Very Good lakorn.... A strong female lead...and such a novelty, for once the heroine is the gold digger and the player (not innocent or naive)!. She had so many guys around her it drove him Crazy!!! ... Angie is beautiful and sexy...good at being a "player"!
Chakrit is an excellent actor, and nice to see him young and more playful ! ... he was very funny! .... I liked Pon's forwardness... from the first meeting, as she stumbles into his arms, he dares her to give him another hug...hahaha!!!...xD
Great chemistry b/w the leads..... Pon could just barely control his desire for her! ... lots of real kisses at the start !!! .... the perfect love/hate relationship ... they both hated and tried very hard not to love the other! ... but the sparks were flying from their first encounter!
The plot could have been stronger towards the end, but still good!
I agree w/ @MysteryMel-Bookish's review above... especially that my main rationale for watching is ALSO Chakrit!!! ... w/out him, I don't think I would have enjoyed it. --- I disagree w/one point, I didn't find Margie's role "shrewish", she just came across as upset all the time, mainly b/c she is NOT a good actress!
I compared her to Anne & Chakrit in "Sapai Glai Peun Tiang" , where Anne plays a stubborn, hot-headed, tough cop - very similar in personality to Margie's no-nonsense reporter. Anne was determined and out-spoken w/out being over-bearing ; she was still funny and charming ! Margie just came across as judgmental, whinny, and not really vulnerable.:P
But Chakrit is such a good actor, able to make us believe she is lovable!
This is a good lakorn ... Chakrit is wonderful as the Scary & Strict Nadol, struggling not to fall in love .... I don't know if it is the writers or the way Chakrit acts, but he always manages to make his characters very appealing and very manly, no matter how giddy in love the man is!
I liked the character of the Feisty, Fun and beautiful Ana.... and good chemistry w/ the lead!
The group seemed like real friends, as if their scenes are improvised and they are all comfortable w/ and like each other!
As usual in lakorns, it drags a bit towards the end, and there is always stubbornness at the end, sometimes it makes sense, other times it is just forced! :((
Have only watched K-dramas, but I really wanna watch this. Where can I watch it?
It just started airing this week, so let's cross our fingers someone will sub it and soon... I think it is popular enough that someone may.... Then again, "Battle of Changsha" was very much in demand, but only got subbed half-way :((
The latest to be subbed is "My Sunshine" w/ Wallace Chung, by the same author as the very popular "Boss and Me" ... I was watching on http://koreandramaonair.blogspot , but the links seem to have been broken.... I am told it is now on GoodDrama and on HotDrama ...
So keep checking w/ those sites, they may also start having "Lady and the Liar"
Great answers and questions!! To add to the one about watching too many shows at the same time, I honestly don't…
Exactly!!! ... I mean, watching dramas is not like a work assignment or an obligation! .... it is for pleasure... just watch and enjoy what you feel like, when you feel like it, :D
and... Do Not speed watch, or just read episode recaps, in order to catch up to what everyone else is watching!!! ... where's the fun!?!?
I assume the fan who has high standards is a big fan of kdramas. Hehe.
Love your metaphor!!! ..... But I would add to processed foods : Not Nutritious, as in shallow yet popular. :P .... but everyone craves it once-in-a-while!
@-- Romantic A .... I've added all those to my PTW List.... I had heard of the last two, but not the first... thnx :D
@-- Chatty A ... a well articulated response! .... Thank you for your insightful description of Japanese Doramas !!! .... I had a hard time, previously, trying to describe and quantify these qualities ... :D
@-- Bookish A ... I very much like and agree w/ your answer !
Also .... "Babette's Feast" has left an indelible impression on me... I vividly remember some of its images, despite having forgotten the plot... "A Feast for the Eyes"!
Story sounds good ... please writers, give us good characters and a reasonable plot to go w/ it... I also hope it has all the lovely things from "Sud Sai Pan" w/out the writers ruining the second half as they did in SSP....
As a couple, they look great together, and are fun to watch!
I was really looking forward to this, but I don't know if I can stomach Jia Nai Liang :((
Not after his wooden performance in "Best Time".....
Then again, maybe anyone would appear wooden in front of the intense passion of Wallace Chung's performances !! ..(actually Janine Chang has the chops to match Wallace C.)...XD
