I find his acting phenomenal and such a joy to watch. He portrays his character so well, and that's why we're feeling so strongly to even his miniscule facial expressions. Sadly, I feel his complex character is either grossly misunderstood or underappreciated.

Was Tushan Hou's bio mom a mistress? Was this the main reason why even though he was older than Jing, he wasn't delegated as the next "master/head of the household" title and to take over the family business? Or it was just because Jing was more business smart?

I find Chishui Feng Long and Chenrong Xin Yue's brother/sister relationship rather endearing. They look after each other and are actually decent people.

He's an underling for Xuan's uncles. His entire family was decimated by XiaoYao's biological father when the two clans (Xuan's grandfather and XiaoYao's bio dad) were fighting.

I'm fine with XiaoYao ending up with anyone of the 4 ML's, and accept her ending up with THAT person in the novel. Having said that, I enjoy watching XiaoYao with CX the most on screen, EVEN when I know they won't be together in the end; even when she said she won't pick anyone like him, and when he gave up on her and admitted that he will now only be her "ge-ge" and nothing more. Their love and relationship is beyond gf/bf type. There's just a really deep level of understanding for one another.

Not true. I actually feel that Xiao Yao would be happiest if she ends up with TSJ because he would do anything and everything for her without question. Me wishing Deng Wei shines more in his role does not equal shipping Xiao Yao with another ML.

I’m aware I’m in the minority here going against the popular XiaoJing army and it certainly is a personal opinion. I didn’t read the novel but it’s not simply the author wrote TSJ not showing much angst because she probably didn’t write CX showing much angst either if that’s her writing style but that didn’t prevent Zhang Wan Yi from bringing life to his CX’s character.

I actually like the premise of all Xiao Yao’s three relationships. They all bring a unique experience. I just think the actor who plays CX did a better job.

I just finished ep 23, so there are plenty of moments between TSJ and Xiao Yao from the very beginning. However, I still don't see intense chemistry between them unlike CX and Xiao Yao with whatever relationship they have, cousins or not. I fault this on Deng Wei's acting performance for not being skilled enough to harness the chemistry because I've seen enough of Yang Zi's dramas to know that she's able to deliver. It's just a pity because so many potential angsty scenes fall flat.

Interesting that YaoXuan is not ranked higher. Would it be because he's not as handsome, or too cruel initially to XiaoYao, or he's her cousin and people don't like this idea?
