Yes. It was filmed in 2020, airing now. Keep in mind, Chinese titles, must pass censorships, and sometimes it takes years, before it airs. So yeah, it's the first time, when title is on TV.
They've only just announced the cast, they may not even have started filming yet... In that case expect it to…
But drama is already in stage of taking reservation and pre-paying. And they only do so, if it will air soon. Also youku already picked it up so...shorter drama, latetly take a half a year to be edited and so, so we will see.
Like I mention earlier probably it's reboot and China promote them like that
Yeah. Ex wife stop was also the same. They added 2nd season name to the title, but at the end it was another story. Or rather like a remake. And I think here it's the same situation.

It's hard to say, because many times, even if something is promoted as second season, it's more like a hmm reboot? of the original title...and looking how story is described, that might be the case, so probably you will not need to watch the first one, but will see, when it airs :)
Main network is CCTV , so far it's how it was annouced, and they are mostly promoting after current show their air, will end. So it's how they plan to air it, will see how it will end. But it's one of those titles, which was planned to air in April from late Feb, so it's possible.
