Love how upbeat the opening is. Really dig the cinematography, the music and the conversations in this, everything about it just gives off this chill, warm, cozy vibe when you're watching this. Perfect show to watch during the night after a long stressful day at work.
and Keita here does seem like he's a professional bartender too! Not gonna lie, I got hungry watching the first episode haha
Yup! http://blog.livedoor.jp/zst_katsumura They mentioned this in the blog but running the ropes in the ring is really painful, because wrestling rings use actual real ropes, not like plastic/nylon springy-ish ropes (which at first is what everyone assumes, right?) and you see them bouncing off the ropes as if they're trampolines so when you see wrestlers running the ropes, they actually have to run with full momentum (and done properly!) so that the rope launches them back which hurts a lot and has real leverage as opposed to the other kind of ropes I was talking about earlier, the majority of veteran wrestlers have always mentioned the hardest thing when they were starting out isn't taking a bump/falling in the ring but running the ropes because they would leave bruises on their backs that would last for days. it gets less painful for wrestlers as their bodies eventually get used to the pain after doing it (& doing it properly) for a long time so I'd imagine it hurt a lot for Tomoya and he mentioned he tried to wear a hoodie during training to lessen the pain but said they still hurt a lot. And there's the part about taking a bump (aka falling on the ring) which is a different story too but here's Gordon Ramsay taking a bump https://streamable.com/jt76kp
Here's a clip of beginners learning to run the ropes and not doing it properly: https://streamable.com/d4go It's not as easy as it looks so I think Tomoya deserves a lot of respect and appreciation for taking on this role and training for such a difficult sport especially considering he's training at his age, 42 isn't super old sure but no wrestler or athlete, let alone anybody AFAIK starts training for any sport at that age especially for a physical sport like this so props to Tomoya!
but there was also an article recently that tried to badmouth and lie about Tomoya irresponsibly injuring the wrestlers (yes, the wrestlers you see in the show are actual trained popular wrestlers besides Inowaki ofc) and Shuichiro Katsumura, the wrestler in yellow outfit that Juichi is always fighting against, addressed this on his blog saying the article was lying and they always take good care of Tomoya and vice versa too (just j-netz at their finest again)
TL;DR wrestling is not easy as it looks and it hurts. Huge respect to Tomoya for taking on this role and training for such a difficult sport especially when he's in his 40s.
Sagara is actually not really strong. he seems to be nerfed because the main boys getting stronger.
the fight was clearly even and both fought fairly at first until near the end we can clearly see Sagara had the upper hand and forced Eiji to take out and switch to his blades, not to mention the fight was never over too until mitsuhashi jumped in
whether you agree Sagara was going to beat Eiji or not, you can clearly tell Sagara is strong (just like how he's always been in the anime & manga)
Missed this drama so much and looks like they amped the cinematography for this one cause it looks fantastic!…
love the new song and love that it's an actual full song!
if i had to nitpick what I didn't like, I'm not a fan of the new guest character in this one, that innocent Akehisa guy had too much screentime for my liking, I think he had more screentime than Kanna Hashimoto and Wakatsuki Yumi tbh.

just watched the movie and he is definitely not supposed to be weak because he kicked so much ass there :O i'm most definitely looking too much into this since this is just a comedy but they made sagara look weak in the drama
