Just watched Avenux first impression of the drama and she talks about the āpillar head roll scene ā Iām…
Hahahaha I laughed so hard over it too. Someone posted the link so I checked it out. I cracked up so hard when AvenueX included a clip shot of CQF lip-bitting face as she praised how amazing he looked in that scene. I was likeā¦ā girl!!! You and I have the exact sentiment!!! ā
I don't usually obsess over dramas but the constant presence of MDLers on this page makes me very happy. šIs…
According to whatās been shared here, the show has reached 1billion view already and a rating of 8.7/10 on douban which is considered extremely high for a Chinese drama. I suppose this means itās well received in China.
I have soooo many things I want to talk about these last two episodes. OMG! But what's at the top of my head is…
I totally know what you mean. I have so much I want to discuss after watching each and every episode, but I got to refrain myself from spamming the forum. Maybe you can share you view!! šš
Is it me or does Shen Ru Zhu seem like a creep? YinZhang told him to back up and has been avoiding him and he's…
I think heās a good guy in the show as vouched by GQF. I truly hope heāll be her protector even if they canāt be together in an official manner down the road. Well, maybe the emperor will pardon her and grant her a new status and marriage if they are in love⦠wishful thinking, of course.
I love how GQF appears at the bookstore and rescues Panāer from Mr. GAOās indecent advances.
One should ask why heās even there and in such a timely manner?
Since Iām a hopeless romantic, I can only imagine itās because he understands her all too well. He knows she would most likely seek Mr. Gao out to settle business, and for her safety, heād have to shadow her.
The comic parts are great!! They are all so funny and most parts are purposely exaggerated with in-your-face silliness.…
I hear you. Just enjoy the ML/FL part as you are now. I do that myself in many other dramas also when I couldnāt stand uninteresting sub-arcs in storyline.
Can someone explain to me what is so bad about the pariah status? When it was mentioned in the beginning, I thought…
She isnāt that bothered by her pariah status as much anymore until she finds herself falling for GQF. Her outcast status basically means almost zero chance of being his official wife due to his high status, that they canāt be matched as sheās deemed by society to be way out of his class range. Her high status was stripped due to her fatherās crime (believed to be framed). She was crying not so much of her pariah status but more of the fact that it would be almost impossible for them to be together in the open as a couple. She was mourning over what would have been a beautiful relationship but could never be materialized, and this truth saddened her miserably; hence the flowing tears.
i'm on episode 13 at the moment and what really makes this drama for me is the amazing chemistry between the two…

I donāt care for Ouyang either, and to be honest, I simply canāt wait for GQF to crush this bug.
Reading yāall comments and laughing like a crazy person ⦠this is the joy of a good drama and good commentary…
Awesome!! Laugh while watching the show and then come here to read the comments and laugh some more. What a win-win! Whatās to lose?! So therapeuticā¦I can cancel my June sessions with the shrink. š¤Ŗ
During the tea challenge in ep 16, GQF gets to see Panāer from outside the audience circle. Itās one of my many crazed-over scenes by the director/scriptwriter.
Heās never seen her true ability as a tea connoisseur at a master level of everything tea related.Up until then, heād probably thought she knows enough about tea to run a tea house with a strong business acumen and is trained on serving tea with some feminine spins. At the challenge, she proves herself highly skilled in tea arts, and heās enchanted. GQF is falling deeper with our Panāerās essence with each passing day !! šš¤
Sorry, Iām just too excited I have to lay a claim on Panāer as OUR beloved heroine.

Yes, GQF is one to keep!
