From hearsay, the original author wanted YD and YY be together in the end, but her readers threw a fit and protested against it because YY treated her poorly, while Yu Mo catered to her and was there for her all the times. So, the author succumbed to her fans/readers' pressure and wish, shifted gear and changed the couple to YuMo and YD.

YD was so adorable when YY, with bracelet in hand, asked for her wrist. She honestly believed YY would thank her for her assistance in solving the tomb case. She was all coy, self-praising the beauty and virtue linked to her name, while extending her arm out with feigned shyness. Totally the “no, you shouldn’t have, but sure give it to me” move.
