I'm so smittened with Soo-hoo. Jung Hae-In really breathes fire and life into this character. From what has been shown to us, he has so many positive traits. For one, he has integrity and values life, his and others. Innocent lives are precious, regardless of North Korea or South Korea, and he's able to grasp this. He could have just saved himself and Yeung Ro, but no, he's also trying to save his comrades and their families' well-being back home, his sister, and the students and staff at the dorm.
He's caring although he may not be able to display it visibly; one example being the scene where he tried to request for chicken soup for his comrade, Eung Cheol. It seems like nothing, but it says a lot.
He's intelligent with great analytical skills. After acquiring hard evidence, his ability to pivot stance rather than blindly following orders from higher up is praise-worthy. This shows that he's not brainwashed by all the propagandas and misleading political views. One has to understand if one's a pawn and being used, then all bets are off. There's no such thing as dying with glory. If one sacrifices himself, especially if for a stupid reason or worthless cause, then there is no glory in death but plain stupidity. I'm so glad that he's smart enough to see this. Life is of great value.
Great bonus this week is that Soo-hoo finally smiled. His features softened; and the viewers are granted a glimpse of his returned boyish charm. Soo-hoo and Yeung-ro are just too cute in the attic, and I'm excited the production team treated us to a sweet and delicious scene.
Side note on Ms. Pi. I'm beginning to suspect that she's a lesbian and was in a relationship with Boon-Ok's older sister. We have yet to see who's in the photo with her. She said that someone asked her to hire Boon-Ok (this was probably Boon-Ok's sister's request) and this would explain why she puts up with Boon-Ok's misdemeanor and scathing attitudes. Boon-Ok threatened and said something like "I'll tell everyone your REAL secret;" meaning that Ms. Pi's spying for ANSP wasn't even her real secret. So....what's her real secret? Jung Hae in is so hot in Snowdrop. Totally oozing masculinity. It's amazing how he portrays this alpha character, a 180 degree change from Something in the Rain and One Spring Night, whose characters I also love.
From time to time, at some angles, his features remind me of a younger Song Seung-heon, especially his eyes.
I've been watching this series religiously since it airs. What has been keeping me looking forward to the weekend for Snowdrop isn't the storyline, but the chemistry between Soo-ho and Young Ro. As the series progresses, I'm further captivated by Jung Hae In. He carries the show. Others acted well also, but honestly, I would have dropped the series or not chased it weekly had Soo-ho's role not been played by Jung Hae-in. He's now on my top 3 fave list for current actors in KDrama/Cdrama world.
I can't wait until tomorrow for ep. 11. The tide is turning and more excitement awaits!

Never had I ever thought that it would be who it was when the assassin’s identity was revealed. I have to say this revelation is the highlight of today’s airing.
The director amped up his camera tricks and angles also, bringing forth out a lot of anxiety and suspicions in several scenes. I was particularly worried for someone’s wellbeing at the market scene.
Guess I’d have to busy myself with Christmas shopping while waiting for Wednesday to come.
