I mean, this is what I did. I couldn't care less about her backstory and silly ideas, but I like the show, so I simply pretended she is not there to avoid getting pissed off.

She gets slightly (only a little bit) better later on, but she is still extremely annoying and useless. Still thoughtless and egoistic, making stupid decisions and generally being a burden. I actually almost dropped it because of female lead but I am glad I didn't, plot and male actors are worth it (not only LYF and ZRY but also Zhang Lu Yi and Yin Zheng). My advice would be - pretend that character played by ZDY does not exist.

I pretty much never watch horrors because I get scared easily, but this one is not scary at all. People are overreacting.

It has 4.7/10 on Douban, so compared to this 8.8 is extremely high

Entertaining and interesting to watch? YES.

This drama is no masterpiece, but it's enjoyable.
There is one thing that is pissing me off though. EDITING. One moment someone lies on the floor, literally the next second he is standing on the other side of the room. I get it they are trying to save some time this way (?) but it's simply too much for me.

It's because you are downloading RAWs with tencent intro. Either find these with no intro or download program like aegisub and shift sub timing by ~9 seconds forward.
