He truly improved with this role. Perhaps also due to the director? A lot depends on the actors themselves, yes, but the director and crew's job is also to guide them and give tips and directions on how to play the role and act a certain scene.
He always felt stiff in his acting and he was never completely into the character (hence why I was a little unsure of him getting this part), but with ZYZ he proved time and time again that he can bring to life such a nuanced character and isn't just a pretty face, so now I am looking forward to more of his projects

His episode 1 prison break is probably in my top 5 scenes of that drama
Rewatched it yesterday and it remains as iconic as the first time

It really depends on what you like in a drama and what you are looking for.
Visually wise (cinematography and costumes), it's simply gorgeous and its OST is very much the best among 2024-aired dramas. The acting is great and all characters have depth, flaws and reasonable motivations.
The plot itself is its weakest point and doesn't have much substance, but if you prefer to see different relationships between characters and just a character-driven drama, then I'd say give this one a try.

A doubt just came to me.
Do you know in episode one, when ZYZ and ZYC just met and ZYZ is counting to three. Does he actually kill those guards or do they only just drop to the ground?
I really can't remember, but if he does kill them, it wouldn't make sense for his character and his morality.
Because he's not "evil" and slowly turns good the more he spends time with the demon hunting bureau, he's already good and loves humanity.

Yeah, the toxicity you mentioned does not surprise me and is sadly nothing new to me, but I was really expecting a lot more care and control in the rules and guidelines of the site in itself. Silly me, I guess.

I'm also of the idea that calling out certain behaviours is necessary at times, but, as we've been seeing all too often, these days, it just isn't working with that user. Au contraire, I'm noticing that the more you call them out and try to reason with them (no matter how objective and polite you try to be), the more they twist it and play the victim, going as far as calling us paid bots and writing a whole topic about propaganda and toxic behaviours.
