I'm so late but I finally got around to start watching this series. Didn't read the manga or watch the anime but I loved this. Always heard the fight choreographies in this were fantastic and they were! They were fast, gritty and intense. There were so many times I slowed down to see the moves they were doing. The soundtracks were great too!
this drama hasn't even aired yet, only one casting is announced and the drama had only been announced a few days ago and there's 70+ comments already hahah I think this is the most comments I've seen without the drama airing yet, even Alice in Borderland 2's MDL page doesn't have this much lol
I love this new renaissance of Machida Keita's fans <3
I'm so happy for them, so incredibly happy for the two of them and the real couple ofc! Huge respect to the man in real life, true love does exist. They both deserve happiness <3
One of Tsuchiya Tao's must-watch films for sure, her performance as Mai was fantastic., so was Sato Takeru! On top of that they ended the movie with back number's 瞬き song too ^_^ recommended
Well, weird!!! I felt nothing about episode 5, a bit boring though !!!The ML were hilarious, passionate and caring…
just finished watching ep 5. I think it's because it was only in this episode that we were introduced to Rinka's character and only now we got to know a bit more about Jiro's backstory & brother. Had they build it up more throughout the episodes leading to this one, I think it could've been a more emotional episode tbh.
i'm beating a dead horse here since everyone's saying it but regarding your "As you can expect from Japanese drama, you will find a lot of nudity and sex scenes here." comment .. You've only watched about 3 jdramas and I don't know for what reason you decided that you've already based an opinion and put out a blanket statement (supposedly general consensus) on the j-drama industry as a whole lol?
You will absolutely almost never find any nudity or sex scenes unless you're watching a film that's generally of a very specific genre (even so, they're rarely ever explicit!)
Netflix original series, Alice in Borderland, has been viewed by more than 18 million households worldwide in the 28 days since it was released; the largest number of viewers ever for a live-action (Netflix) original work from Japan ^_^
enjoyed it! it's cute, it's very silly but fun. recommended!
I see people complaining about their relationship or the acting but honestly, this very clearly isn't a movie/special where you take the story seriously. i find the overacting and expressions by both leads in those situations where the scenes are showing what their real thoughts kinda worked and were actually fitting, imo helped compliment those thoughts better since they're both being very devious to get one up on each other and besides, i felt like this is a show where you shut off your mind and loosen up and enjoy when watching this because the whole thing is silly when they were both thinking hard at the end to begin with! So you shouldn't be expecting some serious acting there in those scenarios at all lol because the whole thing is just amusing and fun to watch. all of that banter and especially both of the leads' thinking pov reminded me a LOT of Kaguya-sama which had tons of that if you wanted something similar.
i too wish we had a drama because they could've made this into a slice of life romcom and i would've watched it too :)

Good write-up nonetheless.
