This has Kubota Sayu and the first ep was interesting... should I watch the rest? is it worth it?
If you can't handle corniness or cheesiness, this definitely isn't it. The latter half of this drama takes a sudden turn and COMPLETELY changes the tone of the entire drama. Either you'll find it amusing or you'll hate it, really bad.
All I can say is, take a look for yourself if you'll enjoy it or not. But I wouldn't recommend this drama whatsoever, it is absolutely not worth your time because IT'S SO BAD (but depending on the person, it can be humorous). It's like the writer didn't know how to end the story and called it a day. I have no idea how Netflix thought this would a good show to have on their platform, out of all the jdramas out there ;_;
Have only watched this one and not the korean movie but regardless I enjoyed this. These two were a fun duo, really felt like best friends working and growing up together. The action was solid too, wouldn't mind seeing a season two! The latter episodes were really interesting too.
IMO (and I will most definitely tick some idol fans off) Nakajima Kento seriously need to work on his expressions here because he's not very expressive here and pretty much has the same serious face about 90% of the time to the point it almost ruined certain scenes for me. Sho Hirano on the other hand was good.
It’s interesting that you thought it was dated as I felt the opposite! There was definite sexism agreed, I found…
It's been a while but there was that one dude with a humongous afro lol. And yeah, she's a strong independent woman for sure but I remember there were times I wanted her to stand up for herself and not walk away.
They could have at least waited to kill his friends off towards the ending of the season ugh
Nah it was a great way to introduce how cruel the heart games are. The main purpose of what happened in ep 3 gave Arisu the motivation to continue searching for the game masters and the reason as to why they're playing all these games. It gave Arisu a reason to want to rest, but at the same time, eventually, it gave him the ultimate reason to keep on living. It's not an unnecessary death, but one that drove the whole plot along. Karube & Chouta may be gone but they're metaphorically w/ Arisu until the very end.
So many hate on social media (here on this page too) about Arimura getting casted, wow. I'm a fan of her but okay I too think she's not exactly the best actress out there but the hate for her being casted as Tomoe is harsh. I've never read the manga or watched the anime so I can enjoy whatever it is they do with her character here but even if I did know the story via anime or manga, I'm not gonna start comparing because I can at least appreciate this adaptation as its own thing.
Loved the trilogy, excited to see the two sequels!
haven't watched the anime or read the manga just yet and definitely considering it now but I really loved this trilogy. As usual, the fight choreographics are amazing.
The action scenes in this were everything!! Somehow they managed to top the first one. The acting, the cinematography and the music, amazing.
Great watch. If I had to nitpick what I didn't like is that they used Kaoru being kidnapped again for the plot for the next movie and being introduced to a new character at the end and movie ends. Other than that, highly recommended ofc!

Had no idea this Kdrama ripped off the extremely popular jdrama NigeHaji, wth.
Loved the trilogy, excited to see the two sequels!
