With a title such as "talented lady", it's known that the bestowed person is skilled in 4 arts: music, chess, literature, arts/painting. Thus, it's not really needed for the drama to go in details how she gets to this knowledgeable level to be known in town as "talented lady", just that she is truly skilled.
