Depending on who's answering your question. =) There are 2 couples. They both have chemistry, but I personally feel 2nd pair has more chemistry even though it may not be the traditional type of chemistry most viewers are used to seeing.

Their connection is not through affection. It's a tug-pull frenemy type of attraction. They don't share the same lovey-dovey kind of relationship ML/FL has, but 2ML/2FL pair does have chemistry. I enjoy watching them a lot.

One of the reasons could be because iQiyi doesn't want to risk having MJTY cancelled/suspended/shelved by the Chinese gov't due to the rape investigation on one of the actors in the show. So, they had to rush release before the gov't get to it. Just speculation here but it would make sense. So many high profile shows never made it to release stage even after they finished shooting and editing because of actors/actresses run in with the law/tax evasions/drugs-substance abuse/sex scandal/death..etc.

Some people couldn't tolerate her over-kiddy voice persona in her previous drama(s), including me. I believe she got a lot of new fans from MJTY after she changed the vocal issue. I had a great experience watching this drama.

Huan Yu was legible to be SW because he was Gong. He's not an outsider. His situation is like GYZ whose parents also died. GYZ would be legible to be SW too once he's old enough.

2. WuJi was given the box by someone (major spoiler if I said who) to give to FL. That person planted the poisonous dart. WuJi didn't know about it. If you still want to know who gave the box, let me know and I'd tell you.

He's smart. He's just not discipline in the beginning, but later on in the drama, you'll get to see how naturally intelligent he is. Just be patient. I didn't respect him until ep 20.

There is no first wife. Huan Yu is not his bio son. Huan Yu's parents died, so ML's father took Huan Yu in, and over time, Huan Yu called Hong Yu, the late SW, father.

SGQ is a spy from WuFeng on the surface, but the ultimate goal is to annihilate WuFeng. She's also working for WuFeng because she's a disciple of QingFeng Sect and that sect has succumbed to WuFeng, so in essense, she is at WuFeng's service. She just wanted to seek revenge for her original family/sect/Gushan. They were all decimated by WuFeng and she was the last of her lineage. She's really not that bad. She's just driven by her need to seek justice at all means but viewers don't like her because her method is too harsh and extreme. She's also under pressured to deliver "performance" in exchange for antidote or risk death every 14 days. So, it's under time constraint constantly. It's not like she has 10 years to seek revenge. If she doesn't perform, she will die and won't even have the opportunity to avenge her family. She's really a misunderstood character and viewers aren't looking at her circumstances accordingly...Maybe they should be in her shoes to see things differently.
