I was unfamiliar with all of the cast (though the male lead looked familiar and have since found out he's in NCT), but I had no issues with their acting or anything. It's just a very cute show.

They tried to pack a lot of story in the short drama and I appreciate that. Also the characters were not so numerous that you couldn't keep track, but there are quite a few people connected to the story for it being so brief, so that was good too.
If you are looking for a short mystery with a small romance that won't take up a lot of time or emotional energy then this might just be the show for you. The acting is pretty good, though I was unfamiliar with all of the cast. I hope I see them in other things though because they worked well together.

The cast does a good job. You might recognize a couple of the actors from other things. One was in Shopping King Louis as a supporting character and another is a supporting character in the currently airing Sky Castle. Plus in one episode there is a cameo with two of the guys from NCT.
The story lines are believable and seem true to life for many high schoolers. They follow common issues in the lives of many people such as first crushes, friendships, studying habits, family issues and more.
I recommend this as a fun show when you want to just relax and enjoy without a lot of angsty drama.

The only things that are a bit annoying are the daydreams and flashbacks...of which there are LOTS. They are easily fast-forwarded through though and that makes the episodes even shorter. Most of the episodes are around 40 minutes so if you ff the flashbacks and/or daydreams, it's more like 35 minutes which makes it an easy watch.
I enjoyed this show a lot and found it refreshing.

The leads in this series are great together. They play off each other well and have good chemistry. It's fun to watch them face different events with entirely different responses to the same situations. The supporting cast also does a great job. I especially enjoyed the Grandma. She was awesome.
I recommend this series to anyone wanting to watch something sweet and uplifting without a ton of emotional turmoil. I enjoyed it.

This drama has a pretty complex story line. By that I mean A LOT happens to the main leads over the course of the movie. Had I known that it didn't have a typical happy ending when I started watching it, I doubt I would have finished it. However, that being said, I'm glad I did finish it. It's sad, but true to life in many ways. There are a couple things in the show that I took a bit of issue with. For example, it takes MUCH longer for a person to get over being raped (and you never really do) than this movie portrays, and I also didn't like the idea of the girl having sex literally at the same time she had her first kiss. I mean...REALLY? Stuff like that annoys me and (at least to me) makes sex seem much less of a big deal than it actually is...especially for a teenager. Other than those things though, the story line follows a pretty normal arc.
If you cry easily, then get the tissues ready for this one.

It's not angsty and I LOVE that. I was not a fan of the "game" aspect of the show. I understood why it was there and it is an important part of the story, it just wasn't a part that I enjoyed much. I often found myself fast forwarding the game sequences. The romance in the drama is sweet and the main couple is great together.
If you're in the mood for a sweet romance...this is just the ticket.

My only real issues with this drama is the "childlike" aspect of Louis. It was understandable at first because he was so "lost", but it felt like he never grew up and, for me, that got annoying. He could make adult decisions and do all the things that an adult needs to do (solve problems, care for his family, work, etc), but his mannerisms were often SO childlike that I found it uncomfortable.
Overall though, this is a drama that I liked and as I mentioned before, the entire cast is fantastic, so you really can't go wrong with this one.

The story line is fairly simple and the plot is not all that complex which is pretty normal for a mini drama. There isn't as much time to tell the story so it's can't be too complicated. That being said though, I thought they did a great job telling this story. It has more than one plot in it. In fact there are actually about 5 plot lines running through the show which is a lot for a mini drama. The four main EXO characters (the other members are only in it briefly in the episodes) are super fun to watch together and you can see that they are enjoying being together which makes watching them all the more enjoyable. The acting is good overall...some actors are better than others, but again...that's not unusual in this sort of drama.
The only thing about this show that sort of bugged me is that the female lead's character is VERY slow on understanding the situations around her (a bit of a pet peeve of mine in Kdrama) and her BFF is incredibly annoying. I could totally have done with out that BFF character.
All in all though, I really liked it and I'm glad that I purchased it because I think it will be one of my go-to rewatch shows when I just want to see something fun.

The acting is very good in this show, though there is one character who is just a bit over the top for my tastes. Overall though, really well done acting from this cast. I adored the two leads together. They are just fun to watch. I have rewatched this series more than once and often I just watch the scenes with the two main leads because they are just great fun!
The music is appropriate for the show. I'm not as familiar with J-pop as I am K-pop, so none of the songs really stick out for me, but they are good.
As for rewatchability...absolutely yes!! As I said, I've already watched this series several times and I probably will watch it again in the future. It's just a great show to sit back and enjoy.

My biggest issue with this show was the gore. Not the violence so much because since it's a cop show there has to be villains and I understand that, but it seemed at times that the gore that went along with the violence was gratuitous. Because of that, I often had to pause watching the show and watch something else for awhile. It was just a little much for me.

Let me start by saying Rain and L are the standout actors in this drama. In fact all of the actors do a decent job...especially some of the side characters. The fault seems to be in the writing. The concept is interesting. A man who falls in love with the sister of his deceased love. And really, up to about episode 15 I went along with it. But in Episode 15 and continuing into 16, I just wanted to smack the female lead. Her decisions literally made no logical sense at all and she never really explains herself...but in the end all is forgiven? So strange. Just so strange. The music is fine, but since the show is about music I really hoped there would be at least one really amazing song, but there isn't. Though the song written for "all the mothers" is very good.
I don't think I would rewatch this just because the end is so frustrating. And when it finally comes together, it immediately ends leaving you thinking, "What?" I mean there is a happy ending, but the female lead's actions are just so strange that it makes the ending feel off.
The drama is worth watching at least up to Episode 15, but 15 and 16 are just rough to watch.

Story: This is a unique story when it comes to the royal family because it deals with trying to bring back the monarchy after it had not been a part of the government for awhile. I have not seen that in any other drama, so I thought it was an interesting twist.
Cast: All of the actors and actresses in this drama do a great job portraying their characters. Kim Tae Hee and Song Seung Heon play the lead characters and are great fun to watch together. My favorite side characters were the Royal Chef (played by Lee Gi Kwang) and the main assistant to the Princess (played by Son Sung Yoon). Anytime either of those characters were on screen you just had to grin...and it was more fun if they happened to be in scenes together.
Music: Honestly, the music didn't really stand out to me at all, which means for me that it fit the show well, but wasn't overly amazing.
Slight annoyances:
#1: Kim Tae Hee's character of the Princess is great, but she has some incredibly annoying and childish characteristics that are ok at first, but by the end of the series start to weigh on you and you just want to slap the character and say, "CUT IT OUT! YOU'RE AN ADULT SO ACT LIKE IT!" She's supposed to be a college student, but her reactions in some things remind me more of middle schoolers (and I have worked with many middle schoolers in my life so that's not an exaggeration). These come out especially when she is trying to get her way about something. This is no reflection on the acting, but on the writing for the character.
#2: I don't want to give any spoilers so I will just say that there are a couple of journeys to foreign lands that a certain character takes that just don't make sense. It really doesn't add to the story...nor really take anything away. It's like they were added simply so there could be scenes put in where people could be like "I wonder when So and So is coming back." or "Have you heard from So and So yet?" Those kind of pointless plot points that seem to just make the drama longer for no reason bother me.
Overall though, this is a good drama with a fun cast to watch. So if you are looking for a show to enjoy after a stressful day, this might just fit that bill.

The acting in this is very good...especially the female lead. She handles what had to be a very difficult role with great skill. All those in the series show unique characteristics that add to the overall story. The only slight issue I had was that the story is supposed to take place over the course of 10 years (though it focuses mostly on about 6 of them), however the siblings of the main character don't really age. They seem to switch the youngest actress to an older one right at the end, but the hardest to believe is the brother. He is going through the years that would have entailed the most physical changes (late elementary school through early High School) and yet he pretty much stays that same. This is nothing against the actor playing him...he does a great job, but it seems like it would have made sense to change actors for him as well as he was supposed to be "growing older." As I say, it's a minor issue, but it was something I noticed.
I'm really glad I watched this series. The character of Aya will stay will me for sometime I think and I would really like to read the book the show was based off of as well.

I really enjoyed seeing Lee Jung Jin and Soo Ae in the lead roles. The worked perfectly together. And the performance of Lee Tae Sung as the second lead was great too. He perhaps overacted just a little in parts, but still...well done and his character was a fun addition and twist that added a lot to the story even after it was no longer on screen. A character that lingers past his/her on screen performances isn't something you see often and it was well done here.
All in all, it's a pleasant drama that I'm very glad I watched. I'm sure I'll find myself rewatching it in the future too.
