If you're living in the US, which I am, then a STATE would be the best interpretation of a ZHOU. The STATE's governor, like a ZHOU's governor, also serves as the political head of that area.

Those are real name of major cities and provinces. In historical Cdramas, the geographical names are almost always real EXCEPT when the storyteller purposely indicates it's fictional, such as fictional dynasty and fictional cities , so that the writer can change historical events. As for how the country was governed, I see links were shared . 😀
Well, that chapter of the story is closed. GJS has seen and gone through a lot with what happened. He pretty much has to grow up overnight. I can't wait to see him be a man now and fight back.
Now that I've seen more of LZS and how ruthless he is, he's trash in my book, too. I've been patient with LZS, hoping that he has a sliver of redeeming quality. But, when he had his man killed RuGu's escape helper, the old man, and also had a hand in killing GJS's childhood friend, I realize there is no turnaround for LZS. He IS evil and his pretty face isn't going to gain any sympathy from me. Wang and LZS can both die a painful death!

She's been typecasted. That's why she plays similar roles. That aside, her acting has improved in Hidden Love. Her crying scene in the alley in ep 4 while ML consoled her was very moving.

Yes, he won the bet and SHOULD have final say on the right to divorce her. However, in today's ep 14, she pretty much told him that she should be the one to decide whether to stay or go because it's her decision to make, not him; and she choose to stay. =)

Desperate time calls for desperate measure. =) Not to mention, she's a quick learner and GJS did say she pretty much got the gist of it, just need to lean forward and apply more leg pressure. =) Anyhow, her riding to save him when she's a beginner makes her even more amazing in my eyes because it means he's THAT important to her now.

I easily can count 5 dramas I've watched that he was in, which means, I've seen him in more than 5 different dramas. I don't remember ever seeing him smile. I'm sure he does smile, just that I don't remember. 🤣

Yup, I used to watch mostly Kdrama, but now there aren't that many good ones anymore. The hallyu period is over for kdramas. China is investing bigtime in cdramas with more domestic competitions. They have more novels/webtoons that can be adapted to dramas, and more performers to select from, too. Well produced Cdramas are very high-calibre now. Kdramas are mostly among three main networks, and now with Netflix funded dramas sometimes. I do miss the Kdrama gold era period, though.
