The one that was presented in ep 9/10 was written by the nephew. They haven't revealed yet that the former King wanted to abdicate the throne too.

Right now how it works is, the little King declared that HE doesn't want to be the king on his own accord if I remember (need to watch that scene again)🙈

The former king's version should have burn marks since the queen did try to burn it but it's possible he might have saved it before it got destroyed (QM was so angry she left the room right after setting it on fire). The only issue here is, if the brother was the one who sent I An the edict back then, he could have drafted a fresh one instead of using the burnt version 😅

Hopefully things will get better now between the QM and the little King now that she knows the whole truth.

Can't really blame I An for the way he has been acting after finding out that he was actually right there with her son when things went to hell but he never stopped protecting him/ actively try to sabotage his nephew. The little King's fears too make sense now. Their last hug together seemed so hopeful🙈

Since I An also promised to help her out, she no longer has to tolerate her power hungry father.

It just hit me- could it be possible that the former king smuggled it himself along with the robes he gifted in ep 10's flagsback? I mean technically the QM already tried to burn it "before" the main fire happened afterall and she left almost immediately. The former king could have just saved it before it was too late and sent it out to I An before taking his own life (just guessing based on the few flashbacks shown on ep10)?

There have been instances where it’s difficult to install modern technology to historic buildings without ruining the foundation. However, since they have electricity AND there was an unexplained fire in the recent past, it is an interesting choice not to include sprinklers OR at the very least keep a fire guard within the palace property lines 🙈

Probably the spy maid. The moment the Lord found out she spoke to the PM, she became a liability. The QM needs to keep the maid alive in case things go awry since her father pretty much threatened her that she could be his scapegoat if needed.

The fact that she owns the only Bugatti in the country says a lot about Castle Group’s wealth🙈

From how I see it, the father's reasoning comes out of concern for both I An (as a general observor/ for HJ's sake) as well as a means to protect HJ from further danger. It's not out of malice like with the PM.

The marriage contract is just an excuse for I An's enemies to force him to relinquish his royal rights. If HJ decides to divorce him and take the blame (specially since technically all accusations were directed at her), then the enemies can no longer gain what they want= keeping I An safe.

Since Castle Group is powerful, they can protect HJ from most of the backlash as long as they remain united as shown in ep 10,

I An's plan is pretty good too but Tae Joo's brotherly speech is important to help even with his agenda since you need the public's support. Imagine finding out that "the nation's pride" was willing to sign a rediculous contract just to protect his beloved's rights and not because he was hungry for power?

I know I'm probably being delusional but I'm lowkey hoping that the PM doesn't really want to kill I An- he hates I An's guts but may be in this particular case with the Lord, he's just being covert?

Right now Lord In.. and the Queen Mother are under the impression that the PM is willing to do anything to possess Huiju. Isn't it the best cover to infiliterate into enemy lines and figure out their plans before things go out of hand?🙈

QM definitely had a crush on him back then. Hell, she probably still has some residual feelings left considering the way she blushes when ever things get heated between them/ when she saw him shirtless.

It's kind of sad really...not only did she have to give up on her feelings, she also lost her close friend in a way (seems like she and I An were school buddies long before the royal proposal came up). Worse- she has to see him daily even after giving up.🙈🙈🙈

The PM is an enigma at this point. Assuming he truly abandoned his rosary, I guess he chose the dark side. But idk...he's still powerful enough to do some good/ make things worse🫠

He is quite bold though because unlike most SMLs, the PM actually has enough power to cause chaos/ end chaos.

1)When/ why did they fall in love?
I An fell for Huiju because she was the opposit of him. Even when they were kids, she persevered through any obstacle thrown at her/ didn’t fold despite how harsh her family and society was to her. For a suppressed young prince (specially as a guy that’s not impressed by materialist things as indicated in ep 9), Huiju would have definitely caught his attention even as a kid. His love for her probably deepened once they started to spend more time together - long enough to see her true self behind her cocky mask.

As for Huiju? We can see it happened more gradually after they started to spend time together during their “dating” period. Is it really that unusual for someone so unloved to fall for the first person that sincerely cherishes her as she is even if it could hurt him? The PM doesn’t count because while he was nice and caring, it wasn’t completely unleashed like with I An.
