I totally agree about Destined being better, and had Gong Jun and Dilraba not the leads, I wouldn't even be watching…
cool.. 😊

The lazy writing is getting worse... you go assassinate and you'd bring a sword that reveals where you are from...…
Which part is this? If you're referring to Mo Bei, that's not his sword.

I really need explanation in eps 1. Did she deliberately plan to accompany him, like sailing and ssleeping literally…
Yes, from the very beginning, it was all part of her plan to get closer to him and establish herself in imperial/court affairs.

I like Simon Gong in here even though his role as CP seems tamed. All I can say is that normally, I would hate a ML who's indecisive, somewhat clueless, and too soft; but somehow he's balancing it rather well with his performance.

I’m little bit confuse here. In order to ring the bell to get your case be heard you have to go through the…
Yes, in all the historical cdramas I’ve watched, it’s normally 30 hits on the back. Recently, in the “Destined” drama, if a woman rang the bell, her fingers are to be crushed.

Why did Han Ye lie to his father saying Anle saved him?! Was he backtracking somehow in order to clear the path…
Because he didn't want people or the Emperor to know Ren An Le is so important to him that he's willing to risk his life saving her. Also because he already selected Di Cheng En to be his Crown Princess, so it's not appropriate to appear he cares for another female in that manner.

He like her but his duty for his country is priority for him. I think both going to die in the battlefield.
I think they have feelings for each other, too. I also agree they both take their duty and responsibility for their respective country seriously. She's pretty headstrong so I can't see her dropping everything just to be with him especially if she found out he was the assassinator after her father and has ill-will against her country.

Title The Legend of Anle Spoiler
Di Cheng En's backer and Mo Bei are on the same team. It seems to me Di Chen En knows about the assassination plan which means it's also part of the plan for her to rush in front of the Emperor when the assassinator (believed to be Mo Bei) attacked him. This way, she can be rewarded for saving the Emperor and also solidify her position as Crown Princess. She wins, and her backer also wins for having a puppet in court.

From ep 19, now I know Mo Bei's motive and why he was with Anning for 5 years. My question now is does he like her?

I only read a few small parts in the novel and wish I didn’t because it was enough for me to be underwhelmed…
I refrain from reading original Chinese novels/materials before watching their drama adaptations because it totally ruined my viewing experience once on a supposedly very good drama. It took all the excitement out from the show because you already know what's going to happen next. If the show deviates from the original storyline, you're also disappointed. So, it's double whammy. I would only read afterward if the show is sooooo good I just need more of it in any other form I can get. =)

I'm beginning to suspect if a lot of scenes were cut to pass Chinese censorship. This is probably the best explanation why there are so many fill-in scenes of the Di Cheng En and so many backstories/histories aren't explained. I haven't read the novel, but from reading some comments here, DZY and HY are supposed to be equally intelligent, and DZY herself could also be very ruthless, and possibly the prince as well. We don't see much of that presented in the drama which leads me to believe scenes showing these traits were clipped because the Chinese gov't probably doesn't want viewers and fans to idolize a hero/protagonist with negative traits.

I guess it's a good thing I didn't read the novel beforehand; otherwise, I would be doubly disappointed with such a butchered-up watered-down drama version.

I'm sooo excited this airs tomorrow!!! My faves Cheng Yi and Joseph Zeng are both leads! I don't think there'll be a lot of blood spitting scenes in this one compares to Cheng Yi's other dramas.🤪

This director also does excellent works. Hope the three Holy Trinity are in place...that is, the scriptwriter delivers, too!

How is this?
It could be frustrating sometimes. A bit slow as well. I’m still watching it though because there’s nothing better to watch at the moment.

At this point, I think the drama should change the title to "The Legend of Cheng En" and update the summary to "a story about an orphan living the life as another woman's identity and trying to achieve her goal of becoming the Crown Princess while overcoming multiple obstacles, including the Dowager Empress."

Title The Legend of Anle Spoiler
Why did Anle react the way she did during her sword dance?! Why go after Di Cheng En? If you know and respond,…
It's part of Ren Anle's subterfuge. During a conversation with LMX, he mentioned if Ren An Le is too obvious in helping Di Cheng En become the Crown Princess, it might give away Ren An Le's real identity since both ladies are supposed to vie for the Crown Princess position . Because of this, Ren An Le said she will act openly as if she also wants to be the Crown Princess. However, during this event, I think Ren An Le realizes that she might actually be jealous because the prince treats Di Cheng En so nice.
