Person So Ji Sub
I feel so guilty fawning over this man cause he's literally born in the same year as my dad 😭
But I can't help it, he's too fine 😭😭

Oh. My. Fucking. God.
Istg if the MC doesn't survive and live happily ever after with his daughter, I will literally shoot somebody. The revenge I've longed for, they better serve it tomorrow, and it better be COLD. Ughhh the preview is not looking good. I don't wanna watch the ring fight scene 😭

Just realized that Yoon Kye Sang also played the infamous villain in "The Outlaws," Jang Chen 😭
Oh the role reversal πŸ‘
Jin Sun Kyu also played alongside him as his underling.

Such talented actors, I really couldn't imagine that they'd do such a wonderful job in negative roles as I was watching this drama. Yoon Kye Sang especially was unrecognizable with his man bun and beard in the outlaws.

Initially, the show's airtime was set to Saturdays but they must've had a conflict with the timeslots or something…
I have not actually! But it's on my watchlist. I haven't seen S1 either so I'm gonna start with that (whenever it is that I get the time lol). Sorry I couldn't tell u much about it :(
But just give it a go ig? You can continue watching if you like it, otherwise, just drop it. It's the contestants that make or break these reality tv shows so if no one is to your liking, there's no point in watching.

I feel he looks more like Got7’s Jinyoung ( Yumi’s Cells, The Witch, Devil Judge, Unβ€” Seoul)
Yes!!!!! He definitely does!
I was watching Lee Junho's I Live Alone episodes & noticed it too when Jinyoung made an appearance! The fact that they're both from JYP & such handsome beans lol. But yes, Siwon definitely does resemble Jinyoung more, even though in either case, it's high praise <3
It's probably because of the age gap that Yu Jin picked Taecyeon since he's 2nd gen & she must've been into celebrities more back then & might not be well versed with the newer celebrities πŸ‘€

Literally not even yesterday I was thinking about how Si Won resembled Ok Taec Yeon and today Yu Jin said the same thing sdhjfhsdkfs. I feel so validated lol.
The strong, dark brows, the well defined face and the forehead are so similar. Even the swept back hairstyles. Si Won is such a catch.

Ps. He was being so adorable in today's date. I've never seen him act this way before, he looks so smitten πŸ˜πŸ’—

plan to watch it when all the episodes have been released. If it follows the scheduled days (Wednesday, Saturday),…
Initially, the show's airtime was set to Saturdays but they must've had a conflict with the timeslots or something so they switched it from Saturdays to Wednesdays halfway through and now the show airs every Wednesday. It's only one episode per week. Ep 9 aired today and Ep 10 will air on the 29th!

YES! So Ji Sub is very handsome in those black-rimmed specs and his hair..... 😍He does not look 48 yo but 38.
Oh My Venus is one of my absolute fave romcoms of all time! You should check it out! Shin Min Ah and So Ji Sub make an amazing couple in that drama. There were so many iconic lines and heartfluttering scenes, I still go back to rewatch them every once in a while despite my first watch being 8 years ago! It's a classic for me <3

Title The East Palace Spoiler
I had a great time with this drama, binged it all in one night lol. The characters were compelling, the storyline…
Plotholes I noticed:
- How exactly did Saeng Gang's soul travel back to her body if the Crown Prince-turned deity had already devoured it. We never saw the wispy blue coming back out of his mouth, nor did we see her come back alive like the villagers when the rite was being held (which understandable because that was a rite for those who'd been wronged) and Gu Chan also mentioned that once the Crown Prince devours a soul, it gets tangled with his and it would be impossible to send them to the afterlife or bring back at all. Then was it because Saeng Gang's entire soul hadn't been devoured yet that she was able to survive? If that were the case, I could understand that Gu Chan sending her his Yang energy sustained her soul and gave it the strength to go back to the world of the living. It's just that the last 2 eps felt like they had a lot going on without much explanation and just a whole lot of handwaving for events happening and the logic behind them. The writer just expecting the viewers to fill in the blanks with their own imagination which kind of breaks the consistency of the world they've already established.
- In ep 8, Gu Chan goes to the primordial Gwimae with the strong Yin energy and makes a pact to gain it's powers. How is it that after making that pact, and beating the Crown Prince, he was able to go back to the world of the living despite having been bound to gwi realm? I guess this can only be explained in Season 2 and it's more of a cliffhanger than a plothole but his safe arrival back is quite astonishing, even if relieving.
- Also, how did the shaman hired by the Queen Dowager know where Saeng Gang was. I can understand that he knew she'd gone to the world of gwi but knowing the location of the pond she'd used as portal? And severing the rope? That was a little far-fetched.

And the most absurd thing of all, they spill so much of their blood, and lie on the bed for three days yet go right back to "perfect" health and run around the second they wake up, despite not having drank even water during that time. Not to mention the physical injuries and psychological trauma. This is for sure a Fantasy drama lol.

I had a great time with this drama, binged it all in one night lol. The characters were compelling, the storyline was interesting and the plot twists kept me hooked. One complain that I do have is that there were quite a few plotholes that I would've liked to be explained better, maybe they'll do that in season 2, but I fear the short run-time (only 45 minutes per ep instead of 1hr+ with a run length of 8 eps instead of 10 or 14) really worked against this drama in the latter half.
Some of the questions that I still have, I'll mention them in the comment below under the spoilers tag.

Overall, a great watch, I had fun and that was all that mattered to me atm since I'd been in a slump for a while.
A 9.5/10 for me.

Absolutely loving this show.
I was laughing at Jin Cheol sliding down the windshield, cheering when Kim beat down Hyeri's dad and crying when Kim was having a heart to heart with Minji at the dining table :(
So many emotions and epic moment in just one ep. I feel sorry for those who couldn't understand the beauty of this masterpiece.

Can't wait to see Kim back again in his homeland and how he escapes. My guess is that the OG Number 66's brother is going to come in handy here.
