You should at this point know, how it is with China. Few days ago aired drama, which was waiting 12 years to be released, and we have more like those in DB, which still didn't aired after many years. It seems they cleaning some basements hard this year, and maybe also because pandemic hits, not much was filmed still, so they use the old ones, to add something to the slot, because we also have a lot of reruns.
So please don't spread misinformation. We have tons of stories, which has the same plot, we know that China tends to make rip offs without crediting original material, because that would mean, to buy license, still, saying such a stuff, confuse people, and they really might think it's remake, and starts to edit some things because of that. Just because so many things are similar, doesn't mean they are based on the same material/are remakes to each other.

Anyway it's little more complicate in the novel, because we have Time Travel and Reincarnations/Transmigration, but yeah all 4 main characters, are reincarnations, and FL also has transmigration, because she re-lives technically other characters lives in the past, if it make sens. Just the timeline is messy.
They overall latetly do so to many titles, with those express eps. I mean i see some plus - more profit for them, we also have some dramas faster, because paid or not, raws all always somewhere...but yeah...ka chings :P rather wanting to release some titles asap, but maybe also, if the license will ends soon :P

It's not denial. The problem is , we don't have any official annoucment, about the drama status. Is it dropped, if it will resume (it was planned apparently in April, on undisclosed date), will they cut something and re-air it etc. Because it wasn't cancelled officialy, simple, bad political timing, youku as rumors says, violated some rules, so maybe it's also some legal dispute, but i repeat - the status of title is unknown, but for sure not banned yet. The best solution for the show, would be to giving it On-Hold status, but we don't have it, any any other status isn't correct either per se. So it is what it is. And other ongoing title, ain't harmed by it , by any means.
