So bland brother, so bland. Even plain ass greek yogurt is more flavorful than this. Just gonna wait for a compilation of the second couple's moments cause they have more chemistry in their left pinkie than all of the main couple's combined π
I'm so impatient to watch Si Won & Yu Jin's date, they've been my pick for the last 4 episodes π
Thank you so much! I'll save it for the future! I already found another site and watched it for now heehee <3 (that one also didn't have any subs so I had to make do with my broken Korean lol)
That said, I really can't get over So Ji Sub and Shin Min Ah as a couple in this! They're just too attractive and perfect together! Ughhhh! This show gave us so many iconic moments and characters, the dimple flying kiss, the workout kisses, back hug flirting and so many more. Mr. Min has got to be one of my favorite side characters lol. I'm usually not a huge fan of romcom but love romcoms that are done well. This was a mature romance between actual adults who are holding down their jobs and also rooting for each other. Above all else, they COMMUNICATE! They weren't the kind to just sit around waiting for things to solve themselves and let the misunderstandings grow, they actually got up and got it taken care of. They knew life was too short to be wasting around just dilly-dallying and that go-getter personality of theirs is what keeps this drama interesting and their chemistry thriving. Speaking of chemistry, they weren't afraid of the tiny touches at all! A hug here, a flirty line there and a forehead kiss to stir things up. They never let the viewers get bored. The writing too, oh my gosh, so many emotions packed all into one drama. Friendship, betrayal, hope, despair, love, loneliness, these were all subjects that the writer handled with such care and in depth that it all reaches to you and makes you sympathize with the characters going through these phases. I could just fangirl about this drama all day lol.
A must watch for every romcom lover imo. Don't take things too seriously, and just enjoy it for what it is; a fictional story. <3
The acting and chemistry is promising, just that there's a lot of melodrama. Don't have high hopes for the plotline since the first ep gave me the impression that it would be quite illogical and that the negative characters are going to have a heavy influence on how the story progresses (which usually isn't my cup of tea). Looking forward to see how this story unfolds nonetheless.
From the preview, it looks like Ji Hye & Jeong Won will be holding hands and Ju Hee is the one in the grey hoodie who walks up to Jun Han to whisper something in his ear.
Yun So fell off big time. He went from being my one pick in ep 1 to my most disliked contestant by ep 3, and ep 4 just solidified that. I let out a sigh every time he comes on my screen. He has no awareness of his surroundings or consideration on how the other person might feel because of his actions and keeps acting selfishly. He should've toned things down when Ju Hee mentioned she wanted to explore more instead of clinging even harder. He really has that effect of making you super uncomfortable and wanting to leave the room immediately when he enters. Free Ju Hee oml, the poor girl looks like she's been snared.
Anyhow, Si Won omg???? I got to see a new side to him today. I already liked his even temperament & calm nature, but after seeing his charm in the game, I'm wooed. He also seems to be very easy-going and positive. Judging by his former athlete background, he has a strong mentality too. He's a catch for sure .π
i dropped in to say just that. brilliant. im still fazed.
sdjkfsdflks I just finished watching it rn too! π It was so perfect oh my gosh. I'm still gushing. The writer did such a good job setting up the emotional beats & putting the characters in turmoil with brain vs heart & the actors executed everything perfectly. Just *chef's kiss* Pure perfection.
I'm sorry, I'm usually not a hater & appreciate every person as they come but Jin Young (the woman catfish) speaks in such an annoying manner π The forced high pitch + nasal aegyo tone is too grating on my ears, & she also somehow manages to roll the vowels at the back of her throat instead of placing them forward like you normally would. I just can't get past it π That aside, her date with Jun Han really did make me feel fluttery, it was really nice to see her show off her noona charm.
This show has such a high rewatch value imo. It's mostly character driven & the actors do such a wonderful job bringing their roles to life. The banter, the chemistry, the depth, the lore, the layers to the story, and the way the whole cast plays off of each other & makes each scene engaging oof. A romcom for the ages.
Definitely about to become one of my favorite shows ever.
One thing I love about this show so much is that they don't let the misunderstandings dwell for long. They move through each situation at a good pace and give it the due attention it deserves without slowing down too much. As they say, a flowing stream keeps the water from getting murky. That's why each episode is fresh & engaging & doesn't feel draggy.

Does anyone have any suggestions other than ki**kh?
I absolutely love the story and sure some plot points weren't entirely necessary or to my taste but they were handled so well that I can't even complain and just brush past them, especially since the pacing is so good, the episodes just fly by!
The complaints are valid about the second couple and family drama (I find them annoying as well) but seeing how this is a show from 2016, I think it deserves to get a bit of leeway. Also, I think it is these little flaws that make it unique, had the writer been too careful and accommodating, the show might've ended up too generic and bland, losing it's charm and failing to move it's viewers as much as it did now.

His bambi eyes remind me of Park Jihoon sdjfsdsdkjdf. They're both so pretty <3

Pure perfection.
That delivery at the end of ep 11 π©β¨
The rewatches are gonna hit so good.

Also that confession & kiss ughhhhhh π©β¨
Cha Se Gye is one of the few MLs in Kdramaland that I've seen be in touch with his emotions & actually being rational about them instead of letting the misunderstanding cause a drift between the couple. He actually addressed the issue head on & laid himself bare. Vulnerable for Shin Seo ri to see. You just know that's a man written by a woman ππ
So many obstacles in their path π I fucking love this show so much π
