well, the drama does not have unmarried men giving hugs to their female friends.

why not look at the rules the writers set for the drama.

Are hugs between men and women normal? No
is sex between men and women normal? No
Do men and women in the drama keep respectful distance from opposite sex? yes

these are the rules of the world as written by the writers.
Now, the only person who breaks these rules set by the writer is the FL.

Does the ML hug and peck his female friends? No

Now to that specific scene, the CPR could have been performed by anyone else who the writers could have written in that scene but since the 2 female writers wanted to juice it up for audiences, they did what they did.

The 2 female writers want their ML to be extremely pure who never has any meaningful interactions with his female friends like the FL has with her male friends.
The intent behind that kind of thinking is not misogyny, it's called misandry.

You know what, I quite like modern western dramas where the men and women are modern. Everyone fks everyone and in that kind of world setting, FL actually having a threesome would not be a problem in that world setting and dramas.

In this world setting, FL even touching other guys is a problem. because the writers have written the world in that way.

ML has interactions with other women, without having intimate scenes with them.

Again, it's the intent of the writers and their intent is to have have FL fondled by multiple men, while the ML has respectful interactions with other women.

Cause the intention the writers had behind that scene was not the CPR but the kiss.

if the actual intention was saving the 2ML, the CPR could have been performed by any other character. All the writers had to do was have someone else nearby and have them do CPR.

The intent by the writers matters,
since this is not the sole intimate scene between the FL and 2ML in this drama, the whole lot of interactions look dodgy.

Tell me, in the previous episode, why would the FL hug the 2ML? That was not life threatening. The 2ML wanted to hug her because he is horny and the FL is like, ok, lets hug.
She is a married woman, hugging another guy who has hots for her. Again piss poor writing.

The whole tone of the drama is that every character is very reserved in their interactions with opposite sex. The only exception is the FL, who sticks out like a sore thumb that does not confirm to the tone of the drama.
If all characters are being friendly and intimate with opposite sex, then in the tone of the drama, it would be acceptable.
but...the writers have only the FL with these interactions and no other main character.

The writers wrote multiple intimate scenes between FL and 2ML in the drama. The hugs, pecks, drenched FL picked up by 2Ml etc etc.
The intention behind these interactions by writers are pretty obvious, including the CPR.

in fact that scene could have had another person with them who could have provided the CPR but since the writers want the FL to be kissy kissy with the 2ML without actually making her seem dodgy, they went with the CPR, which actually for all practical purposed was a kiss since thats not how one performs CPR.

Every intimate scene the FL has with 2ML could have been avoided by the writers since they have nothing to do with the main plot - unless it's the Fl and 2ML which is the end game.

Also, ever wonder why these asian dramas have only the FL having these kinds of interactions with multiple men, while the ML hardly ever looks at other women?
Even in this drama, the only interaction the ML has with other women is when he is picking up a leaf from hair of 2FL. Now compare that with what the story gives the FL.

People are pissed because the writers intent behind that scene was the kiss and not the CPR.

the hugs, pecks, CPR etc are there in this drama not for story telling but to give the FL good intimate interactions with the 2ML and have nothing to do with story.

In fact, remove these dodgy scenes and the drama would be the same, may be even better since these writers would actually be forced to write a good story than to find ways for the FL to be rubbing against the 2ML.

This seems pretty much like the second half of 'A Gentleman and a Lady'.

This drama is the same as that one, a terrible terrible sequel with a FL who is poorly written. Amnesia for 7 episodes of a 10 episode drama and the only thing that happens in these 7 episodes is the FL getting it on with multiple men,

while the first part was fantastic,
the sequel is pretty much meh.

Nothing except for the continuation of love triangle happens for 7 episodes.

Strong FL in Cdramas is an oxymoron, especially in romance dramas with a love triangle.
I find each and every FL of a romance Cdrama with a love triangle to be incredibly dumb with no exception.

In Korean and Chinese dramas, the FL brain is replaced by shit when it comes to the 2ML.

Just look at this drama, why would a married woman in this period hug her husband's friend?

Episode 1 was better than most 40 episode dramas.

By the end i was pretty convinced the ML would chop his testicles, gift wrap them and present them to FL as proof of his love.
