Now we know the beauty of the foreshadowing from the weiqi game in ep 10 that was revealed in ep 11. Several antagonists won one a small battle, but lost a big one in respective well laid entrapments set for them. Shangguan vs YWS, ShangJue/YuanZhi vs Lady Wuji.

I agree this is very unlikely as 99% of the time, the leads are almost always protagonist. The ONLY way a lead is ever a villain is when he/she lost their memory, and started the new life on the opposite end.

All her head pieces and bridal jewelry were already removed when she was caught AFTER the attack attempt on GZY.

Since all the brides wore the same bridal head pieces, the hairpins may have been distributed by Gong Valley. If that's the case, it would be easy for someone to obtain a similar one and swap it. So, I highly believe that Zheng NanYi's original hairpin was replaced with a poisonous one with the secret note inside. Seems an inside job.

The scene made Shang Jue suspicious because prior to HuanYu interrupted the tea/conversation between the late Sword Wielder and Shang Jue, he was reporting to SW that he had a good relationship with the Zheng family leader. Shortly after that, HuanYu came in and said Ms. Zheng was a WuFeng spy.

It has a decent amount of action scenes, but also a lot of dialogues that require careful listening because it's loaded with details.

Zheng NanYi does have a hairpin. You can see this in ep 2 when she was about to attack GZY. YWS has one in the same position on the head which she took off when she planned to attack as well but was stopped by ShangGuan. As for the blurred person, I can only tell he has a waist pendant and seems to dress like a man.

Looking forward to watching this version. I LOVE both ML/FL and are betting on them weaving magic into the story.

Totally agree with your assessment. He's the type of smart that hides all his cards, while she is overconfident smart which could become a problem in downplaying a rival's strength or underestimating a risky situation, leading to a costly consequence.

This scene is very interesting.

We would never know if he let her win on purpose. It could go either way.
1) He went easy and let her win JUST to see if she would take that next step which won more black qi’s.
2) He really did lose to her, and both him and us viewers get to see how cunning she is by pretending to be weak but is actually a strong and smart character.

If I had to pick, I think he lost on purpose. I feel he’s normally one step ahead of her.
