The male lead is a total loyal person to the people he love. The ML was full on 'I will marry no one but her'…
Have not watched martial universe, looks like it was made few years back. less than 2 years into asian dramas and it's very very rare to find a drama that has ML having any meaningful interactions with opposite sex.
In fact you having to go that far back to show a ML having interactions with multiple women pretty much proves what I am saying. It's not about ex boyfriends or ex girlfriends. I am talking about the leads having interactions with other people in the drama. Probably in the last year or so of my Cdrama experiences, it's always the FL with rounded character, the ML is pretty much alien.
The male lead is a total loyal person to the people he love. The ML was full on 'I will marry no one but her'…
Isn't that every ML in almost every Cdrama?
These men have some sort of trauma or important thing that for some inexplicable reason curtails their interactions with girls. On contrary, no matter the FL trauma or situation, she still has good interactions with multiple guys.
ML not having time is BS. It's convenient plot armor to deny him any interactions with other women. And it's not like romance or interactions would take 24 hours a day for any busy person. Look around the world, the busiest leaders to people fighting wars have fallen in love and had families. It's not that he does not have romances with other women, he does not even look at other women or have normal friendly interactions with them.
The FL journey makes sense. The ML is pretty much fake, like most other cdrama ML.
The male lead is a total loyal person to the people he love. The ML was full on 'I will marry no one but her'…
My point was that most Cdramas have the same theme.
FL would have nice and healthy interactions with multiple men whereas ML is pretty much shown to have never glanced at other women except the FL.
that's where 'it's a real life story' theory fails.
If you get a ML like this one in few Cdramas mixed with other variations, it's sustainable but having ML have zero interactions with other women in every Cdrama makes for piss poor writing.
this drama is good though, once you accept the ML being some what unrealistic.....
The male lead is a total loyal person to the people he love. The ML was full on 'I will marry no one but her'…
Agree on your points.
but in Cdramas, it's always the FL who is shown with options, the ML almost never has any. Even in this drama, ML could have dated someone else, could have considered some other girl as his wife like the FL does. Or at worse have some interactions with other girls for his growth.
While we do see FL having this growth through other men, the ML growth is more often than not limited to FL.
This is where 'it's a real life story' analogy falls flat. it is only realistic when it comes to the FL, the ML, well, his story is as fake as it gets, at least the romance part.
A good start, strong finish but a bit draggy middle. Probably should have chopped down couple of episodes.
Best thing about this drama is the ML, 2ML and the Villian. ML and his dynamic with his sister was pretty silly in a nice way.
FL was meh, the role was neither good nor bad but pretty average.
Supporting cast was very good, the roles fit in with the narrative providing enough comedic moments. Shout out to the lady who is a bit crazy about the ML, she was a scene stealer.
only thing that bothered me was the amount of beatings the girls gave their guys & how it shown as funny. One or two in the drama would be palpable with all the gender dynamics of modern times but having it as a running theme through out the drama sends a wrong message. Violence is never funny, showing it as funny is doing disservice to millions of people who go through it daily.
If one is married or in relationship and is 'teaming' up with other men or women, it is called cheating. Now, whether that cheating is justified or not is a different topic.
but,
it is called as cheating. In fact that is text book definition of cheating.
It was so promising, the first episodes were really great, but then it becomes a mess... 2ml was for sure annoying,…
the ML should have had another relationship after the breakup.
from his POV, he is very young, another relationship could have been used to build his story. By the end it feels like he is a puppy wagging his tail as soon as she snaps her finger at him.
As viewers, we never really got the feeling that FL could lose the ML to another girl. it felt as if all the FL has to do chose ML and he will be readily available to lick her boots.
Do you want to see magic; just reverse the gender of the leads, automatically the ratings would be reversed too,ie…
in Asian dramas, it's a sin if the ML even looks at other girls. Even 30 year old CEO's are shown as virgins, who never dated, never looked at girls or ever been attracted to a girl before meeting the FL.
When you watch enough Asian dramas, it becomes pretty clear what kind of ML's are liked by the audiences.
The ML and 2Ml take more kicks to their faces from FL and 2FL respectively than they get kisses from them. if one is into BDSM, this show is perfect dominatrix set up.
Multiple romantic relationships ? 😂😂😂 In the real world, this girl would only be a sexual toy for these…
This drama is not Polyamory, it's a harem. The men are pretty much faithful to the girl who is having multiple relationships.
And in Polyamory, everyone gets to have multiple partners, it's not a harem. Meaning, the partners can have multiple partners. if people don't see the immediate danger in that scenario, they are being blind.
Let me ask the question again, when a person is getting married, would that person reveal their past to the one they are marrying? People who have these kinds of relationships don't usually do. The reasons are obvious. The consequences are also obvious.
In a utopian world this would not be an issue. in the real world with new diseases popping up very frequently, this goes beyond the moral issue. Case in point is the spread of monkey pox which is going around now. Guess how it is spread and which group of people are most affected by it.

Men or women should not be in relationships like they showed in this drama.
NO, it's nothing to do with moral reasons but more to do with health reasons. World wide children as young as 14 are catching STD's. a huge population of world suffers from one or other form of STD's.
While these relations on TV and movies seem cute, romantic and modern, in reality, some one in these kinds of relationships have much greater chance of catching and propagating STD's.
Just check stats for General Herpis in western nations & just think what could be the reason for it. Over half a million people are infected with Herpis every year in USA alone.
The stats are mind boggling. While the idea of drunken one night stand is shown as comedic in Asian drama, in reality, people who do this would run to a doctor for a health check up.
Last point being, people who sleep around don't necessarily share these details with their partners or the ones they are marrying. There are reasons for that, Once people harp on these reasons, the right choices automatically will be made.

Color me surprised.
Since the reviews seems to be good, want to give it a a try
So, Can anyone tell me is the harem continue into Part 2 or limited to part 1?

Lot many many shows out there. It's definitely entertaining, if you look past certain cringe things.

Do they ever get lost in Kunlun mountains as the title suggests?
At ep 10, the story was no where near these mountains.
NO, it's nothing to do with moral reasons but more to do with health reasons.
