The only part I hate is giving her mom a redemption arc. The whole Hong family thing is frustrating because it…
HeeJoo is torturing her mum in her own way though. She doesn't disclose where she even lives.

As somebody who used to have so much control over HeeJu, this must hurt her alot. Specially knowing what a close bond HeeJu has with her father (or even the fact that her relationship with even In Ah is better than what she gets).

I'd be more terrified for the assailant than pregnant Heeju- she's trully a bomb ๐Ÿ’ชLove the idea of a SE/PDJ…
We can always hope that Netflix might see the potential of the characters and option for a second season I guess๐Ÿ™ˆ

The characters have so much potential๐Ÿ”ฅ Based on all their roles, they'd all make a great secret spy/ negotiator team.

In Ah and PDJ would be a wild pair. Both are blunt eventhough PDJ tries to keep it cool so they'd certainly be chaotic together and yet with their shared past, they could actually develop into another wholesome badass couple ๐Ÿ™ˆ

tell me one thing- BSE dies after being shot by the real BSE. where does the body go?it all happens in front of…
It was a dream. In reality it was the real SE who got shot and killed.

Heeju probably lost consciousness from the stress of it all and exhaustion. SE was by her side during her recovery right until she woke up.

Kinda weird to hire someone who pushed your wife off a cliff but ig he redeemed himself?๐Ÿ˜ญ
Haha I get what you mean! You can't really call him a villain since he was a victim first. And in a way, it was his meddling AND his phone that truly helped Heeju and SE find eachother ๐Ÿคญ

I too love PDJ and SE's chemistry together. I honestly wouldn't have really cared if they made SE his missing twin (eventhough it didn't make sense since SE was visibly too old to be P's twin). Their bond is preciousโค๏ธ

On a side note, wonder if Chief Kang knows that PDJ gets to work with and SE daily again ๐Ÿคญ

Guess after his self inflicted exile, SE understood PDJ better? And the only reason PDJ came after him was over.

If Heeju can forgive PDJ, guess there's nothing else that can stop SE from getting back his favourite lackie. Besides they both had the same goal in a way and both needed a fresh start.

um the entire time they regretted not sharing their feelings sooner but even in the last ep, he made his own decision…
SE is too traumtised to think rationally- specially where HeeJu is concerned ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Iโ€™m wondering ๐Ÿค” looks like they missed the genre tag plus Iโ€™m sure the last episode wonโ€™t disappoint
I'd say ignore the comments (both good and bad) and watch it with an open mind. BUT keep in mind what we have learnt about the characters in the past 11 episodes- that should help understand their choices better instead of being too critical? (Idk if i'm making sense๐Ÿ˜…).

It's not the best drama ever but it went beyond my expectations (dare I say one of the best I've seen in 2024๐Ÿ™ˆ) since I had mixed feelings with the novel's ending.

Ah no I'm working. No wonder you are so busy!

Hey got your notification! The fact that SW wasn't aware of a fourth missing kid seems highly suspicious considering…
Did you watch it? ๐Ÿ™ˆ

I'm so high right now ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Ep 11- loved how Mama Baek's idea of protecting her son was to lock him up- she may be cruel but the woman still had enough sense in her to fight her deep maternal instincts

Ep 12-......curious to know how you felt about it๐Ÿ™ˆ

A near perfect drama. If there was any big plot holes or things that did not make sense it was Senior Mr. and…
Chairman Hong had invested most of his funds on Chairman Baek's campaign.

Getting justice would be amazing but if he did go through the legal route, he would have lost all his donations to the point of bankruptcy which in turn would mean that his vulnerable family will be in even worse condition.

It's a cold blooded decision but he had to think about the living. Justice will not bring back his son to life/ In Ah's hearing. The losses outweighed the gains. That's why he got his "make a wish" agreement.

Heeju's mum- fortunately Heeju has not really forgiven her mum enough to trust her with something as simple as her home address which is good in kdrama land terms i guess ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Totally agree with you on YYS and CSB's performance- they were mind blowing homestly! I specially loved Heeju's character!

I love how we came full circle with Sa Eon's story. We first got to see him in action as Baek SE- Spokesperson who also moonlighted as a Hostage Negotiator to save hostages from Argan.....and by the end of the series we got to meet HIM again- still lethal but now more visibly human โค๏ธ

***
(I said that he was moonlighting in ep 1 because his team's conversation implied that it's not really the Spokesperson's job to handle negotiations but even the government trusts his expertise over those who are supposed to handle the negotiation)

Haha TMAI- you are correct!
What I personally have noticed is that sometimes i miss certain subtle hints during the first watch because I'm too immersed with what they are saying but when you watch again, certain things become so obvious ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Then again, seeing some of the complaints on MDL really makes me wonder if we are watching the same show- like you don't even need subtitles to understand certain plot points that have complaints ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

I really hate the last episode trope of one of the lovers has to disappear for a year and never calls. I understand…
I guess they could have handled it better but if we look at SE's pov it kind of makes sense why he'd take such a terrible decision.

He was so vulnerable at that point. The name he hated already was suffocating him...and now he finds out that his name was the main reason why Heeju suffered all this time? Right after nearly losong her simply because she was his wife? It probably killed him to know that he was the main reason why HJ kept suffering๐Ÿ™ˆ

(I mean based on the flashback, it looked like Heeju and the kids were finally bonding so if the accident never happened, her mum wouldn't have a reason to harras HJ that much. Her life would have been relatively more better.
From what I know the dead son was her mum's kid so she would have focussed on doting on her little prince, instead of forcing HJ to get the chairman's sympathy.

One crash destroyed Heeju's life in his POV. He's wrong but for a cold man, SE always was vulnerable deep inside ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿซ

It wouldn't make sense for the SML to be the dead brother...why would Chairman Hong abandon his ONLY son who was…
Sang Woo was the first orphan who met real SE in his masked form. It was Sang Woo who told the other kids about the house with many toys and that's how they ended up in the murder mansion one by one eventually.

The only reason SW escaped was because he got frightened when rSE tried to kill a cat infront of him. I'm not really sure why he didn't warn his friends but I'm guessing he got adopted shortly after that incident so he lost contact.

The show he has with Yuri is his way to get justice for his missing (and presumably dead) friends since nobody was keen on solving the old case.

Heeju's younger brother's incident isn't connected to Sang Woo. Just that since the Baeks and Hongs are neighbors, the poor kid was unfortunate enough to see the rSE by chance ๐Ÿซ
