I liked this show ok, but this is a mini drama that has a bit of a focus issue. I generally give mini dramas a lot of latitude since they have so little time to get the story across. However, there are a couple things that happen that you really have no frame of reference for why it is happening at the time and it's never explained later. However, that aside, it's an easy watch. You can see the whole thing in about an hour and a half.

The actors and actresses do a fine job with what is a very limited script and I felt that the actress playing Annie did a good job portraying an android who was learning to adapt to her environment. Not sure how I felt about the "love story" in this one though. I will chalk up the oddness though to the very short length of the show. You can only do so much in 6 episodes...especially when they are 15 minutes long or less most of the time.

There isn't really a story here. This is simply following the KPOP group Astro prepare for their debut Korean Reality Show Style. By that I mean, there are quirky interviews, fun games, and embarrassing moment for the guys as well as a couple touching moments as well. As someone who studied music business in college, I always enjoy these "behind the scenes" type stories from the music world. Plus it lets you get to know who the members of the group are a bit better too which is good. There are so many KPOP groups that it is easy to get confused about the members of the groups. Shows like this one give you the opportunity to keep up with the groups easier. Super Junior, Got7 and others have done the same thing and I tend to follow the groups that had reality shows more simply because they give you the opportunity to see them as more than just people on the stage. :-)

This show is a cute twist on what you usually see in the gender bender dramas. This time it's a boy having to pretend he's a girl. Oddly enough though, where the girls pretending to be boys tend to do everything they can to seem like a boy, the opposite is not true in this drama. He basically tries to just stay away from everyone as much as possible and doesn't talk so that his low voice won't be heard.

There isn't a lot of story here since it's only 3 episodes long, and it is definitely better once the female lead is let in on the secret. If you are looking for an unusual gender bender drama that is cute and more fluff than dramatic, this might just fit that bill for you. :-)

First, I must admit that I saw the remake of this story before I saw this original version. I absolutely LOVED the remake (Something about 1%), so this version had a lot to live up to in my eyes. And while I like the remake better, this original version is really really good too. The cast is amazing and the story is fun to watch. Since this drama is 15 years old the hairstyles, music, and such are a bit dated, but you can easily overlook that.

The one thing about this version that bugs me just a bit is that the female lead (played by Kim Jung Hwa) is a bit annoying at times in the way she gets angry over things. For example, if something happens that is CLEARLY out of the other persons control, she still likes to harp on it for awhile as if the other person did it on purpose. This is not a reflection on the actress, but the writing. The actress does a great job in the role, but they do give here a few annoying traits like that in the story. However, she is a strong female character and I love that she has no problem going toe to toe with the male lead (played exceedingly well by Kang Dong Won).

If you are looking for a well acted drama that will leave you with a smile, this might just be the one for you.

In light of recent events, seeing a certain actor in this drama play a photographer is a bit beyond disturbing. I don't want to even write his name out, but if you've followed the chat room scandal, you know. The rest of the cast are fine, but there is such a creepy factor in light of what he has confessed to doing. UGH!

That being said, even without that character in the drama, I still wouldn't have liked it. The FL character is totally unlikable in my opinion and has really no redeeming qualities. She treats her male bff like a servant and never shows any appreciation. She's foul mouthed, drinks heavily, and is just an absolute mess. The ML character, while the brightest spot in the show, is an utter doormat and you can not fathom WHY he would put up with all the garbage thrown at him or why on Earth he would like the FL.

It's just totally not my type of show at all.

This is the first Kdrama I've seen that deals with adoption where the person who was adopted didn't necessarily have a better life with their new family. Because the drama is so short there is a lot that they don't get into, but the plot is interesting and the actors/actresses all do a good job.

Actually, it feels like it's the prequel to a full length drama. It's fine on it's own, but it lays the groundwork for what could be a very interesting story later on as well...at least that's what if felt like to me.

It's an easy watch and it will leave you with some thoughts about children in the foster care/adoption system...at least it did for me.

I really enjoyed this show. The story line was interesting and the characters are fun to watch for the most part (there were a couple that could be annoying, but that's par for the course in most dramas). The mystery is well put together with several twists and turns, but it's not a crazy sort of plot.

My only issues with this drama were that both the lead characters tend to get a bit too focused on stuff that ultimately isn't any big deal. I don't want to give away spoilers, but for example, the FL is extremely bothered by an issue with a certain character that from the very beginning you know is not a big deal. Like literally...it's NOTHING. But she can't seem to let the issue go. It becomes a bit bothersome to watch because it just doesn't make sense. There are a couple issues like that in the drama and they are frustrating, but they aren't the focus for an extremely long time, so it's bearable.

Overall, I enjoyed this drama a lot. I liked the growth arch of the second male lead the most. His character seemed to be the one you came to understand the most throughout the show. Though his daydreams (and everyone else's daydreams) are something I totally could have done without.

If you are looking for a show to brighten you day, make you smile, and intrigue you with a mystery, this one might be just the fit for you.

This movie is so bad. It's filmed in a way that often makes you dizzy, it's plot is just bad on many levels and it encourages sex way way too early. Certain characters...who are actually supposed to like each other spend more time insulting each other than anything else. The actors/actresses are good, but they can't really shine because the plot is so bad. I really have nothing positive to say about it except that there is a bagel toward the end of the film that two of the characters are eating and it's rainbow colored. I'd never seen one of the those before. I was more curious about how it might taste than anything else in the film...so that says something right there.

I generally like mini-dramas and give them a lot of grace when it comes to rating them because they are usually so short that there isn't a lot of time for anything too complex. HOWEVER, this one drove me crazy. The episodes were only about 10 minutes long for the most part and I STILL found myself fast forwarding a lot of the show. Why? There are a few reasons...

1) So many flashbacks...seriously. Every episode a good portion of the episode is showing something that happened in a previous episode.
2) Too many dream sequences...Pretty much every character goes through all the possible outcomes of a situation before you actually see the real situation unfold. It gets very annoying very quickly.
3) The girlfriend of the male lead is horrible! Not the actress, the character. The actress does a good job or I wouldn't detest the character so much. Seriously...she's a mess and I could not take watching her make such stupid choices over and over. Then just when I thought she'd get her comeuppance...boom, not so much.

I really can't recommend this one. :-(

A decent story with great acting

First the good stuff:
The two main couples are fun to watch. they are the main reason I kept watching. They have great chemistry together. The main couple shows a pretty realistic type relationship while the 2nd lead couples are an unusual twist on a noona romance. The story is well put together and I like how the character's storylines are intermixed. The intertwined stories make it more fun to watch the side characters. I was especially interested in Woo-Shik's story and loved how they showed him working hard to get back to the sport he loved. I wish he had been shown even a bit more. In fact any time the ML, Woo-Shik and the other 1st place runner friend were together was great fun to watch and I wish it had happened more. I also wish the 2nd FL's younger brother had been a bigger part of the story. He was the character for which I felt the most sympathy.

The Other Stuff:
1st: I absolutely hated the way the younger brother of the FL was treated by both of his siblings. It was horrible and uncalled for no matter the reason. The older brother was awful so I already didn't like his character, but I was bothered by the way it tainted the way I looked at the 2nd FL and made it hard for me to fully root for her.

2nd: There is a swearing streak of F words in episode 9 that was just uncalled for and was especially annoying considering the fact that the FL is a translator and should have a better range of vocabulary than to stoop to such a thing. She was better than the Cinematographer (who seemed like a jerk) until that moment, but her foul words made her no better than him.

3rd: The Break. The reasoning for the break is dumb and could have easily been done without.

4th: The "movie scenes". To be honest, I fast forward through most of these. I just found them totally annoying.

5th: The Dads. Seriously...something is wrong with them. Also, The ML's Dad is supposed to be a Christian, but shows the most un Christlike behavior all the time. As a Christian, it offends me no end.

Overall, I liked the drama, but there were several things I wish had been different.

This is just such a sweet story. At 30 minutes it's an easy watch, but you don't feel like you were left hanging. That being said, it would have been cool if it was a few minutes longer, however, even as it is...it's great. Don't miss the final clip after the credits. Trust me...you must see it! I was near tears and then giggling all in that last 45 sec or so.

I am so impressed with the acting in this story. Park Hyung Shik and Han Ji Min do a great job portraying people with visual impairment. In fact, I would have believed that everyone who was visually impaired in this show was indeed visually impaired. That is not always easy to pull off, but they all did it well. And more importantly, they did it differently from each other. Each person's impairment was different and they played it that way. Truly impressive.

I can not recommend this enough. It is absolutely a must watch. Enjoy!!!

I put off watching this forever because I was afraid it would have a gut wrenching ending. ALS is a horrible disease and I couldn't figure out how it could end any other way. However, I was pleasantly surprised. This show takes an incredibly difficult situation and make it lighter than you expect without making light of the situation in any way. In fact, I have made a note of it as perhaps a good show for any family who is dealing with this disease so that they can see that it doesn't mean that the person fighting the disease has to give up on their dreams. However, the dream may end up looking different.

Honestly, this is not a "feel good" type show, but it's also not a total melodrama either. It's a very good series that is very well done and leaves you with much to think about. I was very impressed with all the acting as well as the thoughtful storytelling.

Such a cute show.

I have been in a bit of a drama slump and this was perfect for me. The first couple episodes had some swearing that annoyed me (especially since part of the time no one was actually swearing, but it was in the subs), but when you got past that it was really good. The story is fun, the characters are adorable, the acting is good. Plus there is a cute dog and cat and the episodes are short. I mean, can you ask for more? If you want something lighthearted and won't take long to watch, I recommend this. It's really a cute cute show and I'm so glad I watched it.

Just adorable...

First let me say, this is a plot that should not work and should feel strange. Plus, the whole idea of a guy adopting the older sister (even on paper) seems very odd since she is a legal adult, but I LOVE the little sister and him being her "Dad" is adorable. The older sister and the "Dad" are cute together, but there isn't really an ick factor because she's 23....not remotely a kid, and he's only 5 years older than her. Plus the little sister actually sets up the contract and the older sister is sort of the "plus 1" for the plan. So, somehow it all works. Is it odd...yes. But it's a mini drama with only 6 episodes so a lot can be forgiven since there is very little time to tell the story.

I found this show adorable. I enjoyed it a lot and I'm so glad I watched it.

I'm on the fence...

First let me say that the acting is this show is great. Everyone does a phenomenal job in their respective parts. And the story is interesting.

But for me, this show was lacking, but I can't really explain why. I found myself being irritated at the flashbacks even though they were very necessary to the plot. There wasn't really enough of a romance between any of the characters to focus on that one way or another either. My favorite character was Yook Seung Jae's role, but I felt like more could have been done with it at times as well. I didn't really like the "other realm" stuff either...for me those parts were just annoying.

Overall, the drama is good and I think the parts that bugged me were more specific to me than anything else. I'm glad I binged it because if I had paused between episodes, I'm not sure I would have gone back to it very quickly.
