Yeah. Nothing good happens from continuously nagging someone who is already in distress even if they are right. While this is only a drama, in real life, it could unintentionally force victims to make even more reckless irreversible decisions depending on their state of mind.
If Luke was the one that was harassed, I’d say the same thing btw :)

There’s a time and place. His reaction is human but even after Tao said she was exhausted, it didn’t hit him why she was there. Her email clearly reflected how vulnerable she was at that point. Yes, he was frustrated but he could have talked to her about it once she was in a better emotional state. That moment in his office was not the right place nor was it the right time.
Her calling him Luan instead of Luke shows that she came to see her BF and not her Boss (a comment below pointed this out). He had several chances to tone down but couldn’t stop. True, it’s in his nature and he has taken steps to improve but unfortunately you have to admit he was careless at that point right?

Exactly. Her insecurities didn't come out of nowhere. They do have a huge gap between them and even if it's not intential, this can create problems if left unchecked for too long.
can fellow novel readers remind me (i read it quite a while back so some details are fuzzy):in the novel they…
Haven’t read the novel but I guess what the drama was trying to do in ep 17’s “don’t want to bother you” incident is to showcase yet another complication of the boyfriend vs, boss relationship conflict?
As her boyfriend, she should have alerted him, specially since he’d given her so many chances and also because he actually has the power to make a difference considering how Dony’s been able to escape so far.
But as her boss that’s been targeted by HQ, in her POV, alerting about her incident to him before she brought it up to HR on her own could have backfired on him. If he took the initiative (which he definitely would), HQ could use it as an excuse to turn on him. For instance, we saw this when the lawyers initially tried to frame the accusations on the basis that Luke was using Tao’s “claims” as an excuse to get rid off Dony before they had more solid evidence from Kitty.

You are forgetting that she’s already very insecure. While Luke wasn’t being mean (even checked with her if she was mad at him for saying it), an insecure person will immediately shut down once they hear something like that. Even if Tao thought he was only saying it to ragebait her, it would have been difficult to say “well actually yes, I was almost SAd by him just a few minutes before I called you”.😅
(Not blaming Luke or Tao btw - it’s just how insecure people usually react from what I’ve noticed)
Goodnight everyone. It has been great chatting with you all. Only one comment directed at me felt a bit antagonistic.…
💯 agreed!
You forgot the broken name plate from his start up.🙈 He kept it with him for years despite it’s condition but after he realized he was treating Tao like how his dad treats him, he threw it away out of frustration. Tao has so much power over him even if she’s unaware of it🥲
You can be angry and be comforting at the same time. We saw this through Lumi. She was ready to murder that scumbag…
Yesss. I did like how he used himself as bait in the end to get what he wanted and protect Tao and his team. It’s such a ruthless move and his flippant attitude sold it really well.
In the book, Tao did not go to LN's office after she spoke to Tracy. She asked Tracy if she could leave and got…
🥲 I can’t help wondering what could have happened if Lumi was not around and they had the space to themselves. Would he have reached out like how he did in ep 15/16(?) when he followed after her and 🐶 after he realized his mistake?

You are probably right. From Luke’s perspective, it might look like he’d just make things worse for her. At least she had her support system and he knows they’d do anything for her so she was safe

The promotion right? I couldn’t believe it when Luke didn’t try to defend himself. I can understand Luke lashing out when he gets mad but not even trying to protect himself is just even worse 🥲

IKR?! Given how affected he was and how sad she looked, I really thought they’d rush into eachother’s arms or at least Luke’s office might have automated blinds so they can get some privacy 🙈

Apparently novel Luke smashed a tea pot over Dont's head before beating the gell out of him🙈

Is this the scene where after the drive, Flora realizes just how much Luke sacrifices for his weekly visit?
