It’s all about balance. In the original timeline Eito wasn’t supposed to be alive so probably that’s what happened? The door is just a trigger to bring everything full circle similar to how he died in the original timeline.
(At least that’s my hypothesis - the manga probably has a more detailed explanation)
Edit : Also another comment mentioned how all major events remained the same eventhough our Eito tried to change them, so this too could be a factor.
Episode 11 was good, but there were a few scenes that I honestly didn’t understand 😭.For example, that girl…
About her “friend” - she’s jealous. Turns out the bratty main actress, Seori, and her “friend” were child actresses around the same time. Since the “friend” was only a human prop even when the bratty actress was a kid (she tried to be chummy by trying to reminisce about a long forgotten ad they worked together on), there is a high chance that she also worked with Seori in a similar setup back then.
Considering how Seori is finally getting a breakthrough after a 20+ year failed career, it must have really made her jealous because she’s still a nameless support actress (basically a human prop) even after so long.
I'm in no way defending Mundo, he's an awful person but the grandpa is horrible too. Using him and then casting…
Honestly the grandfather is even worse. Mundo at least probably had a whole hospital worth of psychological issues with his family before he was abandoned and handed over to the grandfather but the real question is was the grandfather aware of his deception every time he punished SG mercylessly?
I read the Webtoon, haven't checked the drama out yet. I was soo surprised that this story got picked up, because…
The show probably would have caused an uproar 5-6 years back (specially before Glory era) but I feel most kdrama viewers are now familiar with how violent students, parents, and teachers can be in reality (specially given the number of cases that are raised in SK alone), so we are kind of desensitised?
Corporal punishment is awful BUT if the aggressor refuses to learn from their mistakes and the law doesn't protect the victim, having a Bureau like the ERPD would actually be a blessing.
Love how they connected ep 3 (and even ep 2)with 4. It doesn't justify ep 3's actions but it was a good way to show how far the consequences could reach 🥲
Eito father pissed me off so much. He wasted all of the money. Eito should just not trying so hard to change the…
At this point, it’s the community’s fault. It’s always “Eito knows best” but not a single one of them thought of consulting him before contentiously engaging with the investor. They already were fooled by one “Ginza big shot” after all over 30 years back🤦♀️
Now I'm wondering if I should hold off until all the episodes are out.
It’s surprisingly bingeable. Best wait till all episodes are out - I caught up within 1 day 🙈 I thought the last episode will be out tomorrow but turns out my Netflix is 2 episodes behind 😅
So if that's Eito on Neo's body, why a such kindhearted person become a much more ruthless person like that?
I think it’s the fact that original Eito was “romanticized” too hard? He died young - at a time when the street was beginning to hit its lowest. Technically even his “death”/ Sarasa’a own near death experience and the fact that they both couldn’t pursue a better life was in a way rooted to the street’s desperate situation. Getting a second chance to live as a CEO probably would have driven him to want to be more successful and save his family. The only issue is that unlike with our Eito, he has no knowledge of the original timeline and now has to compete with “himself” unlike in other timeslip stories.
Considering how naive his dad is, I wouldn’t be surprised if he too had flaws that could manipulate him into being more ruthless than our Eito. For instance, for all we know he may want to play hero and win Sarasa’s heart by turning the street against our Eito and Tomono/ swoop in the last minute and save the street from the acquisition?
I thought the new school rules prohibiting physical contact, was only applicable to the students of that school?…
It’s pretty realistic though how things escalated given how obsessed the principal was-especially once you find out WHY she is so adamant about the ban. That’s why when Ema tried to defend herself, the principal kept harping about the school’s personal mantra on what a “lady” was.
The ban started out as a standard rule you find in most schools depending on where you come from (especially in Asia). But because the principal’s objective was fueled by a personal vandetta, things went out of control. Even the school’s advisors couldn’t control her.
I’m not seeing the relevance of the past to the present. I mean it’s disconnected for me.
History is repeating itself. If SG and Seori aren't careful, they will be doomed in this lifetime too.
Since Seori's main goal with her second chance is to live a fulfilling life and now she also has a chance to redeam herself from her past regrets, she will fight till the end to achieve her dreams (while protecting OG Seori's wishes too).
Some viewers really love to exaggerate things. I was expecting a ridiculous affair for the fire incident and the aftermath since there were so many complaints on what should be realistic - from the fact that tiny Huiju saved I An to the fact that I An looked immaculate even after being caught in a fire. What our lovelies failed to mention was WHO actually saved him/ Huiju’s struggle/ how everybody involved was bandaged through out ep 11 and the fact that we never actually got a close up of I An immediately after he was saved AND the fact that his head injury was hidden by his fringe/ obviously the royal medics would have made sure to attend to him as soon as they had access to him - hell he didn’t even have lipstick on 😂
What exactly was the problem again? PS: The complaints I am referring to are not related to the fire itself
EPS 7-8 (mostly 8) pretty much addressed most of your grievances if it helps :) They gave her back story and fleshed out the MC’s past life connection- it’s heartbreaking and also explains why she is now so no-nonsense about things.
We still do not know how she became a royal consort but they’ll probably reveal it in ep 9
Dont come after me.I am starting to get disappointed of fml.She should continue to bear the queen’s aura, not…
The thing though is part of her fame is because her "joseon" aura makes her stand out. She's fresh...if she acted like just any other new celebrity, she'd lose their interest soon enough- her quirks would make her annoying. Right now she's just an extremely method actress which is respected.
Is the painting she dries in the last episode the one she saw in the museum in an earlier episode?
It might be the same painting but she added further touches to it may be?
They look almost identical. It would be helpful if we could know how much time had passed between the 2 incidents. It couldn't have been that long seeing as she was horrified by how much she had aged in ep 1🙈

It would be an interesting concept ngl but I’m not sure how they could explain it seeing as by that point, Eito would have been dead for over 12 years
