Why did YYS posted pics with PDJ so much 🫢🫢🫢Did they suddenly become brothers ?
PDJ is practically his "work wife". Even Heeju called him out on it 😝

I think it's maybe due to something called "noblese oblige".Also, the ML's backstory included a similar role as…
TMAi- noticed this with other pages. Identifying is messy with WTPR specifically since usually bot accounts fixate over petty points like plot holes and actor's looks.

Unfortunately, today's concern is too sensitive to identify the difference very well (though there were a few obvious accounts here too who were taking advantage of the situation).

That's true. Looking at SNS though, the issue is too complex to label anybody at this point based on their watch history. There might be a few obvious accounts but i'm guessing many are genuinely concerned.

(I saw a post online with a screenshot of some of the comments from this site getting circulated around so even MDL has caught more attention today).

what was this last episode? i still don't understand why they decided to put a war zone plot in this... like,…
Argan arc - Technically, Argan was mentioned in ep 1 as this was the negotiation SE was handling during HJ's kidnapping but they messed up the execution of the storyline in ep 12 (not the best, but it was handled better in the novel instead of the rushed reunion in ep 12).

They could have thought things through or changed this plot though since there was an obvious bottle neck with the schedule timeline.

It's probably a combination.

Not everyone who uses MDL creates an account until something compels them to (either the drama discussions/ theories are too good to resist or to voice their concerns).

That being said, not all accounts are honest (i'm not talking about this page but in general). It's upto the users to decide whats fair and what's manufactured 🫠

Ah i see.

It was a foolish thing for MBC and the writer to even consider using these names. Their silence as well as NF's lack of response just makes things worse.

That's nice to know at least I guess...or makes this worse. Guess let's see how MBC/ Netflix will handle this over the next few days.

You know what's insane to me?If the evil grandpa had had his granchild committed and taken the ML into his home…
Comitting the grandson would leave a paper trail that could lead back to the Baeks in their egotistical minds.

Having an illegitimate son too would be contraversial to his "sparklingc reputation specially at 55 (assuming the grandpa was 70 and SE was 15 during the flashback events)

Yesh they probably won't.

I'm trying to recall how they handled the KTL contraversy but for the life of me I can't recall if they actually ever put a statement or simply quietly removed the problematic scenes.

They messed up with the names ngl. Whether it was ignorance, a failed attempt at trying to be woke, or spew propoganda, they should have forseen the outburst since they know how netizens work.

It's true that the novel too had a war conflict but it was like a continuation of the Argan arc if I'm not mistaken (it's been awhile so I can't recall what exactly the war conflict was about ).

What the f just happened? So many wholes in this story. So if he is a son of his grandfather, who is his mother…
His mother isn't important to the story. The Chairman is a creep so wouldn't be surprised if he paid her off/ made her disappear the moment she gave birth to him

In SE's case, guess motherly love wasn't important to him since he's always been sorrounded by toxic mothers (Heeju's + his "mum"). You can't miss what you never had?

It's times like this you really wish if you truly understood the language honestly so you can decide for yourself.

Netflix will probably not address this issue. I saw on X that they are already under fire over something to do with Vietnam and Squid Games (no idea since I don't follow the series).

I really hate the way they translated and placed it though...the banner made it so clear and obvious but the way they phrased the subtitles just comes off as ambiguous.

Somebody said in below comment it was translated differently in French can anybody confirm this ?
Now even french translation is involved?

At this point MBC should just apologize for/ address the whole fiasco since they shouldn't have used the names in the first place- wouldn't hold my breath though for an answer.

Apparently even knetz can't agree on one translation right? And the more you look at the line, the more different interpretations come up. It's like everybody is right and wrong at the same time on what the message meant🙈

Such a phenomenal series! 🌸I guess the only question i have in mind that maybe someone can answer., How did…
Heeju dreamed it. In reality, the cops shot the kidnapper dead before he could pull the trigger.

(Heeju was delirious by this point with exhaustion and stress so she likely misread the situation)

There’s no one intentionally pushing anything to boost the ratings; the issue arose simply because some people…
I see.

Yeah, what you said makes sense- unless it affects their profits, Netflix probably will not bat even an eye. MBC too unless it affects their future programs.

The only thing they can do is quietly remove the scene all together eventhough it's not going to help much.

Give it a go. They didn't understand the subs well.
It's not the first time Netflix translations genaralized the context behind a translation...🙈would be nice if they'd just fix it or mBC does something to clear the issue.

nice drama , recommended watching . i think 2 eps. have been reduced , because after getting delayed by 1 week…
The episode count didn't change but I guess they ran out of screen time to flesh out the Argan arc better.

For instance, there was a beautiful farewell line in the novel, they could have still used in the drama but they condensed it down simply to ".. i will find you" a little too early into the series to really feel the impact. (As a stand-alone, what SE said was great but since they made him disappear in the drama, they could have done more).

Give it a go. They didn't understand the subs well.
It's questionable if you don't understand the dialogue and you are watching the drama in 1.25 + speed as some do.

Breaking the subtitles into 2 parts instead of adding the full text in one screen can be misinterpretted as Paltima kidnapped the Koreans as well. If Netflix just simply said Izmael militants instead of "armed militants there" there will be no doubt on who the drama supports.

(Note : i didn't even notice the country names until it was brought up here since I was looking at Heeju's reactions instead of focussing on the subs so I only saw the second line about the hostage situation and not about the airstrike. I just assumed "militants there" were related to Argan🙈 Keeping the 2 lines together in one screen is important)

You are right but at this point I really don't think we'll get an official statement from either MBC or Netflix.

At worst they tried to push propoganda or at best (lesser evil), they tried to be woke by using current events but failed miserably by putting their own spin.

Some other contraversy is bound to happen soon that will make netizens lose focus on this so they probably will just let it go or use the "fictional country" approach
