Oooh that's an interesting take! Even in ep 16's trailer, you can see Luke looks like a lost puppy when Tao entered his apartment.

The hidden "love" imbalance definitely could cause friction specially since Luke's mouth tends to get extra visious as a defence mechanism. I really wish if Tao was abit more sensitive with the way she rejected his offer. It did feel like he meant nothing to her (even if it was unintentional) 🥲

I dread next week now- the breakup is going to be so harsh 🥲🥲🥲

TBF we can't blame them. Either they delete the 8 episodes or not broadcast at all 🥲

Ngl after watching Cdramas I've learned to be more patient thanks to the censorship board. If this was a kdrama, I'd probably be up in arms🙈

My take is that the more you "taste" something, the more greedy you become against your better judgement 🙈

Rather human of her - though it would have been better if her internal war wasn't at the expense of Luke's nerves😅

PS: better judgement as in in her POV, thr main reason to keep it quiet is so that LIME and her folks wouldn't assume she slepth her way to the top. This is fair enough considering rumours could even kill a career and this was her first job.

Idk if the last 2 have translations though. It would be awesome if they could adopt Lumi's story since she's clearly a fan favourite (kind of like TFF and Hidden Love)🤞

I don't think she would be fired unless she did something absolutely asinine which really isn't her style. Besides Luke values her as an employee.

Sakiko's eye for an eye treatment in ep 8 feels satisfying after everything she went through in the past year

Most recent cdramas no longer show the post wedding arc. If we are lucky we will get a few clips of their wedding 🙈

With C-novel to drama adoptions it's usually best to treat them as 2 separate creations.

To comply with the Chinese censorship board, dramas often have to do significant changes in order to get approval. It's better than not getting anything and usually script writers do a good job (considering the scrict regulations) from what I've noticed🙈

IKR?! I read some of their post breakup scenes. The way Luan and Luke adore eachother is just wholesome 🥲

I get what you mean about not really hating Luke. Perhaps it's because I already know how drama Luke works, the clues behind his behaviour (at least till ch 22) are quite clear. The author makes it a point to remind the reader that Luke is not a villain at heart.

I did find it interesting though how novel Tao figured out Luke's tendancy to say things he didn't mean mucg faster that drama Tao. The delay in the drama is better though IMO since it's easier to rationalize why she was so hurt 🙈

Same here. Earlier last week I was looking forward to their breakup arc so we can see their redemption arc but now that this week has spoiled us with so many sweet moments, I don’t want it to end 🙈

I just love how Iwanaga’s vibe shifted from being cocky and confident to almost being shy and youthful from the moment Hibino Sensei walked into his office. It almost feels like he shrank a few inches 🙈
Can’t wait to see how Miyata will handle things next week.

Thanks! This is indeed promising! I was expecting someone truly nasty and unlikable. I mean our Luke has his moments too but you can see early on that most of his words have layers so he’s more palatable (or perhaps it’s because of those puppy eyes?🤔🙈)

Cdramas and 🔥 censorship is a tale as old as time but I feel most of the time it works out well. With some c-novels, it’s usually these scenes that tend to ruin some of the MLs personalities since the authors tend to make them very animalistic? Too predatory for no reason. Have you noticed it? 🙈
