooooooood and Mike and Aom's chemistry is seriously off the charts
I was laughing so much the first few episodes because sometimes everything was just ridiculous but you'll get used to it quickly. The leads have amazing chemistry. It was weird and unlogical sometimes but I did not regret watching this.
I believe Jin Yan's look at the end symbolizes that he continues to solve crimes because if you remember whenever he reenacted the crime scenarios his pupils were big too. So it doesn't really have to mean that Allen is actually real, what I don't believe because there was really no evidence for it.
the part about the stupid/lacking female lead actually bothers me because in I Can Hear Your Voice - Where?, I Remember You - Where?, in Healer - Where?, in Pinocchio - Where?
all of them were smart and funny and educated.
lf you think they were stupid/lacking I would not recommend you to watch Boys Over Flowers, Playful Kiss, Reply Series, She Was Pretty, You Who Came From the Stars, Master's Sun ... and that's a pity because all of these dramas are absolutely great (except for BoF, just not my thing but others love it to death)
Healer was a pleasure from beginning to end.
If you're not sure whether to start or not. DO IT OKAY????? JUST DO IT. YOU'LL THANK ME. and if you didn't like it you either have a bad taste in dramas or it's just not your genre. I seriously cannot think of another reason.
Even though Minho is my absolute bias I did expect less. But he really improved... like A LOT. He was so good, so cute, so handsome.
The story was very realistic I though and I really liked that they didn't force Song Yi and Tae Oh together because it would've ruined everything.
I wish they showed Tae Oh coming back. I would've been pleased with just the focus on their faces so we know he is coming back for sure and that nothing really changed and they're friends like before. But okay, I'll just imagine this part myself.
People saying Deok Sun and Taek didn't have any chemistry are only heartbroken. I feel ya I felt the same way with Chilbongie.
But Deok Sun and Taek were amazing it's only that you were all fooled by how miserable Junghwan was all the time because he didn't take any of his billion chances to finally approach her. I mean the whole time they showed us that Deok Sun was the perfect one for Taek, that only she could handle his helplessness and yeah, I know a few of you are pissed because you see him as a little child but oh boy, Taek had his moments where he was the manliest of them all, just saying.
I think it was really realistically made, that because Junghwan was ALWAYS procrastinating, he didn't get the girl. And Taek, even though he backed away when he realized he wasn't the only one in love, finally tried to do something and stood his man. I mean Junghwan admitted it himself. I'm just sad they didn't show us that he found his luck with another woman. They could have made such a nice transition to it, were Junghwan could say that with this one he didn't even dared to procrastinate and that no one could stop him from making this girl his one and only.
People who are hurt because Junghwan didn't end up as the husband should know how I felt about Chilbongie. Anyway,…
I actually think this might've been the best of Replys but the first one will forever be my favorite. I didn't like 1994 at all and that is not only because my heart was broken in the end, it was just the overall feel, I didn't feel much for any character and they barley gave them any development.
People who are hurt because Junghwan didn't end up as the husband should know how I felt about Chilbongie.
Anyway, this drama wasn't only about the love story, it was way more about the families and the friendships. I mean I did enjoy every scene with Duk Seon und Taek (because TeamTAEK) but which scenes really brought me to tears where all the other ones. All this bonding with each other and seeing how the characters grew and changed or didn't changed at all. All selfless acts and making everything so freaking relatable for everyone, no matter what age.
The only thing that really bothered me was that they didn't show how the other ones except of Duk Seon/Taek and Bo Ra/Sun Woo and NoEul ended up. I would've loved to see how Junghwan reacted to Duk Seon and Taek dating, I would've loved to see everyones reaction to that. I want to know if the ladies are still meeting occasionally, want to see how Jung Bong build his career. Did Junghwan meet someone he could love more than Duk Seon? Is there any girl that can keep up with Dong Ryong stinky farts (and he would make an amazing dad)? What about Duk Seon and Taek's kids? How about the lives of the parents? Since all their kids are finally grown ups what are they doing all day? I wish they showed us at least the new home Duk Seon's mom was saving for.
With all this I still rate Reply 1988 a 10/10 because of the freaking greate cast and the freaking good chemistry and the amazing acting and all the freaking feels.
As much as I love Jang Na Ra I hope they focus on Yoo In Na's story as well. I really like her as an actress and she looks so freaking cute with the curls yet the her character is really fierce.
seriously I don't understand the ratings ....? like it was so terrible? why did I even finish this? I didn't feel the love until the end and I kept waiting and waiting and the kiss was so bleh and ugh no ... just no.
I don't even care who she ends up with. I mean personally I'd take Shin Hyeok but I understand all her feelings for Seong Jun. I just hope everybody will end up happy, even her BF.
