She was cheating on him. The baby wasn’t his. The father was the other colleague standing next to her by the pool table when You Qi went to confront her bf at the company’s party. It was mentioned in one episode they were seen shopping for baby/maternity clothes together as a reveal.
I've mixed feelings about the boyfriend from the female lead s bestie. he's such a good boyfriend to her (expect…
It was his plan to break up with her. He planned ahead for her to find out that he was cheating so that she initiated the breakup. This way, it made him look nicer. It was mentioned in one of the episodes.

I agree with you that she probably has first hand exposure to PE, and you’re right about this topic not covered in Kdramas. Most employed strategy in Kdramas for corporate world is a hostile takeover, and trying to get 51% equity.
Amazing ending….. this is such a realistic series; one that made me super touched at various points… so very…
I’m impressed too with the writer’s knowledge of private equity and venture capital. The translation was succinct in conveying the business and investment concept without being too convoluted.
The way Lu confessed at the end was so cute 'I want to be Old Ning's son in law' HEHE
I noticed that, too. So adorable and not one bit of his old arrogance. He posed it in such a sweet way, like he would be lucky to have her instead of the other way around.
Second half of the final episode is so awesome! I couldn’t stop clapping and laughing, especially at the company anniversary’s party when everyone has an announcement. What a great closure to the show by bringing joy and laughter.

I love Kenny from Princess Agents. To Love further solidifies his position on my top favorites/list of actors. Now with Master of my Own, he’s pretty much sealed the deal for me. :) I’m so glad he’s casted in Master of my Own.

I watched this series when it was airing. I remember having to wait for new episodes and the suspense was intense because most episodes ended with a cliffhanger or hook. I guess perhaps that why I like To Love because it was a great show with a memorable experience . If possible, try again without skipping or reading spoiler. It’s a sleeper hit to me, but may not be popular to the mass population because it’s a bit on darker side.
Hahaha sorry but I saw sophisticated and was like huh? The last word I expected to see in a list of things to…
Midway in your initial post to me , you stated “learn to pronounce “ after the word sophisticated. Unless I’m misinterpreting, your intention sounded exactly as it’s written.
I don’t have to Google words to use. These words are in my vocabulary. Just because my writing style is different from yours, it doesn’t mean I’m googling for vocabularies. What I DID Google here was the link to the additional usage and definition for your reference.

I hope you’re joking with me because I always enjoy a good laugh. 😀.
Not sure why you’re telling me to learn how to pronounce sophisticated. I can enunciate it clearly. However, what I find more important when learning a new word is definition, not pronunciation.
The word sophisticated has many meanings; the one you posted above having to do with fashion is probably the most basic definition and widely used. My intended use of the sophisticated isn’t related to fashion, but to mean something along the line of “intelligent, knowing, not naive”.
From the Cambridge Dictionary under the “intermediate English” section - it defines sophisticated as:
“having an understanding of the world and its ways, so that you are not easily fooled, and having an understanding of people and ideas without making them seem simple: Eg. Sophisticated readers understood the book’s hidden meaning.”
For your convenience, here’s the link and there are numerous examples cited from real life sources as well on how sophisticated is used in a sentence unrelated to fashion.
One more episode and this would be the first Seven Tan drama I completed! I’m impressed with the actors in this…
I love Seven and Lin Geng Xin. Seven sold me in Under The Power. I became a fan to both leads in that show. Go Ahead and Sword and the Brocade are good too but I skipped around a bit. The rest, like you, I didn’t finish. Geng xin’s To Love is great. It may got renamed recently.
It’s sad that some viewers are putting this drama down and rating it unfavorably. It’s such a nice series. The show is more for a mature audience, and by mature, I don’t mean older in age but viewers who are more worldly, sophisticated, and have experienced different phases of life.
Romance is not all about kisses, skin-ship, and the obvious verbal “I Love You”. Some viewers claimed there’s no romance in this drama, but to me, it’s just the right amount weaved into the story. The nuance of adoration is there between the leads. Their love may not be overtly angsty, but there’s plenty of tension and attraction.
I totally enjoy this drama. It’s one of my favorites so far this year.
Been waiting for this series to air!! I simply can’t wait and just hope that it’s going to be great! I just love Joseph and Baron, and I don’t want this to be a disappointment, especially for Joseph since his last few projects haven’t been stellar.

@JulesL As with you, I agree the reason makes sense as to why NM decided to give SML a go when he asked her to be his gf. She understands everyone needs a chance, just as SHE needed to be given a chance to be an investor; not to mention, he was her former crush.
It’s a slow burn filmmaking style in which the scenes develop slowly, as if in a real world. Some people may not enjoy this type of storytelling because it seems like nothing is happening. But if it’s well directed, as it is in this case, it’s explosive and very satisfying.
I still can’t get over the ending scene of ep 27.
From the scene where NM saw her lemon in LJM's take away box, the viewers are given a glimpse of what she actually meant to him. LJM left all professional awards but kept a silly toy that belonged to her. The director reveals this “truth” to us so subtly, but loaded with the knowledge of how important she was to him.
ML was feeling so defeated and beaten with all mishaps coming down on him that he finally caved in and just had to hug FL for comfort and support in a moment of emotional pain. In life, at the lowest point, you just wanted to be with the one you love the most and that sometimes their presence alone can alleviate your suffering. That’s what the director is showing us at the last few seconds of ep 27.
So heartwarming and poignant. How could we not love this?
MDL ‘s viewer database is probably skewed; and then there’s the small number of viewers for this drama to consider as well.
Hopefully, more people will catch on to the show later on.
