First episodes were very funny and entertaining. (Why am I already anticipating a sharp downward spiral and the humour vanishing...maybe that has happened too much lately). Definitely eagerly looking forward to next episodes and hoping the quality stays high.
Am glad it's over. I enjoyed it a lot in the beginning but somewhere around ep 6 it got sidetracked and rather nonsensical tbh. What I liked PJH's acting (of course). The strong FL lead: more of this type pls! Hwang Hee's acting in the last ep showed an amazing range of emotions. Hopefully his next role is not a villain role. The queen character was unlikeable all the way. The more a drama has purely unlikeable characters the less I tend to enjoy it. It would have been more interesting if Yeon Wol's protectors had had a bigger role. Almost nothing was portrayed about their aims, or it came too little and too late. The court scheming and politicking was boring. In a purely fictional drama, why give it such a big role. The psychology of Sajo Hyun / Ak Hee got only a superficial treatment. And that damn shaman was almost a main character when a small support role would have sufficed. No offense to the actress who did great like she always does. 7/10
Pls all report the article (upper right hand corner). We want the press to self-reflect after Lee Sun Kyun's death and not just go on with the hunting.
This writer (pronoun: it, not she/her or he/him) will never read comments, but I'll say again: this is none of…
It really needs to get sued eventually because our comments here don't mean s**t to MDL. Proven once again. My heart goes out to LJW who has to wear a mask everytime he goes outside because of these predators.
This writer (pronoun: it, not she/her or he/him) will never read comments, but I'll say again: this is none of our f***in business. Sick to take interest in actors' private lives. Only no-brain creatures do.
The ending was utterly untisatisfactory. Bam, white truck of doom and that's that? No explanation needed? What was the crime that landed Nam Tae Joo in prison? Were the murder charges cleared? Did the police ever get the video of the killing of the husband? Plenty of empty time in the last episode for a more in-depth treatment of loose ends. I regret having watched. Only the first 2 episodes were good.
Just finished this. Quite liked the storyline, interesting take on the time travel genre which I haven't come…
Agreed. I had sympathy for PMY's character in the beginning and her acting was also more sincere. The she starts parading her looks and outfits (that to me didn't even actually even look good on her). That was exactly like her previous drama and made me dislike her character. I don't want to be mean but the runway style is distraction from the actual drama.
This was a really good article thanks! She was utterly memorable. The way she had empty eyes was particularly impressive. Never once did she overact (well, just once). Psycho villain characters are usually performed in a very steoretypical way (grinning and laughing). The scene under the water with PMY was particularly striking. I saw her in Devilish Joy and ended up hating her in that role, but now it's clear that she didn't get the roles she deserves before MMM. Kudos to the one who did the casting!
many actors do way worse in the drama, that's true. A lot of overacting. Jisoo's lack of experience shows and her acting is therefore on the weaker side. But she can become very good with more experience. Suzy was awful in Dream High, she's great now.
This ceased to be a psychological thriller when 2FL turned out to be a complete psycho. She's a makjang character. Another drama that went from a psychologically interesting thriller to a fullblown makjang. Tae Oh is unrealistically saintly. I thought that I saw the husband still being alive and masked in ep 12, but maybe he's not. Just a little too many twists and turns, but still overall an interesting drama.
Looking for something like My Dearest or The Red Sleeve. Does this come close?
Six Flying Dragons is much better than My Dearest, imo. The Red Sleeve is the best of the best. I'd also recommend Scarlet Heart Ryeo. This doesn't come close to these.
Another episode of annoying narcissistic female lead. Huh. Talks about police should work as an organisation.…
That's also my strongish opinion that PJH isn't likeable in any of the dramas I've seen her in. And again she's unlikeable although her acting is better. It would be a miracle if I like her in the end of this drama.
